Welcome to VanirAOSP
Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android to as many devices as possible. This is not a kang rom. You will find versions of the features you love that we've rewritten and improved on plus a few we wrote ourselves. we've tried to acheive a more organized and cohesive setup to improve the user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality.
If you're the kind of person that needs options to change the font and color on every letter and expect the ROM to end up looking like kid's cereal box then GTFO. You will not find customizations that are done just because someone figured out how to do them. Everything in here has a purpose and is held to a high standard of coding.
General features:
Stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
Enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
Custom written CRON and init.d.
Minor UI and graphics improvements
Custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
Active notifications (improved active display + lockscreen notifications)
Usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
Animation control
Improved Vanir keyboard
CM's profiles & quicksettings
Additional quicksetting tiles
Immersive desktop <- fully configurable immersive mode
Low profile mode
Statusbar mods
Clock & battery mods
Lockscreen blur and other mods
Soon to come -> quick cam and flash notifications
Busybox, embedded root, init.d, cron etc
Many improvements and new features unique to vanir
Built using SaberMod toolchain
Compiled with graphite, LTO and strict-aliasing
Issues:
Light sensor
Random force closes occasionally

Could you please provide instructions on the best way to flash? I tried
-full wipe
-rom
-su
-gapps
--your kernel
And a slight variation of that with a wipe dalvik before flashing kernel, but a lot things are glitchy. Keep getting message "unfortunately stopped working" for browser and just now opening email attachment. But this is what i wanted i think. Lighter lollipop rom.
Thanks

Happened to me at first, after setting everything up and rebooting a few times I no longer have any force closes. I'm recompiling the ROM which hopefully will be faster and less buggy

Thank you so much for this rom!
Had the same FC issues, but after a reboot and Play Store updates the rom has settled down nicely... working very very smoothly so far. And I just did a quick check and HDMI works fine, including audio.
Being really fussy, Chrome seems a bit laggy, but what the hell, I can put up with that for a great Lollipop experience on the Kindle!

My favorite ROM! Will you be able to maintain it? Seeing that you have built 3-5 ROMs but don't update them :?

Hi, The ROM is quiet smooth, but...
- The Youtube videos have green tint - looks like GPU problems
- Am I doing something wrong or there are no customizations to this ROM at all. I can not find any UI settings?

Will see about youtube glitches, and no you're not doing anything wrong,
this is paranoid ROM, it doesn't have any customizations section, all you have in it more than CM11 is the
PA Peek, plain control panel, and some other minor thing (you can watch the videos above),
if you want a customizable ROM, try Resurrection Remix, Carbon, AOKP, SlimKat
Thanks again for the hard work, omarainea! Much appreciated!
I installed PA and it runs flawlessly so far! Just one thing I can't seem to find is where to enable Hover?
EDIT: Btw, I have the green YouTube bug, too. But since I barely watch YouTube videos on my smartphone, that's no biggie.

Oddly enough, the hover button isn't present in my notification bar. I thought maybe I missed something in the Settings, but I can't find any for Hover.
4.4 BETA1 is out, including CM Theme Engine and a stable Hover version: https://plus.google.com/+ParanoidAndroidCorner/posts/GqHdB661aEr
Can't wait to get the update for my Z1C. Thanks in advance, omarainea!
Android Paranoid 4.4 BETA1 is ready!
Changelog:
Included Youtube glitches bug probable fix provided by @SuperHanss (I have tested youtube in browser, there wasn't any glitches).
Included all Paranoid Android 4.4 BETA1 build changes.
I'll see about Hover and other missing features in next builds probably.
you can find downloads in the link provided in OP.
Will reroot my phone and try this!

Yes but only if they are prepared to work on AOSP based ROM like these here
Have been using ParanoidAndroid on Nexus 4, but guess what, bottom screen cracked few days ago, so tomorrow i am receiving Z1C and would like to know is it stable enough for daily use?
Thanks!
I think it is pretty stable,it's still a beta

Amazing work on the ROM. Thank you!
Just flashed it last evening having had my phone for a few weeks.
One small glitch, not sure if it's been mentioned, but listening to TuneIn (paid version) radio this morning on the way into work, I found it stopped playing the stream I was listening to whenever a notification came in, email, twitter etc. It seems as though playing the notification sound interrupts TuneIn.
Thanks
4.4.3 has been merged on git
Hoover is abscent also in new build hope you can find it ,for the rest great job!
4.4 RC1 is released, but I'm sure you're aware

Thanks for the ROM. Letting the battery settle a bit before I comment on that, but I love solid, basic ROM's, and this is one of them. Also, making disabling the navbar that easy is just... icing on cake! Looking forward to updates.

About
From the G+ page:: Welcome to Euphoria-OS where you will be in a state of intense excitement and happiness with your device!
My build: This is little side project that might grow into something bigger if time permits. EOS is successor of famous Mahdi ROM. I always wanted to try it, but nobody would do it while we were on KitKat. So here it is, built completely from AOSP sources, using CM device tree.

They are 100% compatible and users can pick their favorite. Commotio can be thought of as bleeding edge testing ground for new features and optimizations which may or may not make their way into Vanir

Thread to be updated....
IMPORTANT
Currently SuperSU has issues, so kindly don't flash that and access root by enabling developer options by tapping multiple times on build number in about device and then enabling root access from there.
Thanks for this..will flash later....
Stupid question, but is it rooted? Can't get SuperSU working. Other than that, so far, so good.
Thanks for your work ?

Yeah its rooted. Just turn on the root from inside the developer options.
Vanir and commotio have been running well for flo for some time, but threadless since android L. Thanks for getting the ROM more exposure by creating a thread here.

Yeah thats why I made this thread. I found out about this ROM from someone's comment and its currently the smoothest marshmallow ROM for me and focuses on just performance and battery life and doesn't have a plethora of useless features that I Don't even use. And if you look at the nightlies page you'll see that they build for countless devices and are the first ones to update to newer aosp bases.

All that you've stated about vanir is true. Nuke and DHO are still killing it.

No. Its in cyanogen mod. Every cm release from cm12 to 13 has this and all ROMs based on CM have this option. I haven't flashed superuser since Cm12 on any of my devices. I just activate root from here on all of them.
New builds are up for Commotio.

Nice thread . Good thing about these two roms is you can dirty flash them over each other if you get anxious to look at something different for a few days .
New builds of Commotio synced with latest CM changes and Android 6.0.1_r30 are up.
There's going to be lots of commotion when N drops.....
New updated builds for both Commotio and Vanir at the usual mirrors.
Thanks htb...will give it a runout later.
Cheers.

How about mic volumes? (Mic volume when recording a video or the call volume of the other person) This seems to be a recurring problem with some other Mi4i MM roms

Did you first Flash MIUI6.6.10 ? If no, please first Flash the said version and then try installing again. I did the same and it worked like a charm.

I'm from Mokee...
Not necessary to flash that ROM, right? As I'm not on MIUI 7 or above anymore.
Also, I'm currently running on AOSP-OMS, and it's boot perfectly.

It's necessary bro. Always try to do clean flash and clean flash always require miui6.6.10 or short sized file firmware lp6.6.10.
Here is the link:

if u want.
BTW it boots very smoothly.

It's not extraordinary but ok since it has tons of features(like RR rom). But the performance is very good though.

Hmm... Weird...
Usually it only needed if I flash custom ROM from MIUI...
Well, I'll try that... But maybe after I try Pac Man...

It goes for around 16-18hrs may be.(Power user)
Alright. I'll give this a try. Exciting.
Well. Amazing.
Smooth, seemingly bug free.
Only thing: Heating issue, different from PacMan ROM which was nice and cool.
No dirty flash, I did a complete clean install.
Thanks nihaar, for developing!this great rom..over all i don't see bug! excellent and good job bro!
