I'm on hour 7 of trying to flash the TNT Lite 2.2 on a new Gtab.
So far I've:
Rooted with z4 Root.
Installed Rom Manager and did a Flash clockwork Recovery. This worked.
When I start up holding the ^ button it looks for a new recovery kernel and then goes to an exclamation mark.
I have also tried Reboot to Recovery in Rom Manager and it does nothing.
How do I finish this off and get this Rom installed???

You can't yet use Rom manager to flash clockworks on this... it says it was successful and it makes rom manager happy But heaven knows where it flashed it as it wasn't to the recovery partition... still need to flash bekit's .8 version as described here...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=844088
I installed Clockwork .8 and unzipped. Showing the update.zip and recovery folder on root. Restarted with ^ volume and still getting an exclamation mark with an instant restart.
Did you check the recovery folder to verify a command file is present?
It Works !!!!
Had to move the update.zip and recovery file from the subfolder over to the root.

Installed the Clockwork Recovery ( I'm assuming it installed correctly..). Then went to power it off & back on again to install the Vegan Rom and i get a white exclamation symbol and then it reboots to the original stock rom...HELP
AM I doing something wrong?
The exlamation mark means standard recovery - your update didn't work.

Sounds like Clockwork Recovery was not installed. So when you went to install Vegan, the stock recovery did not see the /recovery/command file(only needed for the stock recovery, not clockwork), so it basically is saying "I'm not supposed to flash anything!" to you.
I had to take the micro SD card from my phone and put the cm v.08 setup stuff on that. Did you follow the CM install instructions to the letter? I went from the stock ROM and recovery to CM recovery and vegan ROM in about 15 mins.

Load on a SD card then try again - may want to try a standard config boot load without clockwork as in TnT lite directions
When I select backup Rom in ROM manager, it reboots and i get a screen with an exclamation mark with an android bot. Same thing happens when I try to get into recovery with power on + volume up button.
But when I select reboot in recovery from rom manager it works and i was then able to take a back up from there.
What do i do ? Current and latest clockwork version are same according to rom manager. I updated it twice using ROM manager to make sure its the correct one

Tried it. Nothing happens. Have to take battery out. But I can still access recovery by rebooting in recovery from rom manager
Try installing it from the bootloader.
Name the image file recovery.img
Put it in the android sdk tools folder(or wherever your fastboot.exe is) and run the command -
"Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
Then reboot, it should work.
The android with a "!" is the stock recovery. You don't have to pull the battery at that screen, just press hold power button, then press volume up, you should end up in stock recovery.
In ROM Mgr, FLASH clockwork recovery (twice for good luck, seriously) before trying to boot/backup from ROM Mgr. That should get you going.
The fastboot flash method mentioned above also works.
Part of your issue is that there's a file called /etc/install-recovery.sh that overwrites clockwork recovery with the stock one every time you boot up normally. Rename/delete that file and clockwork will stick after that.

I have found if you to flash Clockworkmod recovery from Rom Manager and you already have the same version, it will remove it all together.
just reboot your phone and run the recovery installer once. Right now, it should be version 3.0.0.5. After you run it. Reboot your phone -> hold power + up (or down don't remember) -> select recovery.
If it is there, you should be able to get to it from the Rom Manager link also.

I installed once again. It said no recovery or image found. Installed again, could go into clockwork recovery but after rebooting again the same
renaming install-recovery.sh in etc folder worked Now can I go into clockwork recover on every boot
OK, so I was in the process of trying to flash Infused V2 beta 3, and just downloaded the 3e recovery and put it in system/bin and rebooted and all was good, was trying to install CWM from ROM Manager. ROM Manager said it sucessfully installed CWM 2.5.0.1 or whatever the latest version is. I decided to try to reboot into recovery from within ROM Manager and now I'm stuck at the Samsung logo. What do I do?

hold the three button combo till it reboots and let go when you see samsung. (power and both volumes)
if that doesnt get you into recovery(3e blue recovery once here you reinstall packages twice) then hold three buttons again but let go when the screen goes black. if the phone doesnt boot it is in a semi brick situation . likely a premission problem or a corrupt recovery file.
odin may be needed to flash the phone.
a voodoo kernel like "defuse" may fix it as it will redirect the phone to cwm recovery not 3e (get the .tar file not the .zip file) it will do a voodoo conversion you will hear robot voices and it may take 10min so dont jump to conclusions.
if the kernel doesnt work then flash the unbrick package.
Well I just used odin to get me back. Thanks.
Ok now I have another problem. I just noticed that every time I reboot the phone, Handcent SMS basically reinstalls itself or something. Any setting or theme changes I make don't stick when rebooted. Any ideas? Man I'm angry. All I want is to flash Infused V2 Beta 3!
EDIT: and Tango does the same thing. I'm sure others will do it too, just havent reinstalled everything yet

FYI, I'm trying a factory reset right now
Factory reset got me back to... well... factory unfortunately
When I hold Power and Vol Down I get the text prompts, I hit Vol Up promptly and get the Android with gears turning animation for about 10 seconds, then get the Android with the warning triangle and can't go any further.
Any Suggestion? Tablet is a B80, rooted via Nachoroot. I have an SD card in the microSD slot.
I have Clockwork Mod (reboot into recover does a normal reboot) and Gnufabio's Reboot2Recovery (which ends with the Android and the warning symbol). It is my understanding that Rom Manager can't update the bootloader, so I haven't even tried.

Are you sure you have CWM? Have you installed it?
When reboot to recovery doesn't load CWM is usually because CWM is not installed.

Let me clarify. I have ROM Manager, and yes it's installed. I can't install a 3rd party Recovery because the bootloader is encrypted. It's a new Transformer (B80 s/n), not one of the older ones.
I am unable to boot into the stock recovery by any of the methods listed in the OP.

ROM manager doesn't do anything for the TF. Just because you have ROM Manager install doesn't mean you have cwm recovery install.
You need to install CWM recovery as suggested by AzureusPT.
Go on the theme and app section and look for RecoveryInstaller. That will help you flash cwm.

Thank you!!!!
I cannot boot into recovery. I used a rootkit to unlock my bootloader and root my phone. TWRP worked fine when i tried it out for the first time and than i forgot about it. Today I tried to access it and it would not work. When I try installing TWRP from GooManager it just says it will download but it never does and then after a while the app shuts down. I tried flashing clockwork mod recovery from Rom Manager and it downloads all the way and than says that a problem occured. Can somebody please help me with my situation. When I press the power button and the volume down button and it brings me to the bootloader and i navigate to recovery, it just brings an android guy with a red triangle. please help me. I just want a custom recovery. I don't care what it is. Either TWRP or clockwork mod.
UPDATE: I figured out I lost root access so I rooted again and I now an successfully rooted but I still do not have a recovery. I tried to boot into the stock recovery but it will not work. It just shows a red triangle. So than I got TWRP Manager and tried to install TWRP from there but it still will not work.
UPDATE: I got Rom Manager and I looked in it and it said that I still had TWRP when I really had no recovery. So than I saw the option to get ClockWork Mod Recovery. I clicked on it and it installed successfully! So if you are having this same problem. Good luck to you. I hope what I did works for you.

Glad you got it sorted. For future reference, that android guy with the exclamation is stock recovery. You have to press vol up and power to get the menu to come up.
