Can you chose the default email account to send calendar invites and if I accept an invite? In 6.5 I could go to calendar options and select the drfault account.

not working for me
someone who has an idea how to get multiple calendars from a exchange account ?
bumper the bump
As it is now when I accept they all go through Hotmail instead of the account they came from. I can accept them and not send an email stating I accepted but for business I really need to send one.

Hey all,
I'm pretty satisfied with my Touch Pro and there is a small point Maybe someone here knows the answer...
I use activesync on the phone and Windows Mobile Device Center on my desktop, to sync everything except e-mail because I have a full email bundle with my telco so I poll mail on my phone as well as on my desktop, leaving email on the server. That way I'm always aware of email I receive.
Now, when I put an appointment in my calendar on my phone and I invite someone to that appointment, it wants to send that person an email. The problem is that it tries to do that via the Outlook E-Mail account which I don't have and the messages just stay in the Outlook E-Mail outbox forever.
I can't find any setting on my phone, to change the default account used to send these emails.
Does anyone here know how to get this working the way I want?
Grtz,
Patrick
Go to calendar -> tools -> options
Go to the appointments tab and select your desired account under 'Send meeting requests via'
Thanks, it turns out to be a very simply solution

Hi,
I am using Pocket Outlook, which I have synchronising with my Exchange server, on Windows Mobile 6.1 Prof (Touch HD).
I need to be able to send email from two different email addresses (i.e. change the "FROM" field). I can't see a way to do this in Pocket Outlook. Would be grateful if someone could tell me how; I can't imagine such a straightforward feature has been omitted? I can do this fine within normal Outlook, connected to the same Exchange account.
Ideally, it would automatically select the correct address when I am replying to a message so that it matches the address to which the originally message was sent. Is this possible?
Thanks,
Richard.
Hi RIchard,
You can indees send from any account you wish. On you message tab on touchflo, select the account you want to send from, then just press the new message tab next to the envelope. Or go into inbox from any account, selct the account you want to send from, then menu and new message
btw, the touch hd is so tasty!! yh?

I dont get what your problem is? I have my main email via Exchange and 2 addtional pop 3 mail accounts. On the home message tab it shows 3 envelopes on the right hand side of the screen, one for each account. If i want to send an email from a pop3 account, i just press the envelope and it will send an email from that account?!?
You cannot sync email via active sync if you have an exchange mail set up, but that is your only limitation, as far as i know....

Hi,
I think that the problem is as follows (well at least I have this problem )
I use google sync to give me push mail and forward my company email to google (to get it pushed).
If I reply to this email on my PPC (from the outlook mail account) then the recipient will see the reply coming from the google address rather than my company address.
So, I need to reply to the mail on PPC using my Outlook account to get the original subject and the original mail and then change the "from" field on the email to send from my company account (also setup on the phone).
Even a registry hack would do; to always send from the company account when in the Outlook exchange account.
I've done a lot of searching and found no solution to this.
In need of help !
Hi,
I'm using an WM6.1 Sprint HTC Snap right now. I'm using my gmail account as an exchange server and that is my primary email account for both receiving and sending emails. I also use my hotmail account very occasionally so I just recently set that up too.
My problem is that after I added the hotmail account, any time I try to send an email it automatically defaults to the hotmail account to send from, and also when I open up my inbox it always shows the hotmail account first.
Is there any way to make it default to sending through the outlook exchange (gmail) account and default to that inbox first? This is really annoying me and I might as well just remove the hotmail account if this is not changeable.
I use the default GMAIL app for my email. I have three email accounts, all linked to each other. When I receive an email sent to my personal account "PERSONAL", I want to reply from a secondary account "SECONDARY" or from my business account "BUSINESS". When I open the email and select reply, the FROM gmail account is fixed. There is no drop down shown so I can change the FROM address.
Question: How can I reply to the email with one of my other email linked accounts?
Thank you for your time
Bob
Default GMAIL app? Is that the one from the ROM, or the google GMail app from playstore?
This one works just like it should: GMail
btw: This doesn't seem like a specific s7 question...

If an email is sent to your personal account, you can't reply to it from a different account. You would need to first forward the email to your Secondary account, and then reply to it.
Hi I have a friend that has converted from an iPhone to a S8
they are liking the new experience that Android is giving, but one thing they are missing the functionality of the iOS mail APP,
where you can have multiple email accounts (Exchange,Gapps,Gmail) and you could send an email from any one of the accounts and all the associated contacts where in 1 global address book.
ie. so they could send an email from the Exchange account and when typing the email address they were able to select a email contact from the Gapps email account,
i know the stock Samsung Email app has this functionality but it dosent list all emails for an exchange account, which is an issue.
is there an email app on the playstore that has this functionality?
thanks
