Hey all,
I'm pretty satisfied with my Touch Pro and there is a small point Maybe someone here knows the answer...
I use activesync on the phone and Windows Mobile Device Center on my desktop, to sync everything except e-mail because I have a full email bundle with my telco so I poll mail on my phone as well as on my desktop, leaving email on the server. That way I'm always aware of email I receive.
Now, when I put an appointment in my calendar on my phone and I invite someone to that appointment, it wants to send that person an email. The problem is that it tries to do that via the Outlook E-Mail account which I don't have and the messages just stay in the Outlook E-Mail outbox forever.
I can't find any setting on my phone, to change the default account used to send these emails.
Does anyone here know how to get this working the way I want?
Grtz,
Patrick
Go to calendar -> tools -> options
Go to the appointments tab and select your desired account under 'Send meeting requests via'
Thanks, it turns out to be a very simply solution

I have Qtek9000 with the latest JW ROM. I use the Outlook Mobile exchange PushMail. It works well, but I am wondering if there is any better PushMail client that I can use instead of Outlook? Now, I cannot receive Today notification if I recieve an e-mail which is filtered by Ruls to another than Inbox folder... I cannot open several e-mails simulteniously, there is no way to ask Read/Delivery confirmation, no way to change the current view of the Inbox and other e-mail forlder, .. the Sent items are sorted by "From" (i.e. my e-mail), not "to".. etc.
hhmm.. I am still trying to find any Push Mail client, but no success.... any ideas?

I will try it.. but as i read, it use activesync acount (there is no way to set up separate exchange server)... and in order to use it, I must keep both - default outlook mail and Flexmail, which is not so good).
If it is possible JW to make some changes in the Outlook Mail in order to be able to sort the e-mails by "TO" (there is only an option to sort them by "FROM"). I need it when looking at "Sent" items
I just mentioned this article: http://blogs.msdn.com/outlook_mobile/archive/2007/03/13/wm6-messaging.aspx and found the Outlook in JW ROM is a littje bit diferrent from the shown pictures! On my device I cannot find the menu for Exchange server searching... If the Outlook in JW ROM is the latest WM Outlook version?
Exchange Sync - strange problem!
Hi, I use PushMail on my PPC (Qyek9000, WM6) to sync with our company
Exchange Server 2003SP2. It worked fine till 01st May 2007, when I suddently
stopped recieving any e-mails/contacts/tasks from Exchange server to my PPC!
It is still connected, it found and synchronizes the Folder list (only), it
count the number of e-mails inside the inbox, but DOES NOT retrieve ANY
e-mails/contacts. It just shows me "0 items". At the same time, I can send
e-mails and if I change something on my PPC (ex.new Task/contact) it
synchronized on the Server and I can see it on my desktop Outlook.... The IT
guys checked the server, but nothing found! I have deleted and reinstalled my
PPC exchange mail settings, but the same problem. Please any idea how to
solve it. Thanks!
You can actually set your pushmail exchange email account to sync outside of your inbox:
On your device:
Goto Messaging
Outlook Email
Menu
Tools
Manage Folders
You'll see a folder browser.
Inbox is default synced
You can now enable more folders for synchronization (for example your sent items)
This way you can sync your inbox and a couple of your selection of folders for specific people

I can and I did it! But the problem is that I still not recieve any e-mails on my PPC. In fact, it synchronize one-way - from PPC-to Exchange server, but not vice versa! I can see the folder list, but it does not "send/push" amy e-mails... Last week it worked normally!
The IT guy
Mine is working great (I am the IT guy), Make sure that you have the correct certificate on your PDA, or ask you IT guy to give you the certificate and reinstall it.
Then make sure to try your account with and without SSL.
Good luck, let me know…

The certificate is fine but the problem stil. I tried another PPC - Nokia, with Symbian, but the same problem. The result is that I can synchronize ONEWAY only - from PPC to Exchange, but not vise versa (from Exchnage to PPC). The IT department guys cannot find any reason and do not know what to do. I suggest tham to restrat/reset the exchange server... but still waiting
Problem Solved
The problem is solved! The reason for the problem was the Exchange Server's antivirus software (McAfee). We had to switch the mail scanning from "on demant" to "background scanning". Now it works
Sound complicated.
I am using live.mail2web.com and receiving mail at Outlook and is ok. Just need to set the exchange address, thats all.

Hi,
I am using Pocket Outlook, which I have synchronising with my Exchange server, on Windows Mobile 6.1 Prof (Touch HD).
I need to be able to send email from two different email addresses (i.e. change the "FROM" field). I can't see a way to do this in Pocket Outlook. Would be grateful if someone could tell me how; I can't imagine such a straightforward feature has been omitted? I can do this fine within normal Outlook, connected to the same Exchange account.
Ideally, it would automatically select the correct address when I am replying to a message so that it matches the address to which the originally message was sent. Is this possible?
Thanks,
Richard.

You can indees send from any account you wish. On you message tab on touchflo, select the account you want to send from, then just press the new message tab next to the envelope. Or go into inbox from any account, selct the account you want to send from, then menu and new message

I dont get what your problem is? I have my main email via Exchange and 2 addtional pop 3 mail accounts. On the home message tab it shows 3 envelopes on the right hand side of the screen, one for each account. If i want to send an email from a pop3 account, i just press the envelope and it will send an email from that account?!?
You cannot sync email via active sync if you have an exchange mail set up, but that is your only limitation, as far as i know....

Hi,
I think that the problem is as follows (well at least I have this problem )
I use google sync to give me push mail and forward my company email to google (to get it pushed).
If I reply to this email on my PPC (from the outlook mail account) then the recipient will see the reply coming from the google address rather than my company address.
So, I need to reply to the mail on PPC using my Outlook account to get the original subject and the original mail and then change the "from" field on the email to send from my company account (also setup on the phone).
Even a registry hack would do; to always send from the company account when in the Outlook exchange account.
I've done a lot of searching and found no solution to this.
In need of help !
Guys,
Is anyone experiencing problems with the automatic retrieval of email messages.
I have my HD2 set up the same as my Touch HD but unlike the Touch HD the HD2 does not forward emails unless I first hit Send/Receive.
Can't for the heck of it figure out what I'm doing wrong!
what kind of email provider are you using? i'm using hotmail, wich doesn't even has a pop or imap feature, but in email inbox, go to (right soft key) menu>extra>options and tap on your email provider in the list and go to sync schedule and set the sync frequency to: as items arrive. At least, this option I use for hotmail. It is a windows live feature btw.
I use seven from www.seven.com for my work email and my gmail account. works fine...

Guys, It's not the provider that is the problem..... That's why I mentioned both my Touch HD (which works perfectly) & my HD2 both share the same settings.
As to the settings you mention hyellow; I'm happy in how to set up sync schedule and frequency (again, I don't have any problems with the Touch HD).
It's frustrating, especially seeing as I don't consider myself a novice.
Sorted..... and it was down to something stupid I had missed.
I had the box ticked under "This netwok connects to a Proxy server".
Once I had unticked it I now receive my email messages automatically without any intervention.
A small item easily missed.
This was a 'biggy' for me.
I needed auto email retrieval set to the 5minute minimum so that if fellow surgeons needed to send me patient details I was warned in advance.
Thanks again to hyellow & zsilak who gave their time in helping.:

I don't know of any software that will allow you to turn off email notification on a set period of time.
Why not just set your phone to 'Plane' mode. That's what I do if I'm not on call and don't want to be disturbed by email..... Other than that just turn off the volume.
this is possible on symbian and on windes mobile with exchange....
Hi All,
I have an Advantage X 7510 that I bought in Ireland and I was trying to
set up a new email account to my work's Microsoft Exchange Email
account. The manual has set up instructions for this but when I follow
them there is no Msoft Exchange option in the menu as the manual says
should be there? I am running Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro
Please help.
Thankx.
Fatboy
Go to message =>set-up e-mail account => Type e-mail adress=> do not search the internet and press next. =>Choose your provider:exchange server a few steps further you will find the sync options, such as calender, contacts etc.
Hi aevries
I have tried that several times but when I do there is no choice for exchange server only pop or imap?

You set up MS-Exchange through ActiveSync. Launch ActiveSync on the device. Click on the menu and you can set the Server Source, schedule (how often it should check for mails), etc. Once you do this, you will see that "Outlook mail" in your Messaging shows your MS-Exchange email.
Hi guys. Really need some help here. I have been using this forum for a while now and have found some amazing information that has really helped, but I cannot seem to sort this problem out. I have had this problem for about one and a half years and just learnt to live with it. I have asked on microsoft forums and no one can really help. I think it is the way I am trying to explain it or something I am doing wrong in the setup of outlook.
On my computer I have Office Outlook 2007 with a hotmail and tiscali email accounts within Outlook. On my phone (Xperia X1. Have tried Win Mob 6.1, 6.5) I had a Tiscali and hotmail account which I could send/receive from. After using active sync there is now an "outlook" folder on my phone. Every time I sync it moves my emails from tiscali to outlook on my phone (i supose because they are in my tiscali folder in outlook on my PC). The problem I have is that I cannot send/receive from the outlook folder on my phone. So If I want to reply to a message that is on my phone I have to copy and paste it back into a tiscali mail.
The outlook "folder" on my phone is an account.... i think?.... as it comes up in the account list along with tiscali, sms/ mms, hotmail and new account.
If I go into the tiscali one, i hit "menu" down the bottom and then I can hit "send/receive". This is all fine.
If I go into my outlook one i hit "menu" and "send/receive" is greyed out.
If I go "tools", "options" and select the outlook account the only screen I get is "e mail sync options" where I can select a few item regarding downloading from my laptop when I sync.
If I do the same in the tiscali account I can edit account setup, send and receive schedule etc.
???? I am lost!!
Thanks, Tristan
