Every time I try to go to the yahoo webpage or check my email it sends me to the gtab home page. My gtab has been flashed to tnt lite.
I couldnt get the email function built in to tnt 2.2 to work with yahoo but they have an app for yahoo
The yahoo mail app from the market works very well even for multiple accounts.
On this stock gTablet, both the Yahoo Messenger access to Mail and the Web browser work well. Never a hiccup since buying the unit last month.
how do I get the tablet to show the full market because its showing a limited market as of now? I am running tnt lite?
TnT lite v2.20 vs TnT lite 2.0
Is there a difference or a preference between TnT lite 2.20 and TnT lite 2.0??

A mobile version it coming soon too it says.

Are there any roms/ports 1.6 or above with exchange support? (contacts, mail, calendar)
I love the maps nav but couldn't live without Exchange unfortunately. One day when we switch to only blackberry *shudder*.
I'm interested too, it's a pain having to choose between 1.6 goodies and exchange support. Mail works on 1.6, but calendars and contacts don't as far as I know.
i'm yet to find a rom higher than 1.5 that has full exchange support.
they all seem to do either mail only or mail and contacts, but not calendar.
it's one of the reason i still use a cupcake rom.
i moved up to a donut rom and tried to get by without calendar, but it was just too frustrating.
Anyone having issues syncing FB contacts to "join" I was able to do this on 2.2.6 but not 2.2.7 Only one FB contact gets to the phone. Got to be something I am missing.....
Mine hasn't been working for the last two days. On Cog 2.1.6.
I have not been able to do it the past few days either on Cognition beta 8.1 or beta 9
Actually, on cog2.2b9 this is the first time the facebook sync has worked for me.
I have the stock email program working with exchange but I can't get Touchdown to work. I would like to get it up and running since it can handle HTML emails. When I try to activate ActiveSync it just hangs forever.
Thoughts?
I have the same issue as well. It worked for me by bypassing ActiveSync and just letting it setup Exchange 2003 mode. Trying to get ActiveSync working now.
On the plus side, it appears that Touchdown has a tablet optimized view akin to traditional Outlook.
Same here, activesync appears to be broken
IMEI
There is another thread floating around that discusses this issue...
I believe the problem with TouchDown is that it tries to send the IMEI of the device to the ActiveSync server. This is hard coded into the application, and causes problems since the GTab doesn't have an IMEI.
TouchDown support said their developer will "be in" next week and will look into the issue - their current "official" response is that WiFi-only tablets aren't supported. Who knows when we'll see an update, though.
Exchange 2003 polling is very slow and buggy, and I was only able to get it to sync my contacts (not email). I'm using the default email client until TouchDown is updated...
Please move this conversation over to the following thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=851002
There appears to be a beta that resolves the IMEI issue. TouchDown support seems to be responsive on this issue, and it would be productive to consolidate everything into one thread.
Alternative
I've been using "Moxier Mail" instead of Touchdown for a long time... Works great on Gtablet too.
Only real limitation is only works with a single Exchange account.
The touchdown beta works
If you go to the google groups for nitrodesk you can find the Touchdown beta. They have fixed it and it works fine on the gtablet. They do have a tablet mode, but it needs work. Not as polished as the original view and needs a bunch of quirks and UI things changed,
Regarding vegan rom... is it possible to add in an exchange email account? every time I try to add it, it wont let me finish the setup.
TIA!
Any luck yet?
Have you updated to the 5.1.1 w/supplement? Connecting to my Exchange server was much easier after the 5.1.1 update.
Prior to the update, my setup would fail during the initial setup of my email address and password. I could get past this by hitting the back button, which would then let me get to the advanced setup. I could then define my domain, username, and webmail server.
I'm using Touchdown by Nitrodesk and am happy so far. I just started running vegan a few days ago.
Exchange has always worked for me with the stock email app. Where does it stop? do you get an error message our does it just not move to the next step?
Outlook Web Access (OWA) has worked fine right out of the gate on mine. Granted, OWA doesn't permit all the Bells & Whistles but allows the basic needs.
TnT Lite 4.2.2 and VEGAn 5.1
I've had it working on the mail client on both ROMs. What error do you get and what version of Exchange? I've connected to both 2007 and 2010.
