Running stock v3389 and cannot get z4root to install (neither v1.2.2 or v1.3.0). The tab goes black, shows the TnT logo, then returns to homepage.
Anyone else have any luck rooting the stock firmware?
Nevermind. Reflashed image and now it works. Strange!

Hi Everyone. I installed the most recent build of Vegan downloaded directly from their website. I used clockwork mod and cleared the cache and the factory reset and all the fun stuff. It booted up properly once. I rebooted and now it just goes back and forth between the Viewsonic logo and the Powered by G-Tabdevs screen. It doesn't get any farther. I tried reinstalling Vegan again and didn't fix it. Anyone have any experience or guidance?
Bring the tab back to stock using nvflash, then reinstall vegan tab using clockworkmod.
Hope this helps.
Just my two cents.
I had a similar problem. When I flashed vegantab ginger it got stuck at the G-Tabdevs screen. I followed this guide to nvflash the tablet.

and then I followed this other one to reinstall clockwork mode and install the new rom:

BTW after flashing vegantab ginger you get a welcome screen where you set up your google account etc. After finishing remeber to rebbot your tablet.

Sorry about posting in General, but I'm not allowed to post in Development.
I am currently running HC 3.1 firmware version 8.4.4.5 rooted by following the Pure Root method. Everything works fine, and I verified that I have root access with Titanium Backup.
Now, I tried to do the same thing for the new firmware version 8.4.4.11. I followed the procedure exactly, including copying the two .img files from 84411.zip into the root directory, then running root.bat.
I get all the expected success messages, both on my PC and on the TF screen. However, when I reboot, all I see is the "Asus Eee Pad" logo for about 5 seconds, then a blank screen, then the Asus logo again, forever. The TF refused to shut down and restart normally, even after a hardware reset.
I'm certain I followed the procedure correctly, as I managed to reboot into APX mode and use the older root method to get back to a working, rooted version 8.4.4.5. I tried twice more to get 8.4.4.11 working, with the same (lack of) results.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions on how to make it work?
Thanks,
Eric
i got kinda the same problem, but it gets stuck on the splash screen
I had AOKP Build 29 installed on my Transformer and I decided I wanted to go back to stock so I attempted to flash the stock FW through CWM. I ended up with a CWM bootloop and like an idiot I didn't make a back up of my previous setup. So I tried flashing back to AOKP with the rom I had saved on the tablet and still got the same thing. I cleared data and tried flashing an old version on Android HD that I had on the internal SD card and that still didn't work. So I then figured I'd try flashing stock FW again....This is where things got weird. It seems that it only flashed the recovery. So now I'm stuck with stock recovery, but as soon as it boots into recovery I get the android w/! and ADB won't recognize it. I also tried doing an NVflash, but after I put the tab in APX mode and start the NVflash the tab disappears from my list of devices on my PC running windows 7 64bit. Any help to fix this will be awesome. The only thing I can think of is to uninstall the drivers and reinstall them to see if that fixes it.
I got a similar problem today. I put it to APX mode, start nvflash, it flashes the first images and when it starts flashing the bootloader my TF disconnects and turns off.
Please help!

Hi guys,
Really sorry to ask about this but tearing my hair out!
I have a P6200 UK model. I installed CWM v6.0.1.0 and it worked fine. The intention was to install Galaxy ROM HD (build #06), so I downloaded it, put it on my SD card, and installed from CWM recovery. The install got stuck on "Flashing boot" - so after around 15 mins I reset it.
It went into a boot loop on the initial Samsung logo. Luckily I'd previously re-flashed stock HC with Odin (to cure a dead Wifi problem caused by, I think, an errant install of Busybox) so I did this again, rebooted, and the system came up, text started scrolling up the screen, followed by a red error message (see picture) and a reboot. I was then once again stuck on the initial Samsung Tab 7.0 Plus log. I repeated the process and it didn't even get past the Samsung logo.
So I thought I'd try the newly released ICS Rom (GT-P6200_ATO_P6200XXLQ1_P6200OXALQ1) - this seemed to install OK, then half booted, did some text type installation stuff with the blue Android, then rebooted again, finally getting stuck on the Samsung logo with blue pulsating behind it. It never gets any further than that.
I tried flashing HC back - same result as earlier. I can also reflash CWM and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It seems I've run out of options.
So - question is - where (if anywhere!) can I go from here?
Help greatly appreciated, many thanks!
have you tried a system wipe in cwm? if not do a system wipe and reflash HC using odin.. same thing happen to me 2 days ago.. I think something is up with HD rom
I installed a rooted Marshmallow stock rom from here .
The tablet freezes atleast twice a day. I would be browsing or watching video and the tablet would just freeze.
I did factory reset and I still have the issue. I have the original shield tablet.
Anyone else having these issues?
EDIT:
I booted to bootloader and it says: UNDEF_Build
I reflashed tegra124-tn8-p1761-1270-a04-e-battery.dtb.zip and twrp-20151227-EXPERIMENTAL-shieldtablet-m.img and now my tablet gets stuck on nvidia logo. I can boot to the bootloader and still shows UNDEF_Build, not sure what to do next..
Edit:
I downloaded 3.1.1 image from nvidia and flashed it, then I updated to 4.0. For now it's working, I'll play with it a bit more.
