Redux is a custom ROM, built with three key aspects in mind: Clean, fast, stable.
This is not necessarily a hacker's ROM but thought for day-to-day usage scenarios. To keep it clean, only features that are considered useful by the development team will be included in Redux. This ensures that every single feature implemented will be carefully selected and programmed into the ROM's source code, which lead to stability and intuitive usage. Performance tweaks find their way into Redux quite often because speed and smoothness are two key features which must be present in a day-to-day usage scenario. Redux is mostly bugfree, again a vital feature for the 24/7 usage scenarios this ROM has been thought for.
Code source:
Since January 2011, Redux has become fully open-sourced. The code is available at Github.com, here.
Features:
Gingerbread base, coming straight from AOSP.
Lightweight and clean builds
Built for day-to-day usage, meaning stability and good battery life
Fast and smooth, the UI is working very nice
User interface tweaks and additions
Added functionality, such as new Browser and Camera options
Makes use of ext partition on SD card, to provide space for more apps
More detailed features included in this ROM are available in the changelog from the second post. You can also find a quick FAQ over there.
Requirements:
Amon-RA or ClockworkMod recovery to flash the image
Installation:
Flash the .zip file from recovery. If coming from another ROM, erase /data and /cache partitions.
ROM Downloads:
Official Redux download page (Stock and themed version available)
Test builds and other downloads are available as well.
Credits:
CyanogenMod team for their work on enhancing Android;
Beenee for his wonderful work in vorkKernel;
Classical Gas for various graphics.

Disclaimer:
At least in its earliest versions, this ROM is not guaranteed to be perfectly stable, so I'm prepared to listen to bug reports and suggestions, as long as they're made in an organized way.
Team:
Code:
[B]ihlades[/B]
Read the FAQ below to learn how you can involve in the Redux project.
FAQ:
Q: I've installed it, what now?
A: Enjoy your Desire. Redux comes fully equipped and most usual tasks can be accomplished with the stock apps and settings. Google applications such as Gmail, Maps or Youtube are included as well.
Q: Is this compatible with Oxygen's HBOOT partitioning scheme?
A: Yes, since v1.0.0-RC4 Redux is compatible with such a small /system partition. While you shouldn't encounter issues, such an exotic partitioning scheme is not supported by the Redux team.
Q: I thought this ROM had A2SD. Why isn't there enough space on my phone?
A: Apps are being moved to the ext partition on the card but dalvik-cache is eating up a lot of space. If you can't live with this, download the 'apps_dalvik2ext' script from the add-ons section in the first post. Flash that like a regular update .zip (warning: the .zip isn't signed) and you should have more space on your /data partition.
Q: What's with all those kernels available as add-ons?
A: Those are the official Redux kernels. The Redux-SVS_BFS.zip is the stock 2.6.35.9 Redux kernel, used until v1.1.1. The ULV add-on isn't a standalone kernel, but just a script which lowers the voltages fed to the CPU. Since not many phones can handle these low voltages, this add-on may cause severe instability problems for many Desires. This means we won't offer any support for problems occuring with lowered voltages.
Q: What about those test builds?
A: Once in a while the first post will contain links to test builds (snapshot builds or release candidates). Those are a glimpse of what's to come in future versions of Redux but aren't fully supported. Altough they're pretty stable in general, these test builds may still have issues. Providing feedback on them will ensure the quality of the final release.
Q: Will this feature be included in the next release? Please!
A: Best thing to do is ask in the forum. Most eye-candy, bragging features won't be included, Redux is not a sole demonstration of how mancy bounce effects you can have in Android. Features that will be considered useful will however be implemented sooner or later.
Q: How can I build redux from the source?
A: Since the source code is entirely hosted at Github, you can download the source code and then compile it for yourself (text in square brackets is optional):
repo init -u git://github.com/Redux/android_manifest.git
repo sync -j 8
. build/envsetup.sh
lunch bravo-user
make redux RX_KERNEL=true [THEMED=true]
Q: What can I do to help? Can I join the team?
A: You can improve Redux at any time. You can help with translations or code improvements at Redux's Github, using pull requests, reporting problems with Redux in this thread or helping out new users.
Q: Where's the donate button?
A: Nowhere. Redux isn't built for money, nor is it a very big project. If you'd like to offer support for the team, please help with finding and fixing problems, translating Redux or help new users. Let the community be what money can't be.

EDIT: Installing now! Really, really hope this rom has what the other Ginger roms didn't..
EDIT#2: Amazed how fast the install was!!
Continuing with setting up settings, and installing apps to test speed of it.
This ROM is quite good and stable. However, is there any working FM radio for this ROM? I have tried the ones from MIUI and Oxygen R5, but unfortunately both of them don't work! FC....
One more thing, the pull down status bar is excellent. It will be more ideal if Data service icon can be added or it can be user configurable. Good job, man.
i tried to flash but every time i get error as
"E:Wrong digest:
System/app/browser.apk
E: verification failed"
installed succesfully, wifi networks r not available
More and more gingerbread roms
Wow

Hi ihlades,
Congratulations on your first ROM!!
Did you compile this rom from source?
Or did you modify various gingerbread roms available here?
If you compiled from the AOSP gingerbread branch, can you please give me the steps? I'm trying to compile, but failing badly.

congrats!!! looking good... can u please post the home & app drawer screenshot?
Best gingerrom on this Forum!! Thanks
Very nice Rom, coming from Adams oxygen Rom there are only a couple of things I'd like:
stop app via long press back
User agent selection in browser
Love the power control in status car though. Also no picture on lockscreen I like from a privacy point of view.
A couple of issues after the install, strangely fixed when restored system settings from oxygen via titanium backup. WiFi wasn't working and neither was normal data!
Can't wait for the video recording issue to be addressed!
Its very good rom, where are the apn, i cant conect to internet
Thanks for your rom
Im sorry my english

CodefireX 4.4.3.2.1.000.000 Open Master
CodefireX.com
This well established Android distribution treats development differently than any other to further our Android platform as a whole. This is the fastest source built ROM you will find on this forum, and also the only one to utilize our unique build system and a custom LLVM 3.5 suite based toolchain globally.
Here is our very well supported Issue Tracker.
We utilize a plethora of unique optimizations in a build system unlike any other:
Utilizing the LLVM CLANG CI globally, working heavily with upstreams with a goal of furthering our entire Android platform.
Consistently updated upstream toolchain module source with our custom backports, fixes, and optimizations applied in a patch at build time.
Fully built utilizing Link Time Optimization and Polly optimizations (another custom ROM first). Feel free to google these a bit.
Much of our source have code fixes, cleanups, and many minor optimizations to set us even further ahead of the community. These are too generous to even speak of here.
Optimizations are toggled on and off based on device for the best experience we can achieve for your device without sacrificing stability
Many Qcom optimizations and AOSP master (upstream) optimizations and fixes using device specifications to determine usage.
Fully built utilizing strict aliasing and isognu++11 mode.
Utilizing all O4 optimizations (Optimization Level 4) including LTO (with binutils plugins), and additionally LLVM Polly.
Of course we also have several neat UI features, including but not limited to:
T-Mobile Theme Engine.
DPI Wizard (no junk like build.prop tweaks).
Quick Settings panel customizations.
Live network stats in your statusbar.
Button backlight customizations.
Hardware button customizations.
Volume button customizations.
Many more being added during the nightly builds.

Having fun with codefire so far. Created a custom kernel off of codefire kernel sources and it's running well. Not too many features yet. But I will post it if people are interested.
There are a few feature requests I have. In cm you can normally add sound/vibrate/mute toggle to quick settings as well as flashlight... maybe these don't exist yet in the base? Also I don't see advanced reboot menu in dev options...

Under settings/buttons I only see options for the Home Button and Recents Button, not the Back Button... And there is no kill app on the other buttons at the moment.
EDIT:
But I did just notice the Power menu under the settings/buttons, which allows for advanced reboot, screenshot, etc, etc. Cool!
Edit2: now I'm looking for locksreen customizing... Can't seem to find it
SU?
Anyone have a working su zip to install? The one posted with the ROM seem to only install the SuperSU apk and not the su binary,
Nevermind, problem was custom kernel flashing prior to su install. FYI, updated su zip available from chainfire
How tightly is this synced with upstream cm? There are still a bunch of device related fixes I see coming down the pipe and id like to stay on top of them, but I really enjoy the idea that this was built with a performance centric toolchain.
I have a question, concerning the nightlies - it's just to be sure. For each device there is under "last changes" always "no changes since last build".. Is this reliable, cause if there are no changes, it does not make to much sense for me, to flash the same Rom again and again.
We'll I'm sure they sync with upstream cm every day

No its not acurate...Jenkins just hasn't been set up to display the changelogs(some thing for our leader to look into though). I maintain all 4 of our 8960 devices (ville, jewel,Evita, and fireball) and keep a good eye on CM and others for device specific changes that I can incorporate. May not be daily but I don't like to be behind
Today's builds should have fixes for most of the app related issues that have been reported thus far. Only exception is the FC that was reported with email app. That should be fixed in tomorrows builds.

Question... Do any of the codefire optimizations, etc, effect the launcher that comes with the ROM? I say that bc I wonder if I will loose something by using google experience launcher and flashing another gApps with that included.

Actually I use this Rom as my daily driver. It's very nice and smooth and I have no big problems. But there are some bugs:
- com.android.phone FC, when I try to open the APN settings.
- android.process.media FC, when I try to open the Downloads-app.
- dolphin browser sometimes FC
- ART does not work properly - many apps FC.
- Maybe more.
Apart from that, as I said, it's an amazing Rom. Keep up the good job.

Good luck on getting it official
Anyone found any bugs? I want to get rid of them for you guys by next build
I think people (including) me don't dare to install any non-sense ROM because of the overheating-and-phone-killing-issues that are apparently in the CM11 base on the mini (and every fork of it). Now, the error isn't in CM11, but I take from it that there are still reliability issues in getting a non-sense rom working to a point where it doesn't brick phones.
The issue is that on some phones CM11 runs fine for 5 months but then kills the phone, with others it's within two weeks.
And I don't blame anyone for some bricks that might have happened, but it does put me off from any non-sense (AOSP?) based rom, including this one. Are my fears justified?

Well that's up to the user if he wants a none sense ROM. I seen all the fuss about the issues etc even seen the Sense Fanboys loving that people are being scared off AOSP too. Tbh I don't see any problems with it my Rom been tested for awhile and is build from slim not CM with no issues at all... if people don't wanna try aosp then that's their loss....
Doesn't have to do with 'fanboys' or not, does it? I had some version of AOSP on most of my devices (also MIUI and such) and would like to try it on my M4, but seeing reports of dying phones on multiple AOSP versions make (even) me hesitant. Since it only happens on our device it's not in the AOSP base or CM11 base but in the device specific portion, like kernel, firmware binaries in the ROM and maybe configuration on some background daemons (thermald?)... was hoping you could take my doubt away .

Well I don't own this device anymore but the guy who tests builds doesn't have any issues with my ROM. This isn't my thread and I didn't build this ROM so you would have to take it up with the thread owner...
"On multiple aosp version" ???
Had no problems with any aosp rom on this device and I haven't ran sense for about a year now. No issues with pac,or slim and definitely none with candy which is my daily rom. Tbh I did have one issue with cm in the early days which I managed to recover from... But I put that down to my error... Flashing different kernels, installing performance mods/scripts etc and using different xposed modules.
Apologies for hijacking thread
Don't worry about the thread hijack lol...i wasn't paying attention..
I'm back from the hospital and i'm ready to build. t6vzw is brunching right now, and once it's done t6spr will start. after that, the m4 will get going and then my evita...so m4 users, expect your build to be ready by the end of tonight or so
slim m4 should be coming out today or tomorrow...the new server had a lot of build errors so i just fixed it for the evita
going to build for t6vzw, then t6spr, and then m4...

Welcome to VanirAOSP
Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android to as many devices as possible. This is not a kang rom. You will find versions of the features you love that we've rewritten and improved on plus a few we wrote ourselves. we've tried to acheive a more organized and cohesive setup to improve the user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality.
If you're the kind of person that needs options to change the font and color on every letter and expect the ROM to end up looking like kid's cereal box then GTFO. You will not find customizations that are done just because someone figured out how to do them. Everything in here has a purpose and is held to a high standard of coding.
General features:
Stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
Enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
Custom written CRON and init.d.
Minor UI and graphics improvements
Custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
Active notifications (improved active display + lockscreen notifications)
Usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
Animation control
Improved Vanir keyboard
CM's profiles & quicksettings
Additional quicksetting tiles
Immersive desktop <- fully configurable immersive mode
Low profile mode
Statusbar mods
Clock & battery mods
Lockscreen blur and other mods
Soon to come -> quick cam and flash notifications
Busybox, embedded root, init.d, cron etc
Many improvements and new features unique to vanir
Built using SaberMod toolchain
Compiled with graphite, LTO and strict-aliasing
Issues:
Light sensor
Random force closes occasionally

Happened to me at first, after setting everything up and rebooting a few times I no longer have any force closes. I'm recompiling the ROM which hopefully will be faster and less buggy

Thank you so much for this rom!
Had the same FC issues, but after a reboot and Play Store updates the rom has settled down nicely... working very very smoothly so far. And I just did a quick check and HDMI works fine, including audio.
Being really fussy, Chrome seems a bit laggy, but what the hell, I can put up with that for a great Lollipop experience on the Kindle!

Chrome is fast for me, try downloading the new webview app by google from the play store, you have to go on their google+ page and opt-in to the beta so that you can download it

My favorite ROM! Will you be able to maintain it? Seeing that you have built 3-5 ROMs but don't update them :?

Commotio B-105
Commotio VS Vanir:
Commotio is DHO's take on Vanir. Different UI, scripts, and often testing new features that may be merged into Vanir.
They are 100% compatible and users can pick their favorite. Commotio can be thought of as bleeding edge testing ground for new features and optimizations which may or may not make their way into Vanir

Follow on G+: Team Vanir
Commotio + Vanir Features:
- Multiple Devices
- Based on CM13 nightlies
Debloated
- All inclusive ~180 MB –> 60 MB of Bloat removed
- Fully featured LatinIME Keyboard, but only 2.2 MB (normally 16-20 MB), removed tracking/logging
- And soo much more
Butter
- Compiled with linaro keychain.
- Optimized with linaro 4.8
- GCC 4.8 w/ -O3 -fstrict-aliasing AKA highly optimized compiling for better results (like Linaro)
- Vanir.cfg – Set your CPU frequencies, colors, ZRAM, and much more. Set and once and forget; it stays on your SD card
- DHOtheory: Sets up the kernel/ROM the way I like it, then self destructs on first boot, so you can change it later
- Go-faster Axiom scripts
- Vanirice – makes everything just a bit smooth
- For every 1 user settings there are 5 power saving + performance tweaks tweaks
Gapps

Thread to be updated....
IMPORTANT
Currently SuperSU has issues, so kindly don't flash that and access root by enabling developer options by tapping multiple times on build number in about device and then enabling root access from there.
Thanks for this..will flash later....
Stupid question, but is it rooted? Can't get SuperSU working. Other than that, so far, so good.
Thanks for your work ?

Yeah its rooted. Just turn on the root from inside the developer options.
Vanir and commotio have been running well for flo for some time, but threadless since android L. Thanks for getting the ROM more exposure by creating a thread here.

Yeah thats why I made this thread. I found out about this ROM from someone's comment and its currently the smoothest marshmallow ROM for me and focuses on just performance and battery life and doesn't have a plethora of useless features that I Don't even use. And if you look at the nightlies page you'll see that they build for countless devices and are the first ones to update to newer aosp bases.

No. Its in cyanogen mod. Every cm release from cm12 to 13 has this and all ROMs based on CM have this option. I haven't flashed superuser since Cm12 on any of my devices. I just activate root from here on all of them.
New builds are up for Commotio.

Nice thread . Good thing about these two roms is you can dirty flash them over each other if you get anxious to look at something different for a few days .
New builds of Commotio synced with latest CM changes and Android 6.0.1_r30 are up.
There's going to be lots of commotion when N drops.....
New updated builds for both Commotio and Vanir at the usual mirrors.
Thanks htb...will give it a runout later.
Cheers.
Get your updates. This fixes all the power button and other bugs that had been present in the previous builds.

About
MoKee OpenSource is based on the Google AOSP. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, CyanogenMod, Slim AOSPA etc), we are doing all these in our free time as our passion…
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development (maintain new devices, contribute code etc). Newcomers are always welcomed!
Read here for developer application: http://www.mfunz.com/en/developer-application, you can host your unofficial MoKee builds on our server!
Features: (I will mention only that which does not take into CyanogenMod)
Listview animation
Interpolation anmação listview
Update over the air can download the download website only incremental, it helps lower faster update and upgrade more easily:
Some icons and own layouts
Manager for Google services, so no need to use a large gapps, you can only download necessary at MokeeCenter
Ringtones, Alarms, Notification, UI sounds are all different CyanogenMod, thus bringing a beautiful charm to rom
bootianimation own
information integrated into MokeeCenter
Settings to add speed data network
Settings for navigation bar
Settings for Statusbar
Intelligent control settings to configure the newer apps and others.

What is the difference?
RELEASE: Tested after integrating new features, more stable than NIGHTLY. (Odexed builds)
NIGHTLY: Built daily with newest code and experimental features, might contain undiscovered bugs. (Deodexded builds)
HISTORY: Final odexded builds once a newer Android version is out and being built.
EXPERIMENTAL: Released when a new device is added or when a new feature is added for public beta testing and feedback. (Deodexded builds)
UNOFFICIAL: Maintained separately by individual developers, usually involves modification of shared code which cannot be merged (affects other devices), therefore maintained by the developer himself.
Note: We always test the shared code for bugs, however sometimes we may not be able to detect device specific bugs. If you have such issues, it will be better to report to the device maintainer.
Changelog:
Here
Gapps recommended
http://opengapps.org/
Installation mode :
To install the clean rom:
Download the rom
enters recovery
make all wipes (all)
choose zip from rom and install
you can use a gapps any of its taste since it is for android 7.1.x
or you can go MokeeCenter after starting rom, there you can download the small gapps integrated into the system and have a lighter and clean rom.
To install upgrade:
Method 1:
just download the complete package via OTA
enter the recovery
only to wipe cache and dalvik (optional, I do not)
install the complete package downloaded via OTA
Method 2:
Download the complete package over the air and go on to install update
let install automatically for you
Method 3:
Download only incremental updates
for that you need to donate 30 CNY for the team to release the feature on the device directly
But you can do this update without donation
just go on the site and click below build itself where it is written (upgrade: OTA to MK ...)
there will be the incremental free for you, this will save on your data package or in your spare time.
Big Thanks @martincz for development

Great to see mokee come on 7.1 for this phone!!
Will try out this ROM on my falcon.
Thank you!
Definitely I will try it, I'm a huge fan of Mokee ROM. Thx for sharing!!!!
I see a lot lot of development and dedicated hard worker devs working on falcon, never saw such development on many popular/high end/ flagship phone.
seems, our falcon is a super set and I don't wanna switch to another phone.
take love from falcon.
Rom is smooth and awesome but, there are some bugs or feature missing.
1. battery icons in status bar not changing for landscape or circle.
2. need a setting to permanently place the network meter in status bar if you can.
3. recents screen doesn't show the amount of ram used.
4. rom uses more ram than marshmallow(just my observation) even without installing any apps.
5. a little lag sometimes.
6. a way to change the theme??

For the sake of development, I appreciate your report ... But ram is something that you can not question yet since more features can be used.
On topics will have to wait a little longer for cyanogenmod sources.
The same in the battery icons issue.
Regards, EsromG5.

I just told my observation. You know when more ram used by system means, we cant use many apps simultaneously. Just my worry. Whatever, our device is three years older, so nevermind. On other topics, will wait for cyanogen bug fixes.:good:

How to download mokee gapps from mokee centre?
Good ROM
Very Good ROM, but a swap of 255 MB is no longer enough for Falcon running Android 7, and even with android 6 you could notice the lack of memory to run applications like Facebook etc. I would like them to increase the size of the Swap.
Hi guys, I can't install Mokee on my xt1032. I get error 6. I don't know why. I have twrp 3.2.1-0 how can I fix it?
