QWERTY Remocon for tab? - Galaxy Tab Themes and Apps

Dear Tab:ers, I hope someone can help me out. I know the application "QWERTY Remocon is available in a special version for the tab.
However, in my region it's not available thru samsung apps.
Could someone have mercy on me and grab it from your tab using astro file manager?
I really miss this functionality since I switched from my ipad, where, oddly samsung has made it available in the app store.
Feels weird being on a samsung device that offers less compatability with other samsung products than the ipad.
Thanks in advance!

Any updates on this? I am also looking for the qwerty remocon for my UK unlocked TAB.

Same here. Like I said on another thread I have the one for Galaxy S, but there are some glitches.

You can try this, i backup the app with ES file explorer

Nice, it's working. Thank you.

does any one have the new version 1.2

what is it?

Is Samsung TV Remote application you need? (in description they call it TV QWERTY Remote Control Application). Then it is in the bottom of list

I guess so, the tab dosnt have a IR sensor, new samsung TVs must have bluetooth

I think, it works via DLNA. So u need wifi module or lan on your Tv

[ENQ] Is there anyway the Leo can control my PC via bluetooth?

Not sure whether it feasible I am thinking of buying ASUS Eee Box EB1501 N330 250G/2G RAM and would liketo use my 52 Inch bravia as a monitor and what ideally would like to do is to be able to control my asus through my Leo.
Is it feasible via bluetooth or it has to be done through remote desktop that comes with the phone?

Does the paid version work with winamp? I've used the trial version and it can't control winamp. I want to use it so i can use my phone as a remote.
Niceness
Tried to find something like this, but nothing seemed to work.
But this program is brilliant. Working and good respons between device and pc.
I can control winamp in the demo, so I dont think thats the problem.
Thumps up from me, a program there is worth paying for.
/ Jens Christian Husted
The one i installed was downloaded from 'freeware pocket pc' so maybe it was an older version. I'm gonna try the one direct from their site instead.
yeah I must second the GRemote software as being the best one to control your pc, it works flawlessly via bluetooth and is the best piece of remote software available for WM. I tried Salling Clicker before, as this also has an Apple client, but unfortunately it doesnt even come close to GRemote when considering functionality and ease of use. Definitely worth getting yes!
Truly excellent peice of software!!!
I am doing the exact same thing as you, exept I bought a Di Novo Mini from Logitech.
Gonna DL this now and give it a go...

I don't know who that us.
(said in a Brian Butterfield voice).
I'm assuming it allows you to remotely control your phone. If that's the case then you want the excellent MyMobiler from http://www.mymobiler.com/
Alternatively, you may be asking to remote a PC from your phone. For that, you want Remote Desktop, which comes with the device.
It's better than a box!
(said in a Brian Butterfield voice).
PS. If you don't know who Brian Butterfield is, look for him on YouTube
Actually, I've google for it and see what it is now, and it's neither of the above. (You should still look up Brian Butterfield though )
A similar app exists on xda somewhere, so I'm sure that someone will be able to point you in the right direction. I can't remember what it's called though, so I can't help
I think this should suit your needs...
http://www.mobilesrc.com/mobileremote.aspx
I get there in the end
Thanks for the reply... i've seen that one.....(i may just get it anyway) My pc is just a media server, which is hooked to to my TV, All i want to be able to do is access my Music over my Network via my phone without the need to have the TV on.
I can see why you got that app now (after a search) use this search string in google and choose the top link "apple itunes remote" that will give you the software i was on about..
Okay, I get what you're after now (this thread has turned into an archive of "remote" apps! lol)
You can do this with VLC and this...
http://sourceforge.net/projects/vlcremote/
I don't know of any that control iTunes, but I wouldn't imagine you want something specific to an Apple product on a Windows device, so I'm guessing that VLC will be good enough for your needs.
Hope this helps
Cheers matie... I don't use i tunes... just windows media player....
I did find this alloysoft.com but just looking to see if it will run on the HD2 (winmo 6.5) ...
You need "1-2 Remote" (http://www.sfr-software.de/12remoteen/) It interfaces with your itunes and WM player. I use it myself. Very good prog.
Cheers
Also, check out G-Remote - very simple remote for XBMC, WinAmp, or an other program in a sexy(ish) interface!
What makes it stand out for me is that you can browse your music/videos on your PHONE, click play, and it launches on the PC.

App Request-- Air Mouse?

Ok so theres an iphone app called air mouse. What it does is use a server on your PC that allows your iphone to control your pc. Its like the Laptop mouses. It also has a keyboard that lets you type. So its basically a mouse and a keyboard. I find this very usefull when i use my old computer (Windows Xp). But i havent found an app like that for android. Anyone Know how to make an ipa file into an apk file? This would be super useful for android users who have a faulty mouse or like laptop style mouses more..

PRemoteDroid works well. You need a small exe on your PC as a server, and you can either use it over Wifi, or bluetooth (although I haven't tried it)
Also, slightly related, but mostly not, try VLC Remote if you want to use your phone to play/pause/skip and edit playlists through VLC player. I use that all the time now!!
Somebody had already asked this in this section before. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=490775

PhoneMYPC... great app... check it out
I use RemoteDroid. Works like laptop mouse and has keyboard. You just need to start an Executable Jar File on your PC and it gives you an IP address that you type in on you phone. It only works over Wifi but what more do you need
I can highly recommend it.
RemoteDroid can be downloaded from the market and the Jar file from their website (ht tp://w ww .remo ted roid .ne t/) (I'm new user so I used space in the URL to post it)

Looking for App to connect external Garmin GPS to Android tablet

Hello,
I am looking for an Android app (and/or driver) that allows me to connect an external USB GPS (Garmin GPS Map60CS) to a standard 7" tablet (Android 2.1), which has USB host capabilities.
The purpose of this is to be able to upload/download tracks and waypoints to/from my GPS while travelling. This would be great because would enable me to travel without laptop but tablet !
As an example, there is a similar solution for Windows CE phones and serial GPS´s, which I have used many times: G7toWin
http://www.gpsinformation.org/ronh/g7towin.htm
Another solution would be to connect a USB-to-Serial dongle to the tablet, and (hopefully) this could be connected by RS232 to the Garamin GPS. But an app is needed anyway.
If someone can point a solution or suggestion, I would be very happy.
Thank you very much.
Sorry for opening an old thread, but did you find any solution?
ciao

Hi
I'm trying to get my GPSmap 62 work as a mass storage for my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 using an OTG cable but that just doesn't seem to work. Did you do something special to get your Garmin and Android to do that? Such as rooting or using some special file manager app.

I'm pretty sure that my android (then) was rooted. I use "Total Commander" and in the options you need to let it have root function all around - but other apps like it will also work.
Haven't used it with my 'new' phone cause haven't had the time to play with it (even after 6 month :$)
Hello,
I thought people in this thread might like to know that I made an app that can transfer waypoints and tracks in both directions between an Android device and Garmin GPSMap 60Cs. I'm currently trying to find out if there are more people interested and if so then I'll add support for more Garmin GPS models and publish the app.
Here's my original thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/transfer-tracks-waypoints-to-garmin-gps-t2858387

[Q] DLNA for WP7 - Please!!!!

I would pay a premium price for a good DLNA streaming application for my WP7. Anyone writing one??
There is the DLNA app for LG devices.
Somewhere on this forum someone has cracked them to work on all other devices, so you could try searching for that?
Isn't DLNA hardware based with software ? If I understand it correctly, you need hardware AND software to enable DLNA

DLNA is a protocol - its a superset of UPNP.

Thanks, but I`m not interested in cracked software or jailbreaking devices. I want a "proper" application available on the marketplace.

In that case you won't get it until at least mango, as there is no support for sockets
Link Cabinet for IS12T (Fujitsu-Toshiba)
Recently released IS12T have DLNA function which called "Link Cabinet".
I predict its function by concidering existing Toshiba's other smart phone or MS's official DLNA client applications :
And I investigated IS12T on au's showcase, I found "Link Cabinet" seems to be DLNA rendering application.
au commited they won't enclose their own application (Japanese carier offtenly try to exclude other users by original features), so the Link Cabinet might be released for general.
please refer : uhs.doorblog.jp/archives/52652876.html
I'd love to see a DLNA app, too. I'm running Mango, and would be happy to test one out. Now that Mango is close, I hope someone will step up and suggest they've got a solution.
i would love to see it built in, as well in zune software.

I searched in zune for this app and could not find it. Are you sure of its name?
I have an LG phone. The DLNA app is called "Play To". And according to LG, it is "strongly associated with Windows 7 (desktop)". So that means it will not stream to anything else, including xbox, blu-ray players, etc. -Almost- useless.
Hopefully Mango allows for a proper robust DLNA application.
