HTC Android unlock soon free... - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Daniel Henzulea, aka Zulea, said today on gsm forum :
In first days of January 2011 will be an easy EXE application (just ONE button) who will automatically generate Goldcard and will automatically write this to any attached microSD/SD via USB card reader/writter (One Click Goldcard cration in just seconds).
Also, my FREE application will allow to FULL FACTORY UNLOCK (CID, SP LOCK, USER LOCK)
any HTC Android based phone Of course, the solution will work on any device ("S-ON" and "S-OFF", doesn't matter), and after unlocking you will have SIMLOCK removed, SuperCID (11111111) and the device "S-OFF".

We are waiting....sir.

The result still is not present?

New version Sp5?

I was trying to flash my sp5 which i just bought and I am using Kar Hoe's guide. I got to step 3 when I had an error. When trying to application unlock the phone, once i pressed remove lock a prompt saying phone is not unlockable appeared. Therefore i figured it was already application unlocked but yet when i tries to install the spv files from step4 it said i needed permission so i am wondering if the tool is obsolete for my phone because of some new firmware maybe. In any case please help as i cant wait to use WM6.

Are there any alternative application to SuperCID unlock? Besides from SPV-Developers

SPV-Developers' SuperCID unlock is not working anymore. I have a perfect connection and ActiveSync is connected to the internet, everything! My whole computer is connected to the internet, but the application can't seem to attempt to the spv-developers site.
There is one application from karhoe, but it's not working on my Tornado device! Some of my friends says that it's a tool for PPC only.
Here:
* If you cannot use SPV-Developers SuperCID tools, download this tool (http://karhoe.net/myfiles/lokiwiz02_173.zip) and use the alternative method. Then do the following.
- Keep your Tornado connected to ActiveSync.
- Extract it with WinRAR etc.
- Open the Lokiwiz.exe
- When you opend the Lokiwiz.exe you will get a black DOS screen with 4 options:
U. Unlock
L. Lock
C. Cid Unlock (SuperCID)
Q. Quit
Press C and then Enter. A few seconds later your phone is SuperCID...!!!
It doesn't seem to work on my Tornado device.
Hey check my post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2456333#post2456333
Hope you reach SuperCID your phone!!
See ya from Mexico
You need to run SDA_ApplicationUnlock first.
Is there a way to see if my device had been CID unlocked??

First choice for branded devices is the original ROM, so you are lucky to get it and it should work. The Vodafone V1415 is device where no official ROMs are available and there you have to use the "Gold Card" method (search for this in the Forum and Wiki). This will put a special key in the boot sector of a (non SDHC) card (devicetype and card-serial dependent) which allows you to load ANY ROM from the bootloader.

if u get it to work then tell me how u did that... i really want to know!!!
i got fed up when that happened to me.
when the htc logo continues, it means u phone is hanged. and even the time clock of the cpu stops. after 5-10 minutes u can also see the htc logo flickering a bit!!!
if u have the same problem then u will have to give your phone to the service center.

simple
you load bootloader (via camera button method)
next you start flasher from your PC and upload ROM
trick is to find the right ROM because when your phone is locked you can use only dedicated one which is compatible with your operator
otherwise there is a magic described above
once again EOT

i tried the method u stated. i always prefer this one over any other. but it did'nt work for me. now its the headache of service centre guys since it is still in warranty!!!
Did you lookup the Gold Card method? This WILL work - as this is exactly what the service will do. I am sure this is not a warranty case, but you maybe lucky.

yeah, i too think was not a warranty case but i gave a try and yes, i got lucky since this was the 6th time i gave my phone for a warranty claim.
OK, tired of trying new ROMs now? To be in the safe side you need to understand how things work:
1.) SIM-Lock (your phone is locked to a network/SIM Card) will stay even after ROM change. There are services to Unlock your phone and allow any SIM card. This has nothing to do with "Application Unlock".
2.) Application Un-Lock is the method to allow any program to run on your device. This is achieved by changing security settings in the registry of the WM operating system. Only privileged applications may do this - mostly "SDA Application Unlock" can do the job.
3.) Some devices are "branded" and the device carries a "Vendor ID" so that only ROMs can be put on the device where the ROM "Vendor ID" matches that of the device. Examples are: Orange E650, Vodafone VDA-V or V1415. This has nothing to do with SIM-Lock, even though many branded devices are SIM-locked as well (not VDA-V which I have one). The check for the Vendor-ID can be skipped either using a universal loader "USPL" (which is usually part of the cooked ROM distributions and called from a batchfile) or the "GoldCard method" which is your last resort and will ALWAYS work.
BTW: GoldCard is the slang for a special prepared microSD or miniSD card, not a SIM card! And it is NOT the process of loading a ROM from these cards - which is an alternate method of loading a ROM, e.g. if the Windows/USB is not an option.

does gold card method works with 4gb micro sdhc?
No it will not work with a SDHC card. The device in boot-loader moder seems not to be able to access the SDHC card. A normal (up to 2GB) card will work however - any size will do it as only the bootsector will get some bytes written to. The card remains usable - you can even take a card with data on it - writing the data to it to make it a "GoldCard" will not harm the data stored on it.
Mind that the key written is specific for a certain device-type, e.g. the Vox. It will work in any Vox then, however.

Dead SPV ( alias HTC VOX )

Dear All,
After two years of loyal services my spv e 650 , alias HTC Vox quit working . It is not booting at all , although It is starting in boot loader mode. My problem is that it is a branded orange romania phone , and I'm not able to find an original Rom version, neither to burn an unbranded version , because of the 1.22 USPL , which I'm not able to downgrade because the phone doesn't start in normal mode , in order to have an active sync connection for the USPL up(down)grade. To resume : phone is branded , doesn' t start in normal mode , but does start in boot loader ( version of SPL 1.22.0000 ). Is there any way to burn an unofficial Rom version ? Thank you in advance for any advices ,
Liciniu
Look up the "Gold Card" method in the Wiki. You need a non-SDHC memory card of any size and the free programs mentioned. It will write a special key to the boot sector of the memory card that will allow to load any ROM to the device in bootloader mode.
Hi Tobbbie,
After several tries ( I don't know what went wrong ) I've managed to do it. although it worked with only one version of ROM , HTC made, but I do have a fully functional phone . Many, many thanks for your hint,
Liciniu
Good to read that - I also have to revise my statement about which ROMs are loaded with the Gold Card method. Only valid signed ROMs (either HTC or other branded ones) will load - cooked ROMs are not loaded with the Gold Card method as they are not valid signed.

[Q] bootmanager problem HTC HD7

I have a problem on my HTC HD7. I tried to flash the Rom and the process didn't go well.. Now on the bootmanager (colored screen) is not written serial or usb in the bottom and my PC doesn't recognise it in this mode, but zune recognise it when it's Turned on. How can I solve that problem?
P.S. I had another problem, my device rebooted automatically sometimes.. And it show me a message "Storage card did non work"
Thank you
Franci4396
Were you trying to flash a custom ROM? There's a very clear warning on the RSPL program not to use it on bootloader (SPL) versions 4 or greater. It sounds like you had version 4, based ont eh error you report...
The best way that I know of to fix the problem is GoldCard, though installing an official update CAB that includes a new bootloader (basically, any HTC firmware CAB for your phone) has been reported to work too.
The "storage card" error sounds like there's a problem with the internal microSD that the HD7 uses to store data. They come loose sometimes. You can replace that card, but getting to it without voiding your phone's warranty is difficult. If you're already out of warranty, though, it's not too hard if you have a set of small screwdrivers.
Can you give me a goldcard cab site??
For either GoldCard or a suitable update CAB (they are *not* the same thing), search the dev&hacking sub-forum. You'll need an OEM CAB that is for your phone and newer than your current firmware, if you want to go that route. Note, however, that it will lock your bootloader down even more. You can't flash right now anyhow, so unless you just want to flash a stock ROM I wouldn't bother fixing the bootloader that way.
