I've set my hotmail account with server on my HTC legend running on 2.2 ( Superuser, Keep It Simple rom ) .... the problem is , when I send a mail containing an attachment the entire mail is formatted as .eml and no one can read it. I googled it and found this was an issue. Is there some alternative ... can I update the exchange app on my sense ?

Hey guys,

Im guessing that it isnt possible.
Check this app out:

Access all your company's Global Address Book from your Exchange server.
Are you having difficulties looking up a colleague's information? Look no further; this application will give you all the detailed information you need.
Features:
List Entire Global Address Book
Add Contacts to Favorites
This app supports GAL lookups on:
- Exchange 2003
- Exchange 2007
- Exchange 2010
I use corporate address book.
It's free and works!

My girlfriend has a HTC Wildfire that she has had for some time. We want to install Cyanogenmod on it because she has been having some problems with the stock ROM. Unfortunately (not being very techy) she has managed to make a complete mess of her contacts in HTC's "People" app. Most are stored on the phone, some on the SIM, some on Google and then the rest are Facebook for HTC contacts. Is there an easy way to unify all these contacts as I would like to back them up before rooting and installing CM on the phone?
Ideally I would just like to make them all google contacts so that if she changes from HTC in the future we don't have an issue getting the contacts off again.
Many thanks.
try pim backup
I had this to on a HTC Legend from my last workplace. I also used exchange to syncronize job mail etc. Some contacts merged without my doing and turned out complete fail.
My resort was to arrange all my contact as i wanted them on my gmail account through my PC and only allowing facebook syncronize the existing contacts. I also stripped the syncronizing with exchange to only download e-mails.
Now I have a working system that automaticly functions even on the new phone I bought when I quit my job.

right about the framework! therefore maybe it could be done, but not economically!
HTC rely on the +Rosie+ Framework.
Suggestion; Use K9 mail, Maildroid or other email clients
