gps/bluetooth app question - EVO 4G Themes and Apps

Whenever I sync my EVO with the bluetooth with my car (2011 Sonata) audio system, I cam make & receive calls but if I turn on the Sprint Navigation the audio does not work. If I turn bluetooth off, the turn by turn directions come out of the phones speaker.
Does anyone know of an app that will pipe the turn by turn directions through my car audio system via bluetooth?

If I'm not mistaken, you have to go into settings and tell Navigation to play sounds over BT/headphones.

Don't have that option in 2.8. At least I can't find it.

[Q] Dock Audio w/ Mic Enabled

Hello all,
I have searched everywhere and can't find a resolution to my problem. I have the verizon GS3 in an Infuse 4G car dock and am running M2 of CM10.1. I also have a bluetooth headset (Motorola Roadster). Currently, I use Dock Sound Redirector to enable dock audio in the car dock (but keep speaker audio in my desk dock at home). I have the headset paired for phone call audio only, because I prefer my music on my car speakers and not the headset.
Because of this, I am not able to use the headset as a handsfree system at all. It will only enable the mic and route audio to the headset when I dial from the phone. If I attempt to use voice dialer it doesn't work. Another interesting item, when I was running stock and rooted I could use SoundHound to capture the music playing out of my cars speakers. I cannot do this with CM10.1. And even though I could do this on stock/rooted, I still couldn't perform voice actions in Google Now or Voice Dialer.
Sorry for such a long post, and this may not be possible, but in summary I would like to be able to use the bluetooth headset as a mic, at the same time as having dock audio to my car speakers. I would be ok with having phone call audio on the headset, as long as I could use voice commands or google now. Has anyone been able to find a solution to this or have a good setup?

BUMP!!! I'm having a similar issue. Same Dock. I am using Vanilla Rootbox Nightlies which uses CM 10's dock audio feature. I too have a muted microphone and I'm not even trying to use bluetooth. It seems like its trying to find a mic using the usb audio but obviously we just have speakers plugged in. Anybody have answers???
Having the same issue on CM 10.1 and 10.2, but in the AT&T variant of the S3. The bug has been reported, months ago, but isn't getting any traction. You can see the bug report at https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/CYAN-1080. Follow the link and comment, and vote for the bug. Maybe we can generate some interest in fixing it.
[UPDATED] - This Works, but it is very buggy. Sometimes it will recognize the bluetooth mic a couple times in a row. Sometimes it will lock up at initializing, or just pop up blank.
So I have been playing with a couple of different apps, and CM 10.2 has finally resolved the USB audio issues with the gs3. Here is how I have been able to get USB audio to work and use a bluetooth headset for voice commands/google now.
What I used:
SoundAbout ... Try one of the beta versions first to make sure it works on your device (allows you temporary access to the pro features).
Galaxy Dock Sound Redirector
Bluetooth Launch (if you want to change the headset button to start a google now voice search)
InFuse 4g cardock
Motorola Roadster
Settings:
CM10.1 - Go to Settings>>Advanced>>USB-dock Audio and uncheck the box (The setting is missing in CM10.2)
- Also Settings>>Bluetooth select your device's settings, and uncheck media audio
Galaxy Dock Sound Redirector - Make sure it is turned on in the bottom left corner, and "Redirect audio through car dock" is checked. (I keep desk dock unchecked so I can hear my alarm in the morning)
SoundAbout - Under "Bluetooth behavior..." make sure "(Mono) microphone override" is checked
Bluetooth Launch - Scroll down and expand "Google Search". Then select "com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox.VoiceSearchActivity" (I have had some issues with the voice search locking up using this method)
Google Now - Go to Settings>>Voice and check "Bluetooth headset"
Now you should be able to play music, and hear navigation through your car speakers. When a phone call comes in, it will mute the music, and send the audio through your bluetooth. When you press the button on your headset it will launch google now and start listening through the bluetooth mic for your voice command/search. I'm going to put together a better write up, along with my dock and car setup sometime soon!

Just made my way back to this thread, I haven't gotten a chance to try it but I will when I get a chance and report back.
Another Update
I have just noticed that my SoundAbout trial period has ended, but everything is still working the same as before (still just as buggy). This may not be needed, or maybe it just needs to be set once?

Control where sound output goes?

So here's the situation. When my phone connects to my car's bluetooth, it routes all sounds to the car. That's the desired result when talking about Navigation or Music...but here's my problem.
If I change the source of my stereo or I turn it off, the phone is still trying to push audio to the car so I don't hear any notifications.
Is there an app (I am rooted on stock 4.4.2) that would allow me to force normal notifications to always come from the phone..or maybe a per-app setup where nothing went to BT audio unless I set it to do so?

Google maps voice prompts

Hey all. Whenever I'm in my car my phone is connected to bluetooth so I can receive calls. However, Google Maps voice prompts default to bluetooth. The problem is that if I'm listening to FM then the voice does not come through the speakers (this is an issue with the system in my car). In those cases I want to have the voice prompts come through the phone speaker, but I can't find how to change it from bluetooth. It seems that if my phone is connected to bluetooth then I cannot play prompts through phone speaker. Anyone know how to change this?

I think if you go into the bluetooth setting and press the settings button for your car conenction and uncheck media audio it should stop the maps voice prompts being sent to the car. It will also stop you sending music to the car as well though.

Yeah that works thanks. It's not a very good solution tho. I should be able to have my voice instructions go to my phone speakers regardless of whether I'm streaming music or not. And I shouldn't have to change a setting on my UVO to stop it from going to bluetooth. Thanks tho.

[Q] Bluetooth issue - other bluetooth apps?

Hello all
One of the issues I have with Bluetooth on this phone is that the controls aren't granular enough. I want to be able to make and answer phone calls in my car using the Bluetooth connectivity, however, when I turn Bluetooth on, Google Now and Maps also try to send their audio to the car speakers, and either A) you can barely hear the voice, or B) it doesn't work at all and I hear nothing (this is especially true when I'm playing other music media in the car that isn't coming from the phone).
Is there any way (or is there an app) that can redirect Google Now and Maps to continue to use the phone speaker, while phone calls can go through the car? Right now it seems like it's the same setting to control both phone calls and audio output from apps.

Bluetooth headset disable media audio problems

I have a Bluetooth headset that I want only the phone calls to go to and I have the media audio disabled the Bluetooth settings for it. however every time I disconnect and reconnect the headset the media audio still shows disabled yet all the audio gets routed to the headset. I have reset the Bluetooth settings and cleared the cache, and also reset up the headset multiple times and the problem still comes back. the only way I can get it to stop routing media audio to the headset is to each time I connect I have to manually go into the settings re-enable and then disable media audio. Any suggestions? This headset works fine on my pixel to set up that way.

This sounds like a similar issue I am having. This is not necessarily a problem with the device but a setting within the headset.
I usually have my BT Headset going more than 12-hours per day. I want the phone app to speak the callers' name over BT (Earphone mode> speak caller ID). The settings in my BT headset override the settings on the phone. Thus, when there is a phone call I hear, "Call from ###-###-####." No matter what I do on the phone, the headset will override it.
In your case, the headset might have a similar override forcing the media audio to reconnect.
Try contacting the manufacturer and see if you can change the settings in the headset.
Cheers,
