Firstly I have to say ODIN3 1 CLICK does not work on my phone.
I flashed a I9000 rom.. darky's as I remember. then I was swiching to a different rom and the cable got unpluged. My phone would noty respond to anything..but 24 hours later i got it onto the Downloading screen!
the FULL ODIN3 does see the phone and gives me a yellow com port...the odin 1 click does not.
the trouble is I dont know where to find..much less WHAT to look for to fill in the odin3 full.
everyone here in the USA seems to use the ODIN3 1 click and not full odin.
I need help finding:
SELECT OPS:
SELECT IMAGE TO DOWNLOAD (BOOT)
(PHONE)
(PDA)
(CSC)
Select integrate package (ONE PACKAGE)
and what checkboxes to check to get the phone back to a working state.
thank you very much!!

I AM USING ODIN MULTIDOWNLOADER VERSION 4.03
Try this thread:

All you need is the jf6.tar in the pda slot and run Odin.
I'm sure you've tried this but be sure to open Odin 1 click before plugging in the phone

Well unplugged and pulled the battery on the CAP and got it back into DL mode and plugged usb into odin1 click waiting comp.
Immediately I see more progress in that the Bar has appeared on the phone and the computer..along with some file names as they are written to the phone. 10 miunutes later the screen of the CAP goes BLANK..no other changes for the next 10 minutes.. what should I do folks? ODIN is reporting the last file written to phone was factoryfs.rfs
The Phone kept stalling on oDIN.. So I tried a different computer...BINGO! phone fixed!
It has been said and I will concur.

Just started today, I just started using 1.7 after this issue but still no luck.
I have had odin get stuck on factory rfs, someone had it get stuck on sbl .bin earlier. Pull battery let it sit for a while, try again.
Trying another computer if at all possible may be a good idea

That actually worked, except I first tried plugging the phone into another computer while it was in download mode without using ODIN, then I let it sit with the battery out, so I think that did the trick. Thank you ^_^
I flashed a rom, i didn't like it so i wanted to go back to infused. after i flashed infused i got stuck at the infused boot screen, i figured it was bricked. I than opened odin and tried to go back to slock, odin failed. I tried several more times and it failed each time, now i can't even get download mode anymore...all i can get is a screen that shows a phone ! pc.
what can i do?

yes, i've done that several times. As i said, download mode worked at first which is when odin failed, i unplugged and tried again, it also failed. I than unplugged it again but now when i try to enter download mode by using the volume keys and usb i get a little picture on my screen that shows a cell phone and a computer and in between the 2 pictures is a orange triangle with an ! in the middle of the triangle...i think its a hard brick.
after about 12 attempts it worked. for some reason or another all of my usb charger cords seem to be loose within the port, i know this because while its charging it seems to always go off and on. I think it was acting up when i was running odin which is why it wouldn't work. I have already made a replacement report with ATT, i'll call them back up and either cancel the order or talk to them about the charging port.

You should try to make a jig to put your phone into download mode. The sell them at MobileTech.com,but you need one sooner. I think it's 3 100ohm resistors. Google download mode jig, they have a video on how to make one. I bought one for my Captivate and found out it works on Infuse. I use it all the time.

FYI
Phone/PC screen is just like download mode. When you get that screen, unplug USB cable. Launch Odin, plug in USB and wait for COM port to light up in Odin. Flash away after that
Thank you so much Uncle Irish. I've been stressing for the last hour trying to get away from the phone/PC screen so I could flash lol. Works fine and dandy just as you said.
Yeah, the only difference between Phone/PC screen and download mode is:
Phone/PC screen is forced, it's telling you that you're not going to be able to do anything without flashing something.
How long does it typically take to complete the flash...Odin has been working for about 15 min now and the last message in the message list is...
<ID:0/006> SetupConnection
I am trying to flash the all in one ep4d rom...
Paitence is not my style...lol...

Well, it could take 15 mins, but you would see some progress of the green "progress bar" under the top left box. The first steps seem slowest to me.
I just hot home from dinner and this is still the screen I get.
My Odin screen has been like this for the past 2 hours...
Is there any you're of loading bar on your phone? From the looks of it nothing is loading on the Odin screen

No on my phone it is just showing the yellow triangle with the android dude and says Downloading under it...
Try another USB port on you're computer..are you using Front USB port? Also try using Odin 1.82 instead of 1.85

Will it hurt to unplug my phone since the process was started...and yes I was using a front USB port..

It looks like it never actually started to flash anything, so it shouldn't hurt a thing. It's actually incredibly hard to actually brick a Charge, short of flashing a firmware file from a different phone.
I kept the battary in to keep it in recovery mode......Trying Odin 1.82 now...but still looks like it is giving me the same error even in the USB port on the back of my computer...SIGH...
Hmm and u do have the Samsung usb drivers installed correct? Typically you want to use a rear USB port to flash. Honestly if none of the USB Ports are working I would install the usb drivers to another PC install Odin enter download mode and try again...seems like is having problems communicating through your USB port
Sent from my SCH-I510
Yeah...they are installed...It auto installed when I hooked the phone into the computer...
I tried to reinstall and it said they were already installed so I know there are there...
Im seriously afraid to restart this thing in fear it wiped something and is not going to reboot correctly.
I think you will be fine reason being is that your flash never began on the phone. Files should be left untouched. I would close odin, remove battery, place phone back into download mode by plugging in the usb while holding down the volume down button and then put your battery in once download mode is shown restart odin v1.82 try again. You may also try to redownload the ep4d all in one file. File corruption is also a possibility
Got it to finally work...restarted my phone got it back into recovery and eventually worked...thanks for all the patience and help guys...
Awesome glad to hear!
Please help me. My Infuse 4G doesn't boot. All I see was light on the button. This what happened. I want to go back to stock and use [ODIN][UCKE3] Return to stock (Updated 06/08/11) by gtg465x . I right click on Odin and run as Admin. Odin see my phone on a download mode. I select infuse.pit on PIT, PDA in Pda, and Phone in Phone. then click Start. It got stuck at factory.fs (don't remember the name actual name). It stuck there for so long, maybe like an hour. Then I decide to unplug and pull battery out. close the Odin and redo the step again. This time the status bar went half way and then got stuck again. I left it overnight just to see if it's actually finish and it never did. Just stuck there. Turn the phone on and i only see light on the button. Is my phone dead? I can still able to get to download mode but the phone won't boot.
I done return to stock so many times and was successful. This was the first encounter I had where Odin stuck and never complete it flashing.
Try things like reinstalling the drivers, another pc, another usb cable etc.
Thanks. Will try that and also i will try this [ODIN][UCKD5] Odin - Stock (100% or Root+3e) - (Update 06/05/11) since on FAQ #4 seem to be in my case. But if members had other recommendation, please post. thx in advance

Getting stuck on the factory.fs is pretty common here. You might try charging for a bit to see if you can get it to show signs of life. And that link up there^^^(UCKD5 Stock+Root+3e) has worked for me when gtg's didn't. Read the instructions for it carefully as you don't have to check as many boxes. You only need to load the file into the PDA slot. Also if you didn't have the drivers installed your phone wouldn't show up, so that's not your problem (although you could try re-installing them for **** and giggles)...
If THAT doesn't work try Adam's Heimdall one click HERE
If all else fails try a different PC. I had to and it worked like a charm.
Good Luck

I had a similar problem last week I tried on my dads computer, nothing, then went to my computer since my computer had the drivers already on it cuz I used it to put music on my sd card it read it fine and they process went smoothly, so try on a computer that had had it
plugged it in before the problem and if it doesn't find threw phone restart they computer and re put the phone in download mode and try again and keep doing that till it recognizes the phone and it should work then

Some times just trying a different USB port on the same computer will help to. Not sure why but on my laptop the USB port on the right my Captivate did not like for flashing but the one on the left side always worked right.
Thank you all for helping me out. My infuse is now back in business. I use [ODIN][UCKD5] Odin - Stock (100% or Root+3e) - (Update 06/05/11) but this one got my phone to always boot in recovery mode no matter what i did. So i decide to try Heimdall One-Click Back-To-Stock UCKJ4 + Easy CWM install [2.3.6] (FOR AT&T USERS) and then flash LinuxBozo's Defuse 1.5 kernel. Successfully flash it . However after using Heimdall One-Click, ODIN did not see my phone when it's in download mode. Besides that, everything went well.

My phone was acting up so I decided to odin back to stock and take it from there...
However, while odin'ing back (using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1111486) the process stalled at factoryfs or somethin like that so I searched around and found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928191 where apparently the same thing happened. So OP said they unplugged and plugged back in and reflashed and got it working. I tried this, but I can't get the phone back into dl mode or to boot or to even charge I'm guessing. Wtf happened?
The battery was in if it matters for anything
Make sure when your in Odin , and you click PDA , that you right click on cI510_vzw .... that you right click on it and click " extract here" . Then select the PIT file and make sure repartition is the only thing checked. I just went through the same thing 5 mins ago and I have it back up running
Sent from my VS910 4G using XDA
And I had to leave battery out , volume down while plugging in usb to get into download mode. don't forget to put battery back in
Sent from my VS910 4G using XDA
I had everything in odin running correctly I'm pretty sure. Only repartition was checked, the md5 file was the one running through odin. I unplugged it while it was flashing and I can't get back into download mode (holding vol key down) and the phone won't power on.
Don't check the "repartition" checkbox unless you have the PIT file selected. You more than likely wiped out the partition information on the phone when you did that.
And another thing... doing a repartition with the PIT file isn't always necessary, it's only needed a small 5% of the time.
Do you need a good clean download of the EP4D ODIN image?

I believe that Odin stops if you don't have a PIT file and select repartition.
It stopped me several times but I finally got it figured out . It wouldn't flash without a pit file selected with repartition selected

It's time to give Verizon a call and get a replacement.
The short answer is you need to take the phone into verizon and get a replacement. Rule number 1 of Odin is you never unplug the phone while it's flashing. Sorry that it happened. :/

Verizon is not going to give you a brand new phone, unless you're 15 days since you purchase the device. After 15 days, every replacement will be CPO.
haha I learned the never unplug a device while it is flashing with my old ipod video 5g. Funny thing is itunes locked up in the middle of the flash... Dead as a door nail. Damn you crapple.
Glad you got a replacement. I had the same kind of thing happen to me, thought I was screwed. However, I took my sd card out and plug it into a card reader on my laptop. Put the eclipse ROM directly on it and reinstalled card back into my phone. Booted into CWM reinstalled ROM and worked like a charm. Just for future reference it's worth a shot. Or if you just want to keep your phone.
