[Q] How much do you usually donate?

I think the title says it all...How much do you guys/gals donate to people who have helped you for real or who have made an app/rom you like and use on your phone?
Sent from here!Boo-yeah!
On average... 3 bucks. I've paid $7-8 for some helpful apps and only 99cents for others.

Nice...Although I don't really care about donating for apps, haven't got to that stage yet!
Thanks anyway man!

For a ROM/kernel I do a $5 donation. For apps, depending on how much usability I get from it but between $1-5.
Sent from the XDA Premium App on my Epic 4G w/ Syndicate Frozen ROM!
Ill pay $10 if someone gives me a nice custom rom for XperiaX10 without the frame limit
I am very thankful too those who donate as I am unable to. I donate my help to those in need when I am able to. Other than that, money isn't something I have available to offer

Well,as far as I'm concerned, giving good help to people who need it,desperately or not,is much better than giving money to others.Especially for rom developers,if you help them do their jobs right(testing etc) and help people who use their roms, you take a big amount of stress off their backs, which is very nice indeed.

I think you'll soon have to donate something...I believe I read somewhere that some guys managed to crack the X10's bootloader. This enables you to boot/flash custom kernels that disable the framerate limit.

1-5 Dollars depending on the APP and how amazing it is lol

trying to help all devs

hello i am new to the forum games and I have a thunderbolt that I am willing to use as a guinea pig for any dev that needs help. I am also a VZW employee so getting a replacement phone is as easy as going to work. I also get my hands on phones a few days before it is released to the public so if you let me what what you want and how to get it and i will do my best
also if i didnt post this in the right place please let me know
I think you'll be okay here. If not, a mod will help.
Thanks! I'm surprised no devs have said anything yet. I would think someone would jump at the opportunity to test something on a phone that they don't have to worry about bricking (or at least not worry about having to pay to replace lol)

don't let any devs talk you into trying out the death ray (flash light)... trust me on that
Ok thanks for the heads up

Devs and Flashers input needed!!

I recently cracked my screen, and have decided that I will probably be picking up the sgs3 when it comes out. I was wanting to get some input about who I could donate my Infuse to. I have enjoyed all the different roms and ports that our devs have put together here, but I don't have a huge amount of excess money to donate. This is the best that I can do.
Let me know if anyone knows a dev that would like a phone to use for development. I want to make sure that it is put to good use.
Thanks, all!!

Yeah, either Big or Nun would be awesome, but i see even Nun has nominated Big to get it, so looks like a pretty solid choice..

Bigfau has done a hell of a lot for the infuse and i don't think he has gotten enough credit for it like he deserves. I don't care if this pisses anyone off but he is the best dev we have had on the infuse hands down. He is extremely respectful to all of us little people and to me that shows something about who he is as a person. Give it to him, he deserves it. If you give it to anyone else, they need to turn around and send it to him.

Little people sounded better than me saying just the Non Dev People. If we have any short people here, i didn't mean anything by it and if i offended you i am not sorry.

Sorry guys! Haven't been keeping up as well as I would like. It sounds like it's pretty much unanimous that bigfau is the man. I will definitely be sending it to bigfau just as soon as I get a replacement. I suspect it will be early to mid-june. Thanks for all the input, and I will contact you about s/h bigjoe. Although, I don't mind paying for it, it is much appreciated!

I think you are a day late. Sounds like the Aeon crew wrangled up an Infuse for Big yesterday.

true. well said lola. if rodero feels his job for cm is done. so he's done and move on with something else. something new. if he wish to do everything, let him. he's working for free btw.maybe by doing something else, can help him generate ideas to fix cm.. why not shoot for it. learning is in everything isn't it. well.. imo.. peace.

Well, the key to learn about everything in the world is to be curious about it. As I've always said, I just do all this things because one day I was curious about it and though "why not giving it a try?" and that is how things start on my life.
Also, I don't think it is good to just stuck to one thing and only work on that since when you are working on something but you feel you cannot get forward by yourself, why stuck there instead of trying something new and maybe learn something new which maybe you could use to fix the first problem? If you don't move on, you'll get frustrated and only then is when you'll abandon the project (does this sound familiar to you? )
Curiosity is the engine of the world guys! If you are curious about something, why not try to make it yourself instead of waiting for someone else to do it for you?
