I'm on an HTC Incredible
Redemptive rEVOlution ROM 3.30651.2
Removed a few more bloatware apps and ran into a minor problem...
Which of these disabled apps...

Resulted in these appearing in my list of available widgets? They look to be related to rosie launcher
To get rid of those go to Settings -> Applications -> All -> HTC Sense and clear data. You will lose anything you've put on your homescreens. AFAIK that's the only way to get rid of those.
Its not that those are appearing, its that something used to be in those spots. Have you tried a data wipe?
Also, if talk.apk is google talk, you want to put that back on there. In messes with sync and causes all sorts of other issues when disabled/removed. If you're wanting less "sense bloat", run senseless revolution. Or the latest cm nightly. Prob want to stay away from removing system apps unless you have a clear understanding of what you're doing, and what may result.

Cool Guys, thanks for the advice BUT...
It's over 2 weeks since I removed all that stuff, and the phone seems to funtion perfectly without the Talk.apk (yes, it's Google talk) GPS Nav werks fine, both of my mail accounts sync as they should, I'm not missing any text messages, etc...
AND, I'm not trying to be difficult, but those widgets were not there previously. The first one in my list was Analog Clock before I removed stuff.
So if I do what you guys suggested, the data wipe, I'll just need to re-add my widgets and apps to the screens? that's it?
Thanks again

Custom Clear Lockscreen -- Tutorial Soon
FIRST ATTEMPT
I've made my first custom lockscreen... I hope to put up a tutorial to
help others achieve the same "look." The best thing about this custom
lock screen vs. others I have seen is that it still allows for music apps,
notifications, etc to be used easily.
I also attempted to add the live wallpapers fix (w/o opengl) to this zip,
but unfortunately failed... If anyone wants to take a look and let me know
what I've done wrong that would be great!
I choose Purdue as it is my favorite college team/future university.

Nice! I applied it, also seemed to update my taskbar and rosie bar? You may want to note that.
I reapplied my Themed zip, so I got my taskbar and rosie back the way it ws before.
I will rock this lockscreen for a while, thanks!

Thanks! I'll take a look at it, and make sure to remove that
Well, not ported as they already mostly worked, just fixed a couple of hiccups. Nothing very clever going on here, but may be of interest to some folks.
As per request in another thread, I've fixed the Desktop Home app for the Samsung Vibrant so that the one thing that doesn't seem to work properly, the "Alarm" button, is now ok.
You can grab the APK from:

}
I've also partially fixed the Vibrant Car Home app so that the icons are centered and the "Contacts" link works. The "Search" button doesn't seem to do anything and it seems to be hit & miss as to if you get a "Browser" icon or a "Voice Search" icon as pictured below. It may be a compatibility issue with the JME firmware I'm running, I'll have a play later. Anyway, you can grab the .APK from:
http://db.tt/qN07wwk
The app is incredibly no-frills, there's no other settings or options whatsoever other than what appears on the screen. I'd suggest using the Car Home v3 app from the market instead, although this one does look pretty.
The apps don't lock the screen on either so are probably not terribly useful without an actual dock.
If I can decipher the decompiled smali code some more, I'll replace the "Search" icon with a "Music" one. Changing the app an icon runs is easy, implementing it when it's not already doing something is less so.
Well, Since I havent seen this here yet (Maybe I missed it) I thought I would share it with everyone.
Google has just started rolling out an update to the Android Market 3.1.3. Aside from a few slight aesthetic changes, the two main features include the ability to +1 apps and password protect (PIN lock) your Android purchases.
The addition of the +1 button allows you to, obviously, nab +1 apps in the Market while the PIN number feature allows you to securely set up a PIN number for purchases on the app store.

I have installed it and love it and works great and just thought I would share it with everyone that doesnt yet have it or want to wait for the automatic update (If our heros on custom roms will actually update automatically I don't know).
NOTE: Unless you are updating from v3.0 or higher you may need to uninstall the old market updates in order for this to install.
To do so, go to settings/applications/manage applications. Then tap on "all" scroll down to "Market". Tap on the app and select uninstall updates. Once you have done this then go ahead and install the app below.

Enjoy.
Wow, The more I mess around with this and update apps I really like the changes and it seems to be faster too. +1 for Google!
This version definitely seems much snappier! Thank you for sharing
Hi Everyone. I got a new account but I've visited this site lots of times now in about 4 years.
First of all, I would like to thank all the developers here especially to Tkkg1994 for developing the superstock rom on the galaxy s7.
I have installed it on my phone and works great! I would like to ask if anyone else is encountering this problem on this ROM? The samsung contacts app(stock) keeps crashing if I go to "settings". I wanted to export my contacts from here.
I have tried reinstalling about 8 times now with different options and settings (tried stock kernel, tried superstock kernel, tried installing all samsung and google apps, tried with/without adblocker, tried with/without busybox). Would appreciate any help or info on this. Thanks XDA!
Regards,

Looking for a fix.
I also noticed after the recent update that my contacts keep closing when trying to enter the settings. Wondering what it is and looking forward to a solution.
Did you get this fixed?
I fixed it by manually installing a newer Samsung Contacts app. Just Google "Samsung Contacts apk", download a newer version (I downloaded the latest 3.1 that was newer than what was on my phone).
Drop the apk in /system/priv-app/SamsungContacts80, set the permissions on the new file to RW-R--R--, add an underscore to the end of the old original Samsung Contacts file so that you have a backup of the original file that is not used, then reboot.
Voila! Everything is fixed.
Clean app data
I just got a new S8+. Great phone. I've been busy setting it up, and suddenly I noticed all my app icons have weird white lines around them. This is not the "icon borders" that can be turned on and off, this is something super weird. (see screenshots)
Even more strangely, the line-drawn-box doesn't appear around every app icon. Netflix, Chrome, Firefox, and some other apps are "spared".... but most apps icons have this weird icon around them.
I'm using Holo Launcher, but it happens with the stock TouchWiz launcher, and in the default theme. I checked accessibility and I don't see anything turned on in there.
Anyone know what this is and how to fix it?

After some more digging, it seems to be a bug between Samsung Themes and third party launchers like Holo and Nova.
I was able to fix the icons by setting to default theme, then going to settings - apps - app manager - holo launcher, deleting both cache and data, then force quitting Holo.
If i change the theme, the problem comes back.
Unfortunately, activating "max battery saver" enables a theme and triggers the problem.
Yes, seems the Samsung OS is sensitive to icon framing and other corruption from non-Samsung sensitive theme'ing.
