Good news everyone
We've just released the first public beta version of G-Alarm for Android.

This version contains some of the most important features and is pretty stable. Nevertheless - as this is still a beta version - we recommend you to set up an additional alarm clock the next couple of days.
Of course some important features are still missing but we'll include them (e.g. Shake/Turn face down to snooze or stop an alarm).
Stay tuned!
This beta version will work until 2011/01/31.
Have fun with it!

Happy new year! Beta 0.2 has been released!

Wow amazing, I was waiting for this app since months, the only one I was missing from my WM phone
Thank you so much, will try it for sure !!!

One of the greatest apps on my WM6 phone now on my android?! I can die happy now.
Thank you ageye!

I was just looking on the market for this yesterday as I am now moving from WM to android

Awesome, going to try this out tonight! I've been trying ElectricSleep and every day it gets worse... Records a few hours, never starts recording, records but doesn't save... and every single update wipes stats and settings.
Cheers
EDIT: Oops, confused.. I did use G-Alarm in WM, but I was thinking of Sleep Sense.. :/

Dev... Please keep a simple free version (with ads) and a paid version for the bells and whistles full release.. I liked the polish of the WM app, but it became a little bloated after many revisions (mazes, turn over mutes, math problems) and other whatnots. I also recall it being a pain to have to refresh my alarms after every ROM change.. Can we have a logfile in SD that remains post flash?
Thanks!

like the idea of free/paid versions but more so that g alarm is coming to android. it is still my go to alarm for win mobile.
i also never used the mazes or math problems an such but just left them un checked and it can be simple to reload your alarms after a flash...just do a export before flash then a import after

Happy new year!

I've been using electricsleep (love it!! Never fails to work!). Will G-Alarm include sleep tracking too?

That's a good idea about the log file. I remember resetting my settings after every flash too, but I think if you get titanium it will back up your settings when you back up and restore the app, although I could be mistaken.
Also, I'd just like to say that I don't care about free/paid versions, because I'm probably going to pay for this. I WANT THIS APP. No other alarm I've tried has even come CLOSE to G-Alarm.
I've recently been a victim of "smarter alarm" which was a terrible failure for me. Go G-Alarm go!

Looks great.
I am running into the issue (reported on the Ageye.de forums) that when I try to open Settings, the app FCs. So a fix for that would be required for the app to really be useful.
Otherwise looking great.

Alternative for Sleep Cycle alarm clock

I'm looking for an Windows Mobile alternative for the iPhones Sleep Cycle alarm clock. The Sleep Cycle alarm clock is a bio-alarm clock that analyzes your sleep patterns and wakes you when you are in the lightest sleep phase.

Anyone have a good idee?
My mate has an iPhone and he has been using the app for a week and swears he wakes up fresher in the morning by using the sleep cycle alarm clock.
I had my doubts that it would make a real difference, thinking it was more of a gimmick, but it makes sense.
I would donate $10USD to the project if someone makes the app

That is true but SPB Time 3 is liking a wake-up light. It just shows a white screen (bright light
) and start with playing some sound of birds/water about 30 minutes before the real alarm goes off. It doesn't have any type of REM-sleep registration.
Moved as not software release..
I will try to write this application. I will need a few days.
I'm going to have to give up on this because after days of testing I can't figure out the best way to translate the gsensor readings to movements in bed. The gsensor readings are always changing so even for example when my Touch HD is absolutely still on a table the readings are still fluctuating, particularly z axis.
Just to throw an idea out there (i have experience with control systems but not g sensors in particular).
Couldn't you filter the data with a moving average (within a predefined error range) which would essentially be the noise floor of the signal. Values over this noise floor would contribute to the calculation of the slope/gradient value.
To form a gradient/slope value you would take samples from the gsensor which were a 'x' times bigger than the noise floor which would determine the accel/de-accel slope value.
I have alot of experience in C programming, I could create the algorithms/program flow diagrams if it would help.
Is there a Gsensor logging app that i could try the algorithms out?
Maybe this can help: G-Trigger, G-Sensor based ^shake^ detector
I'm really looking forward to this kind of app, hope someone can make it happen
+1 Person
add me 2! very interessting
Anyone seen this site? http://www.wakemate.com/
looks like a good alternative
I'm also very interested!
I will add 10USD to this development.
Isn't wakemate doing this?
Sleep Sense application - beta coming soon
Hi All
I had to run a short-running average, comparing this with a long-running average in order to smooth out the fluctuating gsensor readings, to accurately detect acceleration and movement. Then averaging out this data onto a graph.
I will have a beta application ready for you to test this weekend. It doesn't look too pretty but the functionality should be there.
Thanks
Ash

[Live Wallpaper] Album Art - RELEASED!

Have spent a bit more time working on Live Wallpapers, and the newest one pulls your album art and shows it on the home screen, a bit like the screensaver OS X comes with.
Features:
* Accesses your Android album art library (if you see it in Music Player, you see it here...)
* Shuffle feature
* Compatible with LauncherPro
* Very fast (approx 0.5 seconds on first load)
* Smooth scrolling between screens
* Periodically changes individual covers
* Opaque setting to make pale text easier to read.
Update:
Thanks to the team of beta testers who did a great job helping me identify bugs and implement a few new features. The Album Art Live Wallpaper is now released to the Market for 99p, and a demo is also available for free.

Album Art Live Wallpaper (Demo)
Free copies:
If you encounter a serious problem in the demo (for example, it won't load on your phone) and you work with me to fix it by sending a log entry etc, you get to keep a free copy. ;-)
Update v1.1 (16/07/10):
Just uploaded version 1.1 to the Market. Amongst other fixes this addresses an issue where incomplete album art collections resulted in a large number of grey Android tiles (missing artwork) showing on the home screen. The app will now make 10 attempts to find a replacement tile before giving up and moving on.
Update v1.2 (19/07/10):
Various bug fixes; possible solution for Droid users ("Use internal storage" option), greyscale rendering.
Download the demo below or on the Android Market. It's only 99p and took a huge amount of time and effort to get to this point, so if you like it, please buy it!
It looks snazzy enough, I wouldn't mind being a beta tester.
I would really like to try this out. I put a lot of music on my phone to listen to frequently.
wouldn't mind being a beta tester for you if you need anymore.
I would love to help test as well.
I'm in to be a beta tester for this awesome project.
an option to specify a folder from gallery will be awesome too.
PM'ed you mate

Still trying to find a 250Gb SD card to fit all my music on
Would love to be a beta!!! Sign me up!!!
only two testers? Let me be no. 3.
errh... waited to long, now I am not no. 3 anymore.
Anyway...
Are you guys just posting here, or pm'ing him? He did specify a pm to let him know. Just checking. Also, let him know about your phone, what kind it is(most likely N1 if you're reading this thread), what rom you're running(which I forgot to do, it's Cyanogen 5.0.8), and what kind of home you have, I'm sure he'd want to see a wide mix of home replacements to see if any of them have any issues.
+1 on picking the folder to display.
count me in this looks nice
I'm down for whatever...count me in.

also another idea would be to have this
as a background to the waveform live wallpaper
that would be sick when listening to music :]

[App] Root Call Blocker needs testers

Hello guys, im the developer of Root Call Blocker, an advanced call and SMS blocking app for rooted phones.
The app's home is here at XDA:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1051274
We have had multiple reports that blocking is not working sometimes on the American sammy phones, so we need some nice people to do some testing.
You can use the Groups function of the Lite version to do the testing - it gives you almost everything youd want from the app anyway.
Please post comments here, but also use the "Write to us" dialog in settings.
This is great, my bug with calls comng through sometimes when call waiting with more than 1 number was fixed in 165! Thanks a lot!
Enjoy... and remember, an update is always just around the corner!
Could you guys please test the following behavior for me:
1. How the app behaves when a blocked number attempts to connect during call waiting
2. How a blocked caller is handled when "Dont answer" is set as the reject method and you are currently on the phone and have not enabled blocked call vibrate notifications within the app itself
Dont forget to send logs with descriptions as well.
Come on people, i really need some feedback on this!
Come on guys - feedback will help me help you!
Awesome, working perfectly here thanks. Dont thing ive ever had issues with this app (maybe once had to do a manual license check)...
Thanks, could you please test the behavior i described above? Its very important!
Guys, an update has been rolled out. It contains an important new workaround thast needs to be tested.
It may help those people who have data issues, especially on LTE enabled phones sometimes.
Please help me test this by installing the app, rebooting and waiting for data to return with the screen on. Please wait 3 minutes at least before sending logs via "Write to developer" in the app.
Dont forget to include a description. Thanks!
Working perfectly for me! Thanks, this is absolutely top class. Ive been using CM as well, great app too.
Enjoy. And dont forget that im always checking these threads, ao comments and suggestions are welcome!
Any issues to report?
Maybe found a bug... just maybe
This actually sort of saved my a$$ so not sure if I should list it as a bug or not LOL anyways I'm using Miui on a HTC Desire Z and I loaded my root blocker pro and added a password and put it in hidden mode. I always back up my blocking settings so I forgot how to load root blocker pro when it's hidden, so I went into the settings into manage applications, then I uninstalled root call blocker and re-installed it and said no to the restore, got into the setting and restored manually. Could be a security flaw, what do you think?
There is no way to prevent this other than taking your sd card out. Its an android flaw.
Yes, its a problem with android itself!
Any issues to report?
Not sure if it the app or not. I have an evo shift. Im using the free version and ever since i installed rcb i lose all service sometimes, data and phone. A reboot fixes it. Like i said i never had this problem before i installed rcb. On a lighter note it works great awesome app! I will be buying when i figure out if it rcb or not
Supremly transmikked! Sense in disguise
RCB will only interfere with data at first run, so it isnt the app. Bad radio, bad signal, pretty much lots of possible reasons...
Ok, i did find that it is blocking all picture mail(mms). Is there a setting to fix it?

[APP][4.1+]Receipt (Updated 19-Apr)

Receipt is a small utility I made as part of my quest to learn programming.
It lets you create shopping lists and see your spending stats.
I'm preparing to release version 1.2 to the play store, but I need to test it for a while to make sure it's bug free.
So now, I'm releasing a beta of version 1.2. Version 1.2 brings a few new features. Among the big ones are :
4.3 and 4.4 compatibility.
A global monthly budget can now be defined; this is in addition to the per list limits already available since version 1.
Tags can now be assigned for each item. This lets you see spending by category in the stats tab.
Lists can now be sent to other people via the standard sharing menu.
If you come across any bugs or strange behavior while testing let me know by posting on this thread or through:
Google+
Twitter
This beta drops support for 4.0 and requires 4.1+. I'm currently having some issues with ICS, but hopefully I'll manage to fix them and restore 4.0 compatibility before releasing the final version.
Get the beta on the Play Store (via Google+), or by downloading the attached apk.
Not ready to test the beta? Get the current version on the play store.
COOL ! really nice looking app, will give it a go !

Hey congrats this is a beautiful app, if you want help to translate it to another languages i can help you, my mother tongue is spanish
Thanks.
Mulțumesc pentru aplicație, mă bucur să văd aplicații făcute de români!
This is awesome.
Only a few devs(and sadly not the bigger players) comply with Android Design Guidelines nowadays.
I will try the functionality as soon as I flash PAC.
Again, thanks for being a great developer and not rebelling against Android Design Guidelines.
Nice app. Can we get the ability to switch between light and dark themes?
Very nice app !
And looks awesome !
Nice :X
Re: [APP][4.0+]Receipt
Really nice looking, hope I have a budget I must maintain soon so I could give it a go
And may I give an advise/recommend a feature: let the user have a preset tax amount. Since most States here in US (or around the world) have different tax rates... so by the time you get to the checkout everything is added up correctly and kept on budget
Sent from my One X using Tapatalk 2
Really nice app. One thing though Since I'm living in Sweden it would be nice with some more currencies, in my case SEK. Can also help with translation if needed.
Thanks...nice app
Hi, I've tested your app. It's Very good but I missed some features.
First, for every purchase you do, the app should made a Product list in the background with all Products you've ever bought. Maybe depends on Mall. (An extra box for Malls?) So you can calculate how much your purchase will cost.
Second, how about a total amount per Month? How many money do you paid per Month, for example?
And another thing, may i can help you to translate it in German?
Open source?
Impressive. Is it open source? I'd like to contribute to it.
NICE...downloading now. We'll give some feedback in after a couple days usage!
Rich K.
when I changed from euro sign to dollar sign app crushed!
anyway app is looking very nice! looking forward to get new versions!
Awesome app!
Quick question : What library did you used to create the graph?
Found a little bug while doing some stress testing.
I set the budget to 1€, and added two massive values to the receipt.
The result was a negative total, thus not triggering the budget warning.

[WIDGET][4.0+] Clean&simple notes widget

I tried many notes, but most of them were ugly, or it was impossible to add notes directly from home screen.
Even official google notes are ugly (on the other side, they're of course rich featured).
So in few days I created this small, beatifull and simple notes widget, maybe you would like it:

Next updates:
- working on cloud synchronization (well, we will see...)
- working on option to add notification (alarm) on notes
PS: it's completely free, without ads, no need to pay anything, with highly customizable and clean design.
new version available on market:
- many small fixes
- option do delete single note by 1 click
- few small improvements
TODO:
gmail synchronization is half done, it will be finished in few weeks as I'm busy now
New version now in market. Huge improvements:
v.2.0
- fixed bug when adding notes on Android 4.4
- custom reminder/alarm functionality
- exporting importing notes
- new look, brand new settings and new options available
- many small improvements
- added portugal, czech translation
Anybody wants to help me with translation for other languages?
Do you have any suggestiops, tips, bugs, questions...? I would love to hear them.

Yeah sure. It's purpose - reminders are allowed maximum 1 month in advance. I think it's quite reasonable period, I wanted to avoid users scroll over months and years too easy - it can happen that they set reminder on next year on same month and then they would write me why it didn't ring or so

Can be. I just do not see any reason why to set reminder for example 11 months in advance as this is really not common use case...But good to hear also other opinion, I can change it in next version

I can think of plenty of reasons.
Reminder: get travel insurance. Time: next summer.
Reminder: new ice skates. Time: next winter.
Reminder: buy new passport. Time: before old passport expires.
Reminder: pay back loan. Time: St. Never's Day.
etc.
Ok, it was fixed. Now you can set alarm also 50 years in advance I also fixed few other problems in latest version.
