I got this error after trying to get the cognition ROM. My samsung captivate was rebooting and then when i slid it to unlock i touched the screen and this error popped up and now i cant do anything with my phone. It also keeps turning on by itself and so I took the battery out.
Is there any way i can fix this???
Try posting in the Captivate forums, you might get an answer there.

ok I installed froyo 2.2 on my vibrant about 1 hour ago. I rooted it, I then deleted some bloat ware off the phone. I get an error message now, my phone vibrates all the time and then a message comes up saying "The application Dialer (process com.android.phone) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
IT WON'T STOP DOING THIS. So if someone can tell me how to either restore the files that cause this error or restore the whole phone that would be great
I used to have this when i flashed my cappy with Odin. try flashing without your external sd, and sim card. Then if you use titanium backup do not restore system apps or data. After i did that my phone has been working fine. Hope it helped.
I just finished Rooting my Transformer using the method shown on XDA TV. Everything went as planned. Flashed my Rom and then rebooted.
My transformer boots up fine but when I go to enter my pinlock code it comes up with the following error:

I hit force close and this screen just keeps coming up and I can't get into my tablet.
I can see everything working in the background. I am even getting mail!

I seen this subject discussed but never really saw a answer, seems like everyone resorted to re installing firmware which I would like to avoid if I can.......
so, Ran into some trouble today trying to trying to do the 3e recovery mod today and had to reinstall stock firmware (using odin and gtg). Got root access and and was up and running. I went to updates just to see if anything was there and a update started and completed. the phone rebooted and was on the white and red update screen for about 4 secs and the phone rebooted again. When Got back to the home screen and got a message saying the update had failed. since then device management will not stop popping up. it stays in the task bar and if you use any process that needs it, it crashes and restarts itself. the message in the taskbar says "connecting to DM server" like its trying to get a update. how can I stop this without resetting the phone?

First we don't use Odin. As it is a different device post this in that device section.

My tab (n8000) keep popping up "LosProvider has stopped." and i can't change anything on my screen. After i have clear every from cwm recovery and install reinstall the new room. it still keep popping up. i had also try to install the original rom but it doesn't disappear. anyone know how to fix it? please help. thank you
