if you want 2.3.4, go here download the "Full Rom" image and follow the instructions on the post, should work fine for you.
ok i just rooted my htc inspire i got the cyanogen mod 2.3.3 build 7.0.3. It WON'T LET ME INSTALL THE GOOGLE APPS ZIP FILE??? I GO INTO RECOVERY WITH CLOCKWORK THE PHONE REBOOTS SHOWS THE GREET HTC SYMBOL ON THE SCREEN THEN TURNS BROWN AND STAYS LIKE THAT?? DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THE MARKET .APK FILE WILL WORK, OR WHERE I CAN FIND IT PLEASE HELP.
I just picked up a used xoom that had 3.0.1 on it...
when I checked for updates, it found 3.1 HMJ37.... It downloaded and verified it. then I clicked on restart and install.
It proceeded to restart the Xoom, powered back on to the green android guy with the triangle inside.... then after a few minutes it restarts again...
but it still has 3.0.1 on it....
Ive done this 3 times so far.....
Any ideas what the issue could be?
thanx for your help
Danny
could it be failing the update because its not running stock 3.0.1?
how could I tell if its stock or has already been rooted (I know on phones you have a superuser app, but dont know to much about rooting tablets)

Im not sure how to tell... there doesnt appear to be any superuser on it...
any when I loaded setcpu, is was not able to gain access....
any other way to tell is its not completely stock?
So I decided to try a few more things..
I powered it on while holding the volume down key...
It got to the red cirlce with an M in it and says in the top left-
"starting fastboot protocol support"
I assume this means that I dont have a completely stock device???
unfortunately it is stuck there.... its not doing anything else....
any ideas?
-update
(apparently holding down the volume up key and pressing the power button got it to restart)
Can anyone explain what the fast boot is and how to go back to stock?
update 2-
holding the volume up and powering it on gives me this message
"starting RSD protocol support 3"
and then just hangs as well
thanx for your help
danny
One more thing I noticed, When it restarts to perform the upgrade, it shows the below message when the Green Droid comes on
'Entering System Recovery'
thanx again
do a reset on it so you know your working with a clean slate download something like adfree to see if it is rooted from previous owner if it is

Background info-
Came stock 2.2.1 Froyo
Rooted-Superoneclick
Flashed Infused 2.2.3 ROM
Here is where it gets messy. I had downloaded a second ROM (TEDGY? I think it was called) and saved it to my phone to flash later as i wanted to revert to stock then flash. My dad decided to help me and open all the apps he didnt understand (ROM manager, superuser and Kernal Flasher) and "accidently" flashed my second ROM over Infused 2.2.3. Now its stuck in a bootloop and thinks its a galaxy s 1000??? When i tried to boot into ClockWorkMod it just reloads/resumes the "Samsung Galaxy S 1000" boot up screen. I pulled the battery and tried holding vol UP+DOWN+POWER and it shows the bootup screen. What do i do?
Input on anything appreciated!

Oh wow well back to stock it should be then: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1116251 or you can go straight to 2.3 leak if you wish: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331381 what you could try though is hold the up volume and power until the screen goes off, then boot into cwm. If it does boot, then if you have hellraiser all you do is just flash that. If you do not, if you have an adapter for the sd card to the computer then plug it in after the two button thing i said earlier to turn it off and take the battery out. Then put Hellraiser on the sdcard, and then try booting into cwm and then flashing that to live lol. Just going to stock in you case may be easier though.
thanks guys. just debricked it. now its stock and slow! Yeah Froyo! (back to gtg465's infused ROM!)
I've been working on my phone tonight and I had ViperXL installed....
The Memory card wasn't being read and I erased that ROM and was going to go back to my "NANODROID".....to start over fresh.
Now my phone won't make it past the HTC Splash Screen and the screen goes black.....Currently I cant see my phone on my PC
Did i brick my phone? I've tried Volume Down + Power to get into bootloader. It says HTC for 3-4 Seconds than goes blank. The 3 Keys at the bottom just flash white when I'm holding down buttons
Please tell me there is something I can do. I feel sick to my stomach

push the power button until it stop flashing. when you didnt see it flashing again, push and hold the volume down and push the power button for only 1 or 2 secs without releasing the volume down button. you should be back to the bootloader screen, and from there you can go to recovery to reflash your ROM.
Make sure you flash the boot.img when you install new ROM if you in hboot 1.14 or higher. unless you are s-off. hope this help.
----nevermind looks like you solve it on the viperXL forums

Just cant seem to get back to the bootloader screen
MY phone is dead currently, I will try that other suggestion of Power THAN volume down.....
Am i screwed?
Turn on, hold power 10-15 seconds, until screen goes black, let off, press n hold volume down, press power just 2-3 seconds, let off power button but continue holding vol. Down

Go to the thread on your phone and download it. Check with file explorer to make sure it is in download folder on sd. Go into recovery and flash the ota update for your version.

Boot into recovery. Go to mount and then mount usb. Copy the ota over and install it.

I tried that when I was having the same issue. It keeps showing up as a HTC disc drive. So i just went to the thread in desktop view and downloaded straight to the phone. Would not recognize it as an android device.

Put it on my phone......Where?
How do I flash just that?
Just go to install and then choose the ota zip. Doesn't matter where on your phone you put it.

Yep got it.....
Once I'm pointed in the right direction, I'm usually good to go......
So this OTA Update should fix the Memory Card problem......? What else did it address?
At least I know there is a workaround through TWRP.
Also, thanks for not being a Douche.......
Not everyone has a degree in Computer Science and Applications lol!!!!!
