This is a child project of APK Edit.
Born on a cold night, when his inventor realized that some of the generated dna he used in APK Edit could be isolated and function on its own.
Tada!!!! File To Barcode is born!!!
Try it out now!

Pretty cool stuff! How much other stuff do you recon can be stored in a barcode?
Could you encode a small image in one? or a few lines of text?

Well....
Using my program you don't have any limits on filesize you wanna transfer.
This is because the barcode is actually a link to the file on you computer, not the whole file itself (hope I didn't cause more confusion now...)
The barcode itself is limited to about 250 characters.
To play around yourself try: http://qrcode.kaywa.com/

Okie dokie. Yip, that's what i wondered - the amount of characters. I understand that it's a link. Anyway - it's very cool. Thanks
Josh.
Errr.... I take it that you need to have your phone connected to your pc using the usb cable? Does adb also have to be running?

Nope, only need to activate your wifi connection.
No cables needed
Unfortunately, can't get it to work. The barcode shows but when I scan it I basicly get a 404 error on my phone, even though both my phone and my computer are connected to the same wifi network. Samba filesharing seems to work, so it must be something with the link
link..
In my phone i get a 404 error. If i change the URL to my PC ip address instead of the name of the PC, it works fine..
Could you have an option to have the link with the PC IP address instead of name?

Yes please can you add An IP option as some networks or routers do not work off of name. If you on a network at work. IP will be great !!! if you add IP then we can even forward are home routers to link the file outside are network.
Man! You're CRAZY!!! You have done httpd file serving in this app?
Ok, it's genial idea but... (always butts ;P) - this app generates url like this:
http://windows_host_name/filename
which is BAD because when someone has different windows name from real FQDN or dhcp name, it won't work.
So, basically it should try to resolve rev-dns for the external interface(s)... (and if multiple, should ask which one is correct).
And hey! It's really GREAT idea for a program REALLY!
Really bad this is dead thread

New app just popped up, 'Awesome Drop'. You just open the app on your phone, then go to http://labs.dashwire.com/drop and put the access code from the page onto your phone and drop files right into your browser and they get transfered to your phone. No account, just simple file transfer wherever you are.

neat, thanks
useful if you don't have the usb cable with you
This can be used to send files I have to my friends with Android phones. Awesome. Thanks for sharing.
This is great, just hope the site is able to stay up from the strain of a lot of concurrent file transfers.
Yeah I've had this for a little while, it's handy for transferring small files, but I noticed it tends to choke/hang on files over 100 megs.
How?

it's a one way app, use 'websharing' or something like that if you want 2-way
Actually quite awesome.
I wish the reverse was possible though.
A tab that you could open and then drop files from a built in file exp. into the drop box.
Well, the only thing that stops me of using this "Awsome Drop" is the lack of Opera.
But that might be the lack of HTML5 support from Opera, rather then the app. and website creators fault thou..Even thou Opera 10.60 was a "giant step" towords "full" HTML 5
heres a video that i did on the application to give users visual on how easy this really is:
Hi agian!
I couldnt wait on Opera Software or the app website too like each other so I downloaded a firefox.paf.exe too the computer I was using yesterday. And it worked like a charm, the only thing Im woundering about is when the "prossesbar" at the website is finished the prossesbar in the app. isnt full.Does the prossesbar installed and running on the phone view an other prosses?Like total amount how many MiB Ive downloaded or how much I can download to my cell before its full?
Just use drop box.... and share folders with friends...

Hi,
I and several friends made this small app to allow us to
Sit on sofa (or anything you feel comfortable) to,
1. Watch YouTube videos and
2. Check out Facebook, flickr,
3. Browser any website I want,
4. Plus, you can use it as a touch pad to control other program as well.
etc.
Hope you like it.
Any feedback is welcome.
Thanks.

Yes. It's not so well designed. You can use the text box to input for now. (if the focus move to addressbar, just move mouse to other places).
I will update with a better design soon.

Google Play : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vivek.cloud
thanks, will take a look. using easyprint at this stage.
congratulations vivek for your 1st app , keep it up
Looks great! Does it have the ability to print selected pages from a document. That would be very useful if I wanted to say print only 1 section from a large PDF.
awesome, look forward to using this on my TFP! Thanks
simplest version comming soon...
no need to choose the file type
also image printing supported

This looks fantastic. Works perfectly on my Bionic. Two things though. After selecting what file I want to print, but before I actually click "print," is there a way to have a preview of the document shown? All i got was a white square. I wasn't sure if it was going to work until the document printed out. Also, is this like other cloud print apps wherein my actual computer needs to be on and connected to the printer?
Awesome job! Saw this on the XDA homepage so I figured I would try it.
It works! Simple. Nice.
New Version Added V2
New version is much cleaner...like it.
Not a big deal but I had to uninstall version 1 1st to have version 2 show up..when installed overtop v1..v2 still looked like v1..hope that makes sense.

imho, I don't think the technology is out yet where devices can communicate with computers that are off and printers that aren't connected... Wireless printers, yes, but off computers... No...

This tutorial is about turning your android phone into an ip cam. By this method you can use your android phone camera as a security camera. It’s easy. Follow these steps.
1) Download “Ip Webcam” to your android device. It’s free on play stores. You can download it by visiting this link.
2) Start a wifi hot spot with your android device and connect your pc to that wifi hot spot.
3) Open IP Webcam app in your android device.
3) Click on “Start Server”. Application will start a video feed and give you a ip address and a port for that feed.
4) Now place your android device anywhere within the wifi network range.
5) Open your web browser in the PC. Enter the IP Address and the port in the address bar. (This is the Ip Address that was generated by the IP Webcam application before). As seen on above screen shot it is http://192.168.3.198:8080.
6) Now click on use java browser plugin like the above image. If it asks for your permission please give permissions for the application.
That’s all. You can now see the live video feed from your android device from your pc.
Thanks for reading. Reps and bumps are accepted.:yes:

Hello.
I've created a app to mitigate the new krack vulnerability and other MITM attacks like evil twin, etc.
This is just a mitigation tool, if you can get a update in your phone do it.
The app requeriments are:
1 - A fixed ip on your phone (Or a static dhcp lease).
2 - A fixed wifi channel.
3 - A local check URL, on your router If you use OpenWRT/LEDE/DD-WRT or anything where you can write to the web root, is just a
html accessible via a local URL with a long and random text.
If not you can use your router local admin web site (usually 192.168.1.1) or anything on your local network that
generates a static text.
4 - Android 4.0+ (I don't test with lower versions , but you can edit the source code.. )
The app will check your SSID, BSSID, Your Local IP, The Network Mask, The Gateway, The DNS Servers, The Wifi Channel Frequency (Only on android 5.0+), And The Text On The Check URL.
if any of that is not equal to the saved profiles it will turn your wifi off and give you a notification.
The app will do checks everytime a network status change is done, when you turn on your screen,
when you connect disconnect your charger and every 60 seconds is the service is alive.
Here's is the apk and the source code.
(Sorry I'M NOT SPAMMING, but i consider the tool is useful and just registered for this,
but i have long time following this forum, please don't be angry )
(Google Drive) ... open?id=0B_CL_paUhmttWmplU2J1V1Rnc0k APK
(Google Drive) ... open?id=0B_CL_paUhmttVEZ5Vm9mSjJXMkU Source Code (Reuploaded)
Thanks for the upload.
Considered the time you've created an app and the time came the vulnerability report, I'll say great job!
Edit: the source zip is broken?
