[Q] Infuse Soft brick - Samsung Infuse 4G

Background info-
Came stock 2.2.1 Froyo
Rooted-Superoneclick
Flashed Infused 2.2.3 ROM
Here is where it gets messy. I had downloaded a second ROM (TEDGY? I think it was called) and saved it to my phone to flash later as i wanted to revert to stock then flash. My dad decided to help me and open all the apps he didnt understand (ROM manager, superuser and Kernal Flasher) and "accidently" flashed my second ROM over Infused 2.2.3. Now its stuck in a bootloop and thinks its a galaxy s 1000??? When i tried to boot into ClockWorkMod it just reloads/resumes the "Samsung Galaxy S 1000" boot up screen. I pulled the battery and tried holding vol UP+DOWN+POWER and it shows the bootup screen. What do i do?
Input on anything appreciated!

Oh wow well back to stock it should be then: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1116251 or you can go straight to 2.3 leak if you wish: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331381 what you could try though is hold the up volume and power until the screen goes off, then boot into cwm. If it does boot, then if you have hellraiser all you do is just flash that. If you do not, if you have an adapter for the sd card to the computer then plug it in after the two button thing i said earlier to turn it off and take the battery out. Then put Hellraiser on the sdcard, and then try booting into cwm and then flashing that to live lol. Just going to stock in you case may be easier though.

thanks guys. just debricked it. now its stock and slow! Yeah Froyo! (back to gtg465's infused ROM!)

TB not turning on after rooting!

Hello, I moved to TB from Fascinate.
I just rooted my TB and tried to change fonts (systems/fonts, DroidSans DroidSansFallback DroidSans-Bold files)
after I changed everything, I turned off the phone and am trying to turn it back on.
After the sound comes on, it froze showing clouds on the screen.
What should I do? Is there any Odin stock files something like that?
I see the posts on development forum with ADB things but the thing is I can turn my phone back on.
Please help!!!
Give it time to turn on. The clouds freeze. It's part of the boot animation. If that doesn't work hold the sound button down and power on and go into recovery and wipe data or flash a different rom thru cwm

I held the sound button down and power on and it straight went to bootloader instead recovery! after that I could turn on my phone but Rom manager doesn't work property. should I go back to stock and reroot it?

first hold down power and vol down, then once you get into the bootloader, hit vol down till your highlighting recovery, hit power, now your in the recovery. Download a new rom and flash that.
Im havinbg the same problem. i was rooted with S-off and had clockwork installed and i tried to flash a new rom on and after i did that i tried to boot and it stuck on the cloud for 45 mins. afte that i tried again and again to no avail. Finally i went back into clockwork and did a factory wipe, bt it STILL sit on the clouds. Am i screwed?
Try a different rom and do a data & dvlik wipe before you flash...
About to try a different rom now. I also tried to chage my kernel with clockwork. Could that do anything different?
OKay so i got it to load with DAS BAMF. Lightning rom didnt work sadly =( im hoping this reboots good lol

Black screen after Galaxy S logo!!!

I was running ICSSGS rom for a week now, but i didnt really liked it so i decided to for the first time go back to stock. I used AdamOutlers UCKB2 Heimdall One-click back to 2.2 froyo. Entered download mod smoothly, flashed without any problems, and then phone started booting. Att logo, att animtion, galaxy s animation for about a minute, and then...black screen. I left it on a black screen for about ten minutes, nothing happened. When i touch capacitive keys they stay lit up and thats it. I tried flashing same thing again, as i could enter download mod without any problems, but i faced same problem. Then i tried flashing it with bootloaders box checked, faced same problem. Is there anyone who could help to get phone running again ?? I need help desperately!!
UPDATE:
Ok i tried , Odin super one-click back to stock eclair 2.1, flashing went smoothly, and now phone is stucked in flashing att logo (keeps flashing att logo). I tried to enter download mod again, but now it just starts charging when i do key combo and usb plug. Also, cannot enter the recovery.
Not sure what's going on with the flashing but sounds like you will need a jig to get into download mode. Of your phone came with 2.2 out of the box that's probably why the Odin one click 2.1 didn't work. I'm guess maybe bad download of the heimdall

I did the same thing a few days ago. As long as you have your current rom downloaded on your computer you can put your phone in ODIN mode (power + vol down), start ODIN on computer, plug in phone. Once ODIN sees your phone click start. Since right now you can't see anything on your phone due to the kernel, redoing it will straighten you out.
I fixed mine this way and haven't messed with the kernel since.
Tappin' from my SGP 5.0
The thing is that I cant eter odin recovery mode
I have CWMR5.... I try with (vol up + power btn + central btn). And the CWMR5 is there.
Another thing is that I dont have a bootloader lower than lph
I cant install another rom
So.. I'm stuck here
any ideas??
simple!!!
well u can simply flash the rom to stock one by putting it in download mode and after that selecting the stock rom in the pda
after that u need root as well deoxidise the rom so that rom could be properly installed!!!
Maybe this will help:
http://androidflip.com/unbrick-samsung-android-phones-click-guide/
Thanks people!
I've finally placed a CM9 rom in the flash memory and installed it with google apps.
Clear cache
wipe data
clear davik(or something)
and reboot...
I've lost all my work postits but I got my phone back!
and with 4.0.4
Thanks guys!! all of you for your time answering!
I'm happy you got your phone working again!!!! I was crushed when I thought I killed mine too.

Stuck in boot, have cwm

Hi there. I had a stock S4g, had froyo 2.2.1. I Rooted the phone. That went fine. I went to install a new kernel (baliSGS4G) The instal got interrupted, second reboot had the android logo flashing while the normal galaxy s logo was on, so I knew from there it was screwed up...
It booted up fine actually, and i was able to operate around in on the phone, altho the home button didnt work... I went ahead and tried a restart to see what it would do and it would stick at the galaxy s boot screen and the voice would say "restore operation" and just reboot and be stuck on a boot loop...
I CANNOT get into recovery mode UNLESS I remove my sdcard... if I do I CAN... BUT it seems as tho the cwm recover is somewhat useless to me now that the sdcard isnt in.... If I boot into recovery and THEN put the card in, it saws E: Can't mount /sdcard..
Ive tried wipe cache partition, wipe data/factory reset... nothing..
Any suggestions? THankyou!
use any one of the "one clicks".
p.s. gb is a better os

sorry, i've very novice, what do you mean by the one clicks? Like a one click flash program or something?
And yeah, I actually have a galaxy SIII.....the reason i grabbed this one out is i have a little go pro style project im going to do with it and dont want to risk breaking my new phone.
I will try the newer os If i can get this fixed.. Hopefully!

Second link in signature will help.
Ok Lumin, I did what you said and I am getting to the command promt and it is not seeing my phone, It still shows the phone is disconnected... I have CWM recovery, is that an issue?? That opens when i hold the up,down,up button combo, not the stock download mode screen.
Very well written tutorial btw.

Try One-Click Gremlin Remover to flash and fix. Found this to be easier than Heimdall for the uninitiated: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1500427
1 Open Gremlin remover on PC
2. Remove battery from phone
3. Hold down both the Up and Down on the Volume Rocker
4. Plug Phone into USB (without battery)
5. Insert battery into phone and replace cover
The phone should automatically boot into Download mode, and Gremlin Remover should recognize the phone. This should wipe it back to stock but leave it rooted. Then you can start again. I recommend the SGS Kernel Flasher App to flash new kernels in the future. Much less prone to error.
OK its late, i wasnt reading close enough, I was holding the power button too like an idiot... Got it to work, now my phone boots up like new.
Thanks for the help guys.
I can sleep well tonight.:good:

You might refrain from recommending a different flashing utility (ODIN) when somebody has already started using Heimdall and is just asking for help to finish the process. All you are doing is inviting more problems with driver and USB port issues by doing so. You gave him a simple set of instructions that mentioned nothing about drivers.
And SGS Kernel Flasher is great but it only works properly on our GB ROMs.
