LocationFree for PPC

Ok - I am looking for some way to run Sony's LocationFree on my PPC. There used to be a solution called NetFront LocationFree Player, but it is no longer being sold. Even the places that say they have it - don't.
Is there any other frontend software that I can use. I don't want to changes solutions completely (aka Slingbox or Orb) since I use my PSP heavily with this service.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. (Or if you know where I can buy that software would work too!) Thanks!

Well you guys should checkout ORB.COM. Its easy, free!, and does everything.
It turns your PC into a server (location free) that just runs in the background.
works perfect on my tilt!

There has been a whole load of LFPK1s being sold off recently for £25/$20 by Staples USA and PC World/Currys in the UK, making it a bargain.

I am not sure if I can post it on the forum, or about it's legality. I don't see how it would be a problem since it apparently is abandonware now.
If I get the go ahead from XDA I would happily provide the cab.

the cab actually wont help because there is no way to get a serial. trust me on this. ive even emailed netfront/access about it. serials only work on one unit and no one who uses this is giving up their code.

I'm a little confused. All the media that I want like pictures and videos, I can easily put right on my phone. The only reason I would want Orb would be to stream my cable tv. After spending the money on a decent tuner card, I could have just bought a Slingbox. What are the advantages of Orb?

i do not want to use orb as it means having my pc on all the time,
i would like to use my locationfree player as it works so well with my psp.

Remote Connection

I've flashed my phone with the .405 euro firmware however seem to have lost remote desktop, does anyone know where this will be or how I can find the cab and reinstall it?

The real windows remote desktop is definitely best because windows will scale all your windows and is really responsive, however you may have concurrent login issues if you try to use your pc at the same time!
The other is more like VNC where you view an existing login, however that then begs the question why not use a mobile VNC program as it's well established and more supported. I'd say the good thing about omnipresence is it attempts to use touchflow navigation concepts but at the moment the response is slow, could be good in the future though.

That might explain, that when I try and remote onto my PC it tells me the UN or PW is incorrect. (I know it isn't).. Is this because I'm logged in?

It should log you out on your pc when you try to connect i think

How did you have to hack Vista plz.. I'm also using that OS, so might be the same problem?

I'm useing RDM+ instead from Shape service.
Much simpler and no need to configure and firewalls.. downside is that it aint free. But then again it's a one time fee, all other upgrades are free.
lots of functions too like file upload and download. And the person that is online dosen't get log out.
Imo it's a really good application.

Again either using RDT or Logmein.com , It says user name or password incorrect.
I know its not, coz thats what I use to log into the system!!!
Any ideas, this is a real puzzler1

you have to put some files into system32 and edit some registry...you can find ti via google

Video Editing

Hi.
Loving my new HD2 and have everything that my friend has on his fruity 3G-S that I want except for... Video Editing.
So, i'm looking for something basic: crop, paste, titles etc similar to what other phones have. I used to have a similar program on my S.E. K750 so it must be possible.
The only thing I've found so far is a program called 'traxAx' (which sadly doesn't support the HD2's screen res).
Freeware would (obviously) be preferable, but will pay if the software is worth it.
Any ideas anyone?

I would like something like that but its not easy to find. I hope someone help with ideas.

Hi.
Yeah, sorry I already found that one (I put traxAx instead of trakax). It is indeed VGA but not (i assume) WVGA. I installed it and the program said that my 'display resolution wasn't compatible' or something similar.

Ok... I have found a possible cab for the video editor ripped from the omnia. I'll download, install and report back ASAP.

Update:
Installs into windows directory, but won't let me run the program. I assume it's the one labelled 'mve'. It says that that either its not signed or a component cannot be found.

Trying to find a usable (preferably free) torrent client for my Nexus One. I've tried AndroidTorrent, but for the life of me I can't figure it out. I searched the Market and only saw ABTC. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Not looking for one that acts as a remote to my desktop's client, but one that allows me to do BT via the phone.

torrent-fu worked for me using uTorrent, although i havnt set it back up since i rooted

Are you on T-Mobile? If so you will probably have a hard time getting it going since T-Mobile blocks Bit Torrent both upload and download. Otherwise don't know what to tell you lol. Also may I ask why you might need to be constantly draining your battery to download some bit torrent files on your phone? Surely being able to remotely queue and download to your desktop client would be the better option.

Incorrect. I use WMtorrent on my TP2 and its works like a charm both upload and download are fully connectable according to my tracker. Also I've seen my usage go over 5gb's before with no issue. I do have an employee plan but I don't see that having any effect.

Why Torrents
If you are just looking to download music, try iMusic Tao. You can download individual songs straight to your phone. I also purchased aBTC and am not impressed. iMusic Tao is much better.

why would you want a torrent for your phone? makes no sence. just download the torrent files from your computer to your SD card. if the files are video, just convert them. as far as mp3 files go there are plenty of apps in the market that allow mp3 downloads. for example i use "I MUSIC" for my mp3 download needs.

Wireless File Sharing?

Before I got my HD2 i had a Nokia N95, for that i had a piece of software called SymSMB, which allowed my phone to appear on my pc as a computer in my network, it meant i could then drag and drop files between any folders or drives that i wanted to share.
I was wondering if there is anything like this for the HD2 floating around.

Closest I got to anything similar was a remote access app i found on here some time ago. If you search the threads you should find it.
Gave you access via browser to all files and folders, can stream video/audio and move files about. Also in beta version you could remote desktop (or remote mobile?) and control it for specific function (used it to help a friend one, needed a few tweaks in his registry ) Sorry, cant remember who made it but im sure it was free.
