[Q] SuperCSDI with External Install of Apps - G1 Android Development

Just want to be able to install apps directly to the sd with this rom. I liked how in CM6.1 you could select to install in the phone or on the sd and this same thing would complete this rom. If anyone knows how to do this please let me know.

Update
Only needing this to install larger apps on phone and some apps are too large to install and then move to sd.

Apps2SD

Using CM6t8
Is it possible? If so, would anyone mind explaining how? I have the option under applications but it fails every time.
I went into rom manager and set up my preferences for SD partition (anyone have suggestions on those by the way?? partition size/swap size<--no idea what that means), I have an 8GB SD Card.
Then it said I needed to reboot and it put me into the recovery screen, what do I need to do here?
Thanks in advance
I'm lost on getting the Google apps installed through ROM manager as well.

Change Market default installation location

Guys,
is there a way to change the Market installation location to the 16 GB sd card?
I tried app2sd and other similar app, nothing work on Gtablet or I am just not doing it correctly?
please help.
thanks
Android newbie.
Use install manager and it will let you move Apps2SD or if you sideload or use another market it will let you pick install location.

[Q] How to Verify that you have successfully loaded Bugfixn v3 for Dexter's 1.3

I just applied the stock221v13-bugfix-3 patch for dexter's froyo v1.3 on my XT720.
I have couple questions to ask you.
1. How do I verify that the patches are successfully applied on my phone?
2. How do I verify APP2SD is working on my phone?
3. How do I enable Link2SD feature on the phone?
Thank you for your help!!
1) not exactly sure, maybe in Settings > About?
2) Apps2SD is always activated in Froyo 2.2
3) if Link2SD is not installed properly it will give you a warning every time that you run it, so that is very obvious once the nagging stops then it means you have set it up properly.
make sure you have a 2nd partition in your external SD card that is EXT2 or EXT3 or FAT32, i'll suggest minimum 1 GB, but 2GB works best.
If you look in /system/etc/init.c & see 20_readahead the v3 patch was applied.
1. I verified by use Power buttom. There are two new options added (Reboot and Recovery).
2. Yes, this APP2SD is enable.
3. I am now using "app2sd" application to move apps to SD, but not all apps are movable! Is this normal that we cannot move every apps to SD?
4. Is "Link2SD" the same as "app2sd" application? Is there any apps that can directly install all APPs from market to SD?
5. Also, do you have step-by-step how to partition my SD card into two partitions. I do not know how to do this. Please help.

Need help restoring or Fixing my issue.

So Right now I'm have cyanogenmod 7 on my G2x. For some reason I can't use my internal storage. I can install apps, but I try to download a apk from a email(from Amazon) I get a message that there is no SD card.
Is there a ROM that would work with the internal storage to download the apk or if not how can I restore to the default OS.
Thanks.
Edit: got it with this post.

Custom ROM for Q900 based on Stock ROM

Hello friends, today I am here to provide you a more stable and faster version of custom ROM which is based on stock ROM
Please do note that I have removed the Bloatwares already INCLUDING music and video player. So be ready with your apps in your currrent ROM backed up already...
However this ROM does have Google Play Store and Google Play Services installed by default so that you can install all your apps you want and for consistency!
Do the following before installing this ROM:
If your phone already has a ROM installed by default, then it should have all apps and its updates. So back up all that apps to your SD card.
Now backup all your important data in your phone's internal SD card, contacts etc....
You need to have the custom recovery installed to install this ROM. So install the ClockWorkMod recovery.
Now download the ROM from here
Now proceed the steps below
Copy the .zip files to root of SD card and not into some folder
Now wipe data and factory reset
Go to Advanced=>Wipe Dalvik cache
Press back button and choose install ZIP file
Choose install from SD card and locate that downloaded .zip file
Confirm YES
The ROM installation should begin now
Wait for it to complete
After it completes, Choose reboot system
Wait for the mobile to reboot(First boot takes a while which is completely normal)
You should see the home screen now!
Congratulations! You have installed the ROM successfully
