Does the stock firmware (or any custom firmware) support the standard android AP/hotspot functionality? Anyone know what wifi chipset is in the G Tablet?

Is it possible?
I've tried to flash my device with the CDMAWorkshop 2.7 but there are no EVDO tab and some other features. I can't find any newer version with full functionality. like 3.6 or 3.8. Demo versions can not write PRL's and EVDO/CDMA settings.
qpst 2.6.366 can't flash this modem too. Is there any way to downgrade CDMA firmware without any brick?
How do you differentiate a Wi-Fi model from a 3G one? I just flashed a Wi-Fi variant over my 3G model, and now the phone is missing.

buddy its simple there is a sim card slot on 3g model but not on wifi...
And on flashing you didn't get any phone option bcoz wifi model firmware do not have any module for calling(gsm utility) like phone.apk etc...

1- As i understand you have the 3g model and flashed a rom made for wifi model and didi not find any phone functions it is normal as this rom you flashed made specifically for wifi only model so do not expect it to display phone functions as it is not designed to use you gsm module in your tab it is for another model without gsm module so your gsm module will not find app inside this rom to use its abilities so will remain dormant and silent
2- Regarding your question flash only the roms that say clearly it is for p-3100 not those for p-3110 or p-3113 as those do not contain gsm module so will work in your device but no gsm functions or phone functions will work if you flash a rom that says clearly in the instructions in the thread you downloaded from that it is for p-3100 so you are good to go and gsm and phone functions will work no worries
3- I read a reverse condition of yours as if one with for example p-3113 ( without gsm module or phone functions) flashed a rom for p-3100 (with gsm and phone functions) the icons of phone and messaging and contacts will appear to him but if he presses these icons no actions happen as no gsm module found in his device

You can connect it to any other android phone's modem
Hi All,
I accidently ordered Moto G US GSM version (XT1034).
On This fw: "Android 4.4.2 Blur_Version.172.44.4.falcon_umts.AWSRetail.en.US" works only 2G networks (in Europe). This is as expected.
On GPE fw phone cannot search\connect mobile network at all.
On another european fw same bahviour as on US one (only 2G connection as avaliable)
I have tried to flash only modems from various firmwares, but without any effect (nothing changes), So, as I understand - problem in GPE system.img.
Is it possible to run GPE on XT1034 (at least with 2G)?
I think that the 2G issue is hardware-related as the phone may not operate on the proper frequencies for europe.
Concerning your question: Try the MotoTool you find in the Original Android Development section. This might work.
Thanks for answer.
I have tried flahing modem image for my device XT1034 via recovery, but it didn't helped.
(Sorry, but I cannot write messages in appropriate developers threads)
I've tried multiple Android 11-based custom ROMs for Redmi 4X (santoni), i.e., Bliss, HavocOS and crDroid, and all of them cannot connect the phone to 2G (GSM) and 3G (WCDMA) networks even though I've confirmed that these networks are available in my area. However, 4G (LTE) works fine and connects almost instantly. When I've tried an Android 10-based ROM (ReloadedOS), I was actually able to access the 2G and 3G networks. So, is this a problem inherent to Android 11-based ROMs? And how can this issue be fixed? Thanks for all your help!
A phone's networking capabilities are preset by vendor ( read: Android's OEM part ) not by phone's Android itself.

Does this refer to the device firmware from the manufacturer? If so, I've tried flashing different available firmwares for santoni, but every time the problem still persists.
I've tried flashing the Android 10-based crDroid ver. 6 ROM and now my mobile telephony service is working as I've wanted. So, I really think there is something wrong within Android 11 that prevents access to 2G network which is easily done in Android 10-based ROMs.
