I'm on the newest mcr with the old fingerprint but ran the fix so I didn't get the ota nags. I haven't gotten the notifications in about a week until now. It is a 1.9mb update that contains bug fixes and new maps. Is this new?

Just wondered if there was a way in which I could force an update? I've had to revert back to stock firmware and am currently on 2.3.1. Ive tried the CHECKIN method but nothing happened. Any suggestions guys?
you can manually push the update through recovery located here:

Nope..
Do look for the thread titled '2.3.3 link' though. It's rather easy to apply it manually.

Thanks guys
I have done that method before but I think it screwed up my mms hence I would rather receive it OTA just incase. Are they still pushing out the 2.3.2 update for us that are yet to receive 2.3.3?

Probably not. They would probably send you the version that goes from whatever you're on to 2.3.3 since the Android 2.3.3 URL thread has like three different versions.
The alternative is to flash a custom ROM such as CM7, Axura, GingerS, MoDaCo which features 2.3.3 (unsure about GingerS)
I still don't get the 2.3.3 OTA either. Since I had some problem when I was using N1 and tried to update it manually, I decide to wait for OTA in my NS. I am curious why it can take so long time to push out an OTA?
Two reasons: network strain and damage control in the event of Problems.
I'm waiting for the OTA to come through to my other halves new NS which we got yesterday to update from 2.3.1 to either 2.3.2 or better still 2.3.3 but, guess it ain't happening any time soon :-(

Force update in post #2 that I linked. This is the same file you would get from the OTA. All the OTA does is bring a dialog box saying its available for you and it goes to that link. The link was achieved using aLogCat. It's directly from *.google.com

how to force update
Picked up my NS on saturday (so it should be running 2.3.1 right?) Anyway when I go into settings-about phone-system update it says i have latest version. I am fairly confident this is not so. So how do I force update to my NS?

Search for the thread titled '2.3.3 link' and do it manually or wait until you get it pushed down to you. There it's no way to force it OTA (over-the-air)

No offense to the OP, but I find it very odd that people buy a "pure Google experience" android device then manage to forget to use Google.

OP's name does have "mac" in it
I go into system update, but I can't click Check Update and it says
"There is an update for your device. Please check notifications."
Problem is, I have no notifications. Any ideas?
In the same boat as well.
I keep getting update for the same 8.2.3.9 firmware ):
I don't really want to install the leak because the update is out but I can't seem to get the notification

The leak and official update are the same.
Ever since the latest update, maps navigation has been randomly freezing on me. Has anyone else encountered this?

Last update being Version 8.0.0 (#800001324)? That's what I'm on without any issues.

I haven't gotten it either. I think they stopped the ota updates due to bugs. I think they will begin again when 5.0.2 is ready (speculation) for our phones.

I was tired of waiting so i sideloaded ota 5.0. After that the ota 5.0.1 came directly.
Works perfect.

Still haven't received it but it looks like a junk update.
NRD90M.G935VVRU4BQC5
This software update provides the latest enhancements for Enterprise customers.
One Talkā from Verizon:
The Galaxy S7 edge now supports One Talk, connecting your office and mobile devices with one number.
App update:
Amazon Shopping (version 8.1.1)
https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/samsung-galaxy-s7-edge-update/
Edit: I received it and it updated Android security patch level to April
Are you sure that the OTA Firmware isn't actually a 7.0+ Nougat Build? The QC builds that I've seen so far have all been at least base 7.0 Nougat.
I don't have a S7 vzw. Yet. Probably within a few days.

I got this pushed to me too, updating now.
I just checked system updates. There is a new one for me, it include Verizon One Talk and some security updates. Don't k ow if it's QC5. I'm downloading now.

Update downloaded, install failed. Guessing because I'm rooted.. anyone else??
They just now only included One Talk? That's been on the S6 and S5 for a long time now.

Yep. You can return to stock and keep some directory changes you made by using their desktop Verizon Software Recovery utility for Samsung. You'd lose root but the phone will get and install OTA updates.

Installed and used it for a couple of days. Found, that security changes made all calendar notifications on locked screen to be hidden - "some hidden event" & "some hidden time"
I know we will lose root if we take this update but is the update still rootable? I'm rooted on QA4 still and refused to take this update yet as I just received the notification today(Tuesday 5/2/17). I like being rooted with dual speaker mod,and V4A installed. Can anybody confirm if this version is rootable using the Nougat root method? How can I disable the uodates?

If you go to @jrkruse "root for nougat" thread and follow his guide, you'll be able to root the qc5firmware.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-s7-edge/how-to/root-method-nougat-t3566978/post71275316
I am already on BQC5 and just this morning I got a new system software update downloaded, ready to install message. Odd thing is in the past, prior to BQC5 the notification showed the build number, date and what was changing. Now it doesn't show me anything. It just says there is an update do you want to install now or later.....
Anyone have info on this "unknown" system update?
Looks like this
Software Update G930VVRS4BQC9 for Samsung Galaxy S7 and G935VVRS4BQC9 Galaxy S7 Edge
Android May security update.
Device Stability improvements, bug fixes.
Further improvements to performance.
http://sihmar.com/software-update-g930vvrs4bqc9-galaxy-s7-edge/
Should say further improvements to guaranteeing random lag.
