LATEST FIRMWARE:
I5800XXJPB for I5800 EUROPE (December 2010) - CLICK HERE - Android 2.2 FROYO (pass = samfirmware.com)

i have it already running for some hours now and can say its extremely snappy... no bugs found so far.

linpack = 2.775
quadrant = 324
upgraded from jpa to jpb
rooted with SuperOneClick 1.5.5.

updated from JPA this afternoon.
linpack = 2937
faster than JPA, but it drains battery.... ... similar to JPA hehe

Agreeed kind of eats more battery but fast and no bugs encounter octys app too available but jk1 was just so flawless

Upgraded my i5801 running DDJG6 to JPB..working fine upto now..did any one notice the baseband is JP2? is it supposed to be that?
Rooted using superoneclick and applied adhoc wifi fix..
Media scanning seems faster..looks stable..
Any idea if this is gonna be the final build or are they porting flash 10.1 for the arm6 processor and maybe final build will come with flash?
Sent from my GT-I5800 using Tapatalk

I guess wer never get Flash...

But we can't blame Samsung for that, Adobe must create 10.1 to ARMv6. We just need(as always) to wait
Is there any way to install Flash Lite on 2.2? Because we don't have any flash now, and I can't even watch the stream from megavideo thru skyfire browser :/

Hi,
I allready flash FW I5800XXJPA but for the first time when I flash after rebooting I only see logo Samsung and nothing else I used one package way . So I found other FW is it same but including datafs.rfs file and no boot and sbl files and do it in same way . After flash everything was OK and Froyo works fine . My question is which file I need for flash ??? I know that I need Odin, Apollo_0531 and firmware when I use one package way but the firmware isn't with all files which I'll need . Or all files are there in I5800XXJPA.tar package but I must extract and put them in right places . I mean in columb coled BOOT I put file called X and in columb PHONE i put diferent file . How can I recognise which files where I must put . So if I has my first FW (I5800XXJPA) and there was some boot, sbl, cache, factoryfs, logo, modem ane zImage files where I must put them for right working my phone after flashing .(which columb)
Or can I use datafs.rfs for every FW copying this one from I5800XXJPA to example I5800XXJPB or into older FW or I'll need a diferent datafs.rfs file and where can I found it . Must I deleted boot and sbl files too ??? Please can someone help me ???
PS.: I'm so sorry for my english...

Honestly this thing never happened to me try before without touching the original tar file but remember to hard reset before and after fw flash

OK but when I download FW from xda-developers thread is it un touch or not how can I recognize ??? Or where can i found untouch FW . Thanks a lot...

The JPB tar has all the files..download from sam-firmware.com or the link given in the forums..then just use one package, works fine..no need for separate files.

These are leaked rom builds not custom roms..so they are 'untouched' but can be buggy as its not the final release..hope i interpreted the question right..

This must be your fault, contacts do work for me just perfect. Did you Factory reset during installation? If not, i highly recommend to do so.

Oh i know that is available. But it's just that it has too many issues with it right now: Swype not working, FCs, Crackling sounds in audio, etc. So i wanted to flash a FW that is stable.
So i asked around a bit and found out that JPM is the most stable. But then i saw on samfirmware that they released XWJPF like 12 days back. And i haven't found anyone who has used it so far to get their input. So was just wondering which one to flash.
PS - never flashed a FW before, but been reading enough for the past two days to be comfortable enough to try it.
well i wud suggest u go for i5801 zhjpf......its the only rom which dont have the choppy call bug.

hi
i have used DDJP2 for a long time more than 2 weeks except for the swype not working(i dont use it so im OK) i have faced no problems at all as u have not flashed any rom till date id suggest u try flashing this vie kies and then decide what u want latter on
goodluck happy flashing
@haree
ok thanks...
Just to be clear you are not having the crackling sound bugs at all? Swype i can live without (there is a fix for that too though).
I can't upgrade via Kies coz the internet connection that i have blocks it. But i do have the one package tar file for DDJP2, so i can flash through odin.
But i have read that it is safer to flash without the bootloader, i.e., no chance of bricking it. So i was wondering if anyone has a build for JP2 with all individual files, that'd be great. Or if i can make it using the one package file someway, that'd be even better.
Oh and will flashing with ODIN delete my data or leave it intact??
hi
i dont understand ur internet problem
but if u want to flash via odin read the link given below in detail before attempting anything via odin off ur virus scan while using odin and log in as admin while using odin

just flash it man
the probablility of bricking is as low as burning yourself with a smoke
It didn't boot for me until I flashed JG6 eclair ROM first.
Can't see much difference to JPM.. except that It's missing finnish language. Has all of the slavic languages, though.

we are really going off topic ill delete all the off topic once ur problem is solved
wipe data will not take more than a few mins the same screen will say wipe factory data finished or try pulling out ur batter putting it back(this worked for me once) in and then go to download mode and flash the original 2.1 again if successful then go back in to download mode and flash the 2.2
hope it helps

XXKP7 (Android 2.3.4) Feedback

I9003XXKP7 Android 2.3.4
This thread has run into several pages so I've compiled an FAQ about what we've gathered about this firmware update so far.
1. How stable is this firmware?
A. SamFirmware has confirmed that it is still a beta developmental release and there are some bugs that need to be fixed before we get an official release. You are advised not to flash it unless you know what you are doing.
2. What do I need to do before installing this firmware?
A. You must take a full backup of your phone applications and data. You can use Titanium Backup or MyBackup to do this.
3. Where can I download this firmware?
A. You can download this firmware from one of the following links: Hotfile, MediaFire, Megaupload, Rapidshare. Password: samfirmware.com
4. How do I flash this firmware?
A. You can follow this guide by Misledz or this guide by spacebar2011. It would be best to read both first.
5. Can I root this firmware?
A. Yes, you can root this firmware with SuperOneClick using this guide. You may receive a kernel panic message at the end of the rooting process. In this case, just remove the battery, reinsert and reboot the phone.
6. How do I fix the camera black screen and power button issue?
A. You will need to flash this firmware with the bootloader twice to fix this issue.
7. How do I fix the Sleep of Death (SOD) issue?
A. It has been reported that the phone gets into sleep mode and does not respond on wake up. We are still looking for a permanent solution for this problem.
8. How can I enable SIP in this firmware?
A. Follow this guide to enable SIP.
9. Can I use KIES with this new firmware?
A. KIES doesn't seem to work with this new firmware at the moment.
10. Is it possible to downgrade to Froyo?
A. Yes, you can flash back to Froyo using one of the firmwares in this thread. XXKB3 is generally recommended.
11. Do I need the bootloader while downgrading to Froyo?
A. No, you can flash normally following this guide.
12. How do I fix the camera after downgrading to Froyo?
A. You will need to flash your firmware for Froyo twice in order to get the camera working again.
Post your feedback after testing XXKP7 in this thread.
Thank you. Grabbing now.
downloading...tnx
any feedback?
downloading now.is the method of flashing same as what posted by krazy earlier?
will swab trick work on this ROM??
Thanks for sharing it brother
I've updated the first post to link to SamFirmware's guide. It applies to all firmware versions that they release so I assume that this will be no different. If you're familiar with flashing XXKB3 or any other ROMs, you most likely won't have a problem.
Grabbing now Thanks
I guess its better to update from XXKB3 only!!

It has all files we need inside .rar archive (even odin).
There is APBOOT_I9003XXKP7_CL280937_REV08_eng_mid_ship.tar file inside. As I understand this is new boot. How can it be flashed?
EDIT: I understood. This image contain only boot part from CODE_I9003XXKP7_CL280937_REV08_eng_mid_ship.tar.md5. IE for usual flashing we don't need it.
Im stuck on the same problem aswell, The pit file wont be a problem. But the new Bootloader is what im worried wont let me flash back to Froyo incase Gingerbread is still glitchy

This is the new value pack, i.e new official firmware.
It contains the Al Jazeera widget you were talking about. In addition, it has apps like tquran and prayertimes. It has a new lockscreen and callscreen.
It's perfectly safe to flash it. I got first hand experience.
Just flash it.

i tried that but no luck.....
please help
please help i did everything up to my knowledge i need guidance from experts
in short what i did :
1. installed Pakistan firmware thru Odin (2.3.4 KPH)
2. rooted
3. extract the file from /system/app using root explorer
4. took a copy of the ODEX file also
5. re-flashed my phone from the beginning (not just pda) with XXKPE and from
that to XXKPU
( FYI: didn't work in this either in my previous attempts)
6. rooted
7. copy the .apk and the ODEX file to /system/app using root explorer
8. set permission Rw-R-R for the .apk ( i even tried it as it was)
9. restart (no luck) then DE-ODEXed (still no luck)
10. ????????????

Delete files, please wait ?????

My phone (GT-I5800) is stuck with the above message on screen.
Here is the history.
1 - Flashed XXJPU which was OK
2 - Rooted with Superoneclick which reported OK, but also reported insufficient space to install superuser and busybox.
3 - Went to Play store and downloaded superuser.
4 - Phone hung trying to install superuser.
5 - Pulled battery and phone would not boot. Just stopped at Samsung GT- I5800 splash screen.
6 - Can get into download mode OK so reflashed XXJPU
7 - ODIN reported PASS but phone gets to install screen saying "Delete files, please wait" and just sits there forever.
Hopefully someone can see my errors and help out please?
I always had errors when trying to root XXJPU as well. JPU is quite buggy for me so it might be a firmware problem. Try flashing XXJPS.

I'm using Odin 4.42 and fw from Sammobile.
I place ops package and put fw into the one file box.
Put phone into download mode and connect to PC.
Wait for yellow box then hit start
Odin returns a PASS but when phone reboots it just stops.
I think if I could get to recovery to reset and delete cache I might get some luck but can't get to recovery mode either....
Try using Odin 4.252 because that's the one I use. Download XXJPS from this thread. Make sure you have the right ops file name "apollo_0531.ops". Make sure you open Odin by right clicking and then clicking on "Run as administrator" and in Odin make sure you tick all the boxes EXCEPT the "Debug ONLY" box. Then click Start and wait and see. Also, after the ROM has been flashed the phone should automatically go into recovery and wipe the data and cache so you don't need to worry about that. Apart from what I've mentioned above, there is nothing wrong with your flashing process and everything should go smoothly.
Perfect, thanks for your time. All working normally again now
Can I ask your advice on rooting pls? Is Superoneclick OK to use?
Thanks again
Yes it is fine to superoneclick but I don't think its necessary since rooting itself doesnt affect the phone too much. You would have to root, then flash a custom kernel, add some tweaks/mods etc. to make a difference in performance so it would be much easier just staying unrooted if you are fine with the performance or just flash a custom ROM if you think the stock ROM is slow.
You should try out a CR based on Froyo. They are really advanced and give you all Froyo can give you. Fast phone, long battery live and everything works.

Thanks for the link.... Any more info on this ROM?
Its just the latest android 2.2 update for our phone but its also rooted and deodexed so it saves you the hassle. Google the benefits of deodexing if you have any issues.
Click thanks if I helped.

video recording solution with Modem J4

Good afternoon.
After many headaches and alucine2 by step we 'll post the info the solution to those who have gotten the J4 modem and it does not work the video recording .
First of all say that Samsung is looking increasingly more and now leaves to downgrade Modem (ie failing to test if putting the modem with the corresponding NON - HLOS work) .
Download this file :
Unzip .
It is assumed that if you have this problem is because you have already installed the modem J4 ( look in about , baseband )
You open Odin 3.04
this is important .... you get the battery note 3 .
Metes battery and power key combination , volume and center button unless you walk into dowload mode .
When you enter this mode you press volume more
In odin in PHONE box select the NON - HLOS.bin you had unzipped
You give a start , end and wait for reboot and go.
In the MODEM rar J4 also attached in case you need it.
If you want to install the modem you have to perform the same process described above, first with the modem and then the NON - HLOS .
regards
I made a N9005-2modemsMJ4-RomMJ6.tar.md5 whit both modem.bin and NON-HLOS.bin.
(2modems means two files to one modem. For me must be flashed always together).
Flashed whit MobileOdin, worked very well. (on MO Chainfire call that modem and modem #2).
PS: By Odin3 I think must be also the same, both 2 files inside the .tar.md5

I don't mean to be rude, but I have no idea what the OP is saying here due to the broken English (no offense, OP, you speak better English than I speak French or German or whatever). What exactly is the problem with MJ4 and how does this fix it? Can anyone elaborate further?
I have no video recording issues with MJ4, myself.

Yes but only after tried it very well. I have the Rom MJ7 modem MJ7.
Flashed by Odin v3.09 this modem MJ4 and okay. On Settings/aboutPhone MJ4 alright.
Speedtest.net on 3G ( my card is 3G) download at 12 Mb/s. Not tested 4G.

For me worked well. Try it at Your risk, alright?
Um abraço
I'm also struggling to understand what the op is for. I opened a topic a few data ago about problems with the camera.
I'm hoping the proper of this op is to rectify that.
Can someone explain clearly what the problem is. Thank you

No. It is 0x1 from first day. I'm not trouble whit.
I've found on 2 aosp based roms that the mic gain is very low when recording video, so the audio is very quiet and in mono also, but it's fine on stock Samsung. Is this anything to do with that? I have N9005.
