Does anyone remember this application from WM...!?!?
...Transliterate Cyrillic (Russian, Ukranian, ...), Greek, Hebrew contacts' names on-the-fly when synchronizing with your car Bluetooth Hands-free (BMW, Audi, and some Pioneer BT-enabled car radios)..
(server doesn't allow me to post a link...)
It was very handy... !

Programmaticaly change T9 language?

Hi!
I need for my app the function of changing the T9 language WM uses, for example between Norwegian and Swedish, if those are the languages installed.
Can't seem to find anything valuable on google or at msdn, does anybody know of a registry key, API or similar that might be helpful?

Does Android 2.2 support international character sets?

I am told that Android 2.2 (Froyo) supports international character sets, and can display Hebrew, Arabic, Esperanto, etc. correctly.
Could someone please confirm this for me?
Just point your browser at a Hebrew or Arabic newspaper (ynet.co.il, for example) and tell me whether or not you only see square boxes.
If possible, I would also appreciate a screen shot, so that I can see whether it handles right-to-left text correctly.

[Q] T9 suggestions not working on Android keyboard

Hello,
I got a new LG Optimus One (P500), where i can switch between two keyboards. The default input method is LG keyboard where everything works fine, including word suggestions in English and Czech (my locale).
However, the android keyboard fits me better, but the word suggestions won't work. The only thing that shows up are suggestions from contacts, such as first names, but nothing from the English or Czech dictionary.
In the settings, I got suggestions checked, input languages are set to English and czech.
Any idea on how to fix this, please?
thanks

[Q] Xperia J CM10 non-english voice actions not working

Hi all,
My Xperia J has CM10 installed in English, and voice recognition set to Italian.
Whenever I try to issue voice commands, I only get web searches instead.
Examples:
"Chiama Carlo" ("Call Carlo")
"Guidami a Piazza del Campo 1 Siena" ("Drive me to...")
all of these, after having correctly identified the words I spoke, go straight to web searches when I issue the commands in Italian. If I switch the voice recognition settings to the default English, and issue the same commands in English, they get recognized as commands and I can successfully call Carlo / get driving directions to Siena.
I looked everywhere but couldn't find any other issues similar to mine, so I created issue 1865 on freeXperia's issue tracker (forgive me but I cannot link to external sites yet )
Another test I'm thinking about doing is setting the global system language to Italian and see if voice actions in Italian work.
Can anyone else whose system language is set to something different than their voice recognition language confirm or deny this issue?
Thanks!
also: first post!
update: when setting system language to Italian and voice language to Italian, voice actions work halfway: they identify the "call" action but are not able to identify contacts bein called.
For example, if I have a contact named "Mario Rossi" and I issue voice command "chiama mario rossi" (i.e. the Italian equivalent of "call ..."), the system will issue a call to the nearest business whose name matches "mario rossi", but will not call my contact.
