you need your receipt to open a rebate. the type of rebate we have is not in the list they say they offer(this worries me!)
here is a screenshot of the rebate as they had it posted on their website as part of our argument. everyone open rebate tickets and complain!
I bought mine Friday and saw this as well. Went back today and they took it off the site. Thanks for the link, something to show them when I call about it.
Also, went to the store today to price match the price since it went back to 379.99.

i think it may have to be bought on 11/25 or previous. it doesnt show in my screenshot i think but i remember seeing 11/25 as the rebate expiration

Great timing! I saw the "docking station" rebate on Friday, too. I was bummed because it appeared my local Sears wasn't honoring the sale price of $379 with a free case. Whatever, I was fine with a docking station.
BUT, today I went online to file the rebate and it was gone...so I called the local Sears when I picked up my G-Tab (online purchase but store pickup) and they weren't aware of the docking station rebate. They did say they were sorry I didn't get the $379 deal and free case, but just drop in with my receipt and they'd make it right. That they did...it was a trip out of my way, but 5 minutes well spent.

That is because their site was screwed up on Friday. when I bought mine, it said $379 plus the rebate, when I click on it to the tablet page to add it to cart it changed to $399 with the rebate. I blew it off as there site was screwed up, but the rebate was still there. Then I picked it up not thinking I should have asked them at the store about the rebate.
Finally got home started charging it and when I went online Sat to check the whole rebate thing is was gone? I contacted them through chat they sent me to the rebate site and the rebate was not there? but the price had dropped, I drove in and got the $20 plus tax.
So site showed

$399 11/26
$379 11/27
Would anyone happen to have the address to mail the rebate to?
I lost the 2nd page of the form...
BTW, the form does say purchases must be made on 11/25/10.

Last day for the rebate was 11/25/2010. I downloaded the form to a Microsoft .xps file since I was out-of-town and had no printer.
But be warned the instructions are so conflicted it's hard to know what to file. For example, whether or not to file the original (which I hate to do) or a copy.
If someone will tell me how to paste in a copy of the file, or will tell me where to send it -- I will provide it so people who may have bought by the 11/25/2010 deadline can file for the rebate.
The rebate has to be mailed by 12/25/2010 if I remember correctly.

You should be able to even edit your original post... once you have the edit window scroll down below it to the 'manage attachments' button in the additional options box and you should be able to add it there... I bought 2 of these before 11/25 so maybe I'm eligible...

According to the rebate form the rebate was only valid for ONE day - 11/25. So if you purchased it before then it won't work.

Well seems a grey area as the only place 11/25 is mentioned is in 'Offer Date'... there is no purchase date range requirement listed in either of the 2 pages so figure it can't hurt to try...

Thanks for that - i've been waiting for play.com to have a 10% discount which would have only bought the price down to £432(approx).
This is a great price - i only hope they don't say its a mistake as it looks like one (its cheaper than the Diamond which is £363.39).

I've decided to give a WM phone a go again and ordered myself.
To start with I'll just use it with a data sim, to see what its like, as you can't knock a blackberry for staying in touch with IM etc, but Im just so bored of the crap browser experience and lack of software like Live Mesh, which I use one hell of a lot to keep things synced.
I'll use both for a few weeks and see how it goes.

I don't have proof of that - but i do have a receipt, and they did take money out of my account.
Then without my permission carried out a refund transaction. I trying to find out how to contact trading standards but in the mean time i am going to try to reason with sellers.
In a retail store, if a product is tagged as a cheaper price by mistake, then the retailer has to give it at that price.
If Handtec had debited your back account/credit card account, then they had entered into a contract with you to supply that item at that price. Speak to both Trading Standards and Handtec about it and make sure you can demonstrate that they had taken your dosh. All you did is select a product on Handtec's website in good faith and, for their part, it would appear that they too entered into that contract to suppply it, so I suggest they honour it!
EDIT: http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk, and they should have an entry in your local phone book. Kent is 0845 7585497 (just in case - good luck!)

Thats not true. Most big stores (such as Tesco) will sell you at the quoted price for the good will. By Law they infact have something like 24 hours to correct the price once notified by a customer, during which time they can sell at a different price than is quoted.
That is really bad!
I thought maybe it had something to do with stock levels, but if it got to the depot, you think they would have realised!

Looks like this FB thing is expired, but another way to do it for about the same price (even a little cheaper) is to got to ebates.com and get 3% by going to tigerdirect from there. I use them all the time and have gotten several payments back using their site. A G-tablet for less than $339 is a steal!

so you're telling me I have to update my update...
they had some cpn codes on slickdeals where if u ordered something and applied the code, it gave u a free dvd player(actually the cpn code i might have found on retailmenot.com). well i walked into the store and asked if they can build my order there, and they said yes, but the dvd player code did not work in store. we went online and it worked there, so they looked to see if they could give me the model dvd player, but had none in stock.
so i asked him to credit me the difference of the value of the dvd player, which he did and i picked up the case as well.
you guys gotta learn how to play the system better

I picked up a gTablet from Craig's List for $275 a couple of days ago. Granted, it's used, but it looks brand-new. *And* it comes with a carbon fiber skin, an extra AC adapter (so two of them), and the Malata dock. Sweet!

OK, Amazon has shipped out, so that's now tracking numbers received from all three companies. Amazon and NewEgg had origin scans immediately, Tiger Direct still hasn't done despite getting the tracking number first.
NewEgg was by FAR the fastest to ship, and Amazon took the longest by a good half day.
Of the three, the only good experience was NewEgg. Amazon and Tiger Direct were both absolutely terrible, required multiple chase-ups to get anything done, flat-out lied to me at some points, and likely still wouldn't have shipped if I'd not done anything to get them moving.
Although they haven't admitted as much or given me *any* real information, Amazon's issues seem largely to relate to my decision to use One Click purchase, which I'll never be using again. (Doing so appears to delay initial processing of your order by 30 minutes from the time the last One Click item was added to your account, even if it is a completely separate order with separate shipping and invoice from the other items you've purchased.
Tiger Direct's issues seem to relate to basic competence, and I have no intention of ever buying a product from them again.
The only company not to ship anything to me at all was B&H, but in fairness, they were the second-last order placed (the last one placed on launch day), and I cancelled the order with them immediately that I received my first tracking number from a competitor.

No, he was just trying to get one. Every time he ordered one, they would be out of stock and not ship, so he would try the again. I did the same, but was able to cancel the unsuccessful ones before they shipped. If you followed the us availability thread you would know he just plans to sell the extras at cost to other members.
Edit : someone claims to have bought one from office depot. Hmm, I haven't seen anything about them ever having it.

Yep, timtlm's spot-on. I ordered from Amazon shortly after they went on sale, but could see they'd screwed my order up, as they never tried to charge my card or ship, and at 5AM on my supposed delivery day, they suddenly backordered me. So, I ordered from Tiger Direct when they briefly came in stock, they again accepted my order, this time my card was authorized too, and my order went to the warehouse for six hours. Then they too backordered me. In the meantime, I'd also gotten into the queue at B&H, who I knew were backordered, just in case they got stock. I knew I'd be very near the start of their queue, because I prepared very carefully to order when they opened for business.
Turns out all three of the above shipped out orders to customers behind me in the queue, and skipped me.
So I placed a fourth and final order late on Thursday, when NewEgg briefly came in stock, having seen my other orders being ignored despite calls and emails to try and fix the situation.
NewEgg shipped the following afternoon, but in the meantime I'd apparently put the fear of god into a manager at Tiger when I'd called them the previous day, and my order was the very next one they shipped. And finally, Amazon claimed to have identified a problem in my account after two hours of web chat and 3 or 4 detailed emails from me. So they started shipping too, but with no ETA.
Tiger I couldn't stop from delivering at that point, but UPS hadn't scanned my shipping tag, so I also couldn't trust them not to screw up again and print a tag then leave it sitting. (I have only a week to receive the tab before a lengthy overseas trip.) Amazon had no ETA, so I likewise had no idea if I'd sit in "Shipping Soon" for days. I cancelled B&H at this point, but I didn't dare stop NewEgg.
Turned out NewEgg shipped before Tiger scanned or Amazon gave me an ETA. Then in the next few hours, I suddenly had scanned tracking numbers for all three.
And I'm planning to sell the extra two at my exact cost, once they arrive. (Well, unless my wife decides she wants to keep one too.) I've been through hell with this launch, and I want to do the right thing by other people who are having similar issues. So I don't intend to make a single cent on the sale (but equally, not to lose any money.)
Thanks to Tim for stepping in to defend my rep, and no offense taken from anybody else. I'm thick skinned and know you were likely joking about. I just figured you might be interested to hear the whole story. (And honestly, it's therapeutic typing it.)

I did see green "in stock" designation on the product page and quickly ordered the 16 gb and the dock. By the time I finished ordering all stock was gone.
there was no estimated arrival or ship date on the order status page, i just assumed i missed the initial run and would have to wait for another re-up.
forgot to check my email for a day and half, come back to my house on Saturday afternoon (ordered 4/26, shipped overnight on 4/29), only to find a carrier called "OnTrac" leaving the front of my house.
I didnt give it a second thought, I just figured they were delivering next door or my housemate got something.
good thing someone was home! I walk in and find a modest size box, look at the label, to me from Amazon. Nice.
also, i don't think the limited stock available is a function of Asus doing it on purpose or super, abnormally high demand. I do believe the reports that they had trouble sourcing different components in order to met their initial plan. there is no business case for creating false shortages to increase demand in the tech world, it's first come first serve for profits, IMHO of course.

Re the above apparently the seller has apologized on facebook for copying some webpages so I guess thats ok then, if you say sorry then your not guilty of copyright infringement, But tell me this if they are genuine, why, after spending enormous amounts on their stock over 600 items, all apparently in stock, yet they skimp on their website and pinch other sites copyright material?
How have they come by all this stock?? the bigger established sites seem to have problems getting stocks of the Jiayu S3 3Gb version, but apparently they still hve stocks and still sending them out, and at an amazing price too, and by the way its not just this forum involved theres a couple more HERE and Here from Russia and Poland and I'm sure their are many more around the world where forum users have ordered from this site, and do you know why?? because if you google 'club1941 review' see which result comes at the top of the pile.
XDA is probably the most well known site of its kind in the world it is trusted and has an excellent reputation, and I will wager that many people have seen that review and taken it as gospel, I don't doubt the reviewer's honesty and the review of the phone seems unbiased and detailed, however the glowing review he gives of the website, without any knowledge of their history and integrity I believed has caused many to order from this site, how many of you ordered from club1941 before you saw that members posts on here? and that reviewer has admitted he received payment for that review in the form of a refund of his payment for the Jiayu S3 3 gb that he purchased from clu1941.
I realise that I'm probably p**sing into the wind and most of you will just wait and see what comes in the post, and more will probably order, tempted by the unrealistic prices, as I was.
And I wouldnt be at all surprised if the first few packages to arrive are genuine, that's not unheard of.
I'm not an expert on paypal and their ways, so if you have any queries paypal related please ring them up and ask advice if you go to the contact page in your paypal account there is a free phone number there, that's in the uk anyway.
Some of you probably think I have a chip on my shoulder regarding this site, and you're probably right, I dont like people who try to steal from me, or anybody else, and I'm old enough and ugly enough not to care what people think.
Why have I only put negative stuff here?? because I cant find anything positive, prove me wrong show me something positive about this site that will give me confidence in it

My package sent via nl post just got its status updated to "the item is pre-advised" which means something is flying from China to Netherlands
Yeah. Something is flying for sure an that something may be many,many things.
Seems like they do ship the items.
Judging from the tracking number most likely it's from Singapore.

If it isn't a scam, why would the seller accepted dispute immidiatelly without canceling the shippment?
They are so rich that they give Jiayu S3 3GB for free?

The guy ordered 3 umi zeros and this was what came in the mail.
That immediate refund although item has been dispatched is really suspicious

Making refund when there is clear proof that something is already sent sounds to me like pure confession of a scam by the seller?

Why would the buyer open a dispute after he received a tracking number if the buyer isn't trying to scam the shop?
Have you ever tried going through the Paypal dispute process as a seller? It's a long and painfully drawn out process. The whole thing is completely biased towards buyers. If it was a proper and fair system theres no way oscarblue48 should have been able to open up a dispute after the tracking number was provided. This gives the seller a chance to actually send the goods, and the buyer to assess the goods before any action is taking.
Obviously these guys are new so maybe the shipping guys didn't notify the ordering guys. Hopefully they pick up the error soon enough and oscarblue48 doesn't end up scamming the shop.

Seller had number of days to reply his dispute..they didn't do it, they didn't wait, they refunded immidiatelly as they do not care about the "picture" of Jiayu coming @oscarblue48 way. Picture with proper SG track.

Because he wants to make money If there are any problems out there, less people will order it...

This one was specifically made to discuss how legit or not legit club1941 is. Also I don't find the price surprising since the official price from Jiayu's weibo account is 899 CNY for Basic and 999 CNY for Advanced http://www.weibo.com/jiayuyt, which would be just under $160 USD for the Advanced

The facebook post says early adopters get a 200 dlls coupon. That could bring the cost of the phone to 300!

Still waiting on them to release the gray and green version. Already have the phone so I am waiting for the dock and or smart home hub. It's nice that they at least gave us early adopters a bone. But without new accessories it really is a waste for us. They have dropped the ball before, so hoping they don't do it again. :/ They have allot of potential I just hope they get there. Also hopefully the lower price leads to more developers jumping in on the device and helping to get the developer section in this community going.

I did not. the seller had the phone until this morning. i asked for the IMEI and he said i would get it when it comes in the mail. so basically can't make the request until i get the imei. i have sneaky suspicion that he may have claimed.... he knew all about the promotion when i sent him a message.
I am just going to get another phone.
I don't think I'm going to bother with the charging pad if they release it in time seeing I keep the phone in a case anyway.
Sent out the info for my credit to Essential, and called Best Buy this morning and got them to price match the new price since I was within my return window (the credit has already shown up on my card).
So I got $200 back from Best Buy and will get $200 credit from Essential. Sweet.

No, I originally bought it for $699. Got best buy to price match it back to $499 after the price drop.
