Is anyone having trouble with clockworkmod? Mine wont backup rom.
I got everything working fine. I rooted before we know that clockworkmod 3.0.0.5 wasn't compatible. With 3.0.0.6 everything is good to go.
Can you tell me how you rooted?

I rooted with the ace hack kit posted in the dev section. Clockwork installs but, it just wont go into backup. It used to work perfect on my evo.
Mine works just fine.
Try reinstalling CWM from Rom manager.
I think I managed to brick my Inspire while trying to restore a Nandroid backup. From what I've gathered, CWM 3.x is not compatible/buggy with Froyo ROMs (it was designed for Gingerbread). I'm going to flash CM7 to see if I can downgrade to CWM 2.5.x
CWM Black Screen / no boot
I'm having an entire failure of CWM on my device period.. I rooted using the ace hack kit and hboot confirms S-OFF..
That said, if I use the hw keys Vol Up + Power to get into recovery, the front LED flashes orange and it vibrates 4 times, then just sits with the blinking LED forever until I pull (or shall I say, sling) the battery out.
Attempting to go in via either adb reboot recovery or rom manager yeilds an interesting HTC boot logo fading to black then sits forever.
I've tried all version of CWM Rom manager will find, all do the same thing...
Any one else seen this issue or have any insight?

me too. i did get it into recoverry the first time with the hack kit but since then ive gone back to a stock rooted rom. and it wont work at all now
slcd bug?
Sounds like another slcd bug for clockwork.
you can google it.
Mine does same thing. It boots into recovery, then I see HTC logo, fades to black.
Clockwork is running though, and you can still flash stuff. You just cant see what is going on.

Is there anyway around this? I rooted with Bubby's One Click and I had this problem. Then I flashed a stock Rooted S-Off Rom with sideloading using HBoot and renaming the zip file. It flashed fine but the same thing occurs, fade to black screen from HTC Logo.
I tried using the same version of CWM & Rom Manager r34p3rex uses in his YouTube video, but it also does this and now I'm completely lost.
I've used CMW many times on my Nook Color, and I know that there's no way I could back up and flash blind
I had the same problem on my phone with the logo fading to black when trying to access clockwork. To get it to work, you have to get eng s off. There's a thread in the dev section titled "how I learned to love the bomb", or something like that, that explains everything

Hi,
Are you s-off?
What ROM?
What radio?
Etc. etc,
MOAR information,please
I used Android Revolution HD I fixed that thanks god!!! But now another problem starts.. i turn on the phone and restarts over and over after the green sign. I can't access recovery also. I tried to install a recovery putting this file: PG58IMG in to Memory card and then install but no success it does the same I can't access recovery at all. When i try to access it my phone restarts the same when i try to turn it on. If someone one know what to do please tell me...thank you i would be grateful if you can help me! I am S-Off yes
For Revolution HD there are very critical pre-requisites before flashing ROM:
-Latest and recommended firmware package (Differs for each version pls check)
-Super wipe script
-4ext
Did you do all before flashing ROM?
I think i did not. I've just rooted and after installed this custom ROM and it worked for 3 days until today. What i want to do is to access Recovery so i can swipe everything and Install a new ROM. but every time i try to access my phone restarts
I had a problem similar not long ago. My phone would do constant restart when trying to boot up and I had a firmware file on my sd card so it wouldn't go into recovery (4ext touch). So I removed the sd card and was able to go into recovery, tho nothing showed up, I inserted my sim card back in and THANKFULLY it recognized it and I could fix my problem. Not sure if doing this will help with your problem but give it a shot.
Try to flash 4ext:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1377759
trying right now mates... let's see !!!
If not works, then try to install original RUU and startover.
To install original RUU:
- Just connect your phone to Windows (Drivers must be installed before, to do that just install HTC sync, it will also install some other stuff (drivers), uninstall JUST HTC Sync not the other stuff)
- Run RUU.exe
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074559
I am telling you that my phone doesn't turn on at all... i mean i can't go to menu etc..
I am downloading this : RUU_Pyramid_HTC_Europe_1.24.401.1_Radio_10.39.9007.00P_10.11.9007.09_M2_release_190934_signed.exe at the moment ! is this good?!
You may guess best one to choose by your operator and country.
I have tried several ones till get the correct one since i do not remember the original one
I've just installed that my friend but same problem
Did you installed HTC Sync?
Does Windows recognized your phone succesfully before install?
Does RUU installed properly? It should reboot several times while installing.
Would you please describe problem in some more detail? When you push power button what happens? Did you see anything on screen? When you push volumedown and power together, what happens? What is on the screen?
Did you manage to fix ur problem mate.

If you flashed the radio file, you need to take that off your sd card otherwise it will just keep updating the radio or trying to and you can't get into recovery. Pull card and delete that file you placed there. Then you can boot into bootloader and get to recovery. if you have arhd rom, once you boot into the rom, go to settings., power and uncheck fastboot.

If you are trying to get an arhd rom loaded I suggest you come over to the arhd dev thread and ask. You will get a solution. Kernels are in the rom so I'm not sure what you are seeing. Start with what shows at the top of your bootloader screen. Locked unlock, radio, hboot etc. that will help.

hey guys
i installed the basic rom manager by clockwork mod on my HTC WILDFIRE S A.K.A MARVEL
however when i open it it comes superuser not found and that i have to root my phone...i have already rooted it from htcdev.com
also i have the premium app of this from snappz market however it does not work either...
please help....
I assume it's safe to guess that you do indeed have super user in your app drawer though, yes? But you should not use ROM Manager, as it can cause quite a few problems. It's easier just to understand how to use your own phone and to get comfortable with the recovery menu in CWM.
I have the marvel, turn off phone and take out the battery, put battery back in ,press the volume down button and power button at the same time till the white screen comes on, then press recovery that will get you to cwm
HTC Wildfire S VM "S-Off" "Rooted" Stock Rom
I was working on rooting my phone (HTC Sensation 4G) and was able to get S-Off to work. I was attempting to install ICS and now my phone will not get past the boot screen which is the white background with "htc" logo. I am able to update the PG58IMG.zip when in the the screen by holding the down volume button and the power button. It says update successful but when you reboot phone, it again refuses to load past the logo screen. Any help or directions to look would be greatly appreciated!
I am assuming you rooted also, right? Not just S-off.
Did you install the ROM of choice after you installed the -IMG file? I ran into a bunch of issues for about a day trying all of this and then finally got it to work with: Load the official T-Mobile IMG file-> reboot-> pull battery and bring back into recovery-> install ROM (I used revolution HD for Sensation)-> reboot and it will take a few minutes to load and u "should" be good to go.
Note that after I failed about three times with various ROMs I used Super Wipe to clear everything off of my phone and that seemed to help.
I hope this helps, as I am very new to rooting my phone also.

Please Help!
I don't know if I am posting this in the right section and if I'm not I apologize.
I just updated my sensation (T-mobile ver.) to the HD Revolution 6.8.0. First off I updated the radio to the version recommended, the phone worked fine after that. Then I used their super wipe to wipe the phone. Then I went ahead and installed the rom (everything was done through 4ext) and rebooted the phone. When I rebooted, the phone turned off and it won't turn on. I tried to boot in bootloader by holding vol down and power but it doesn't work. When I connect it to the PC it doesn't recognize it. If I go to Device Manager it says QHSUSB_DLOAD and it says that the drivers for this device are not installed. Anyone have any idea on how to fix it?
Thanks in advance I really appreciate it!
Did you used proper superwipe zip file?
I assume the issue is with superwipe zip file.. Post it here I'll have a look at it
