Very good morning,
I have a Magic HTC 32A.
The fact is that trying to install the latest ROM CyahogenMod the "cm-6.1.0-RC1-DS", it gives me error. And I passed the first splash, restarting continuously.
I have access to recovery, fasboot.
I would like to install this rom, or at least to anyone else.
Ayduda please!

You have to change the radio. It has to be the old radio.

This should have been posted in General... unless of course you developed the rom. Or better yet... you should post your question in the thread where you downloaded the rom. Yeah... that would be a good place.

ok, im kinda lost here. tryed to install this 2 times whitout sucsess. So im here and going to ask for some help, since i realy need it.
My problem is that afther i run the update.zip and rebot the device dont whant to boot/start up. just hang on HTC MAGIC. gave it about 20min the 2. time.

You radio is afaik not OK, you should flash a newer version.

I have G1 and Magic, and G1 is running on Android 1.6 ... but the battery life is really not up to standard. On the other hand, Magic has good battery life but I am stuck!

G1 has smaller batt capacity compared to magic in other words the matt holds less.Which explains short life.
sorry, are you looking for a way to solve your poor battery life issues with the g1, or are you trying to revert from the 1.76 SPL and 6.35 radio back to standard?

If you've got to this stage using the RUU there is currently no way to downgrade. That SPL is perfected.

i hade perfect spl, but i was able to fix this with this method..

Gold card method will fail when trying to apply the 2.53.707.2 SAPPIMG with an error stating 'main version is older'
You have to wait until a newer version Engineering ROM is available from HTC. Or maybe a new kernel exploit on 2.6.27 will be found...

I guess I will just have to keep checking HTC website... and no I really wasn't looking for a fix for the battery life on G1 coz G1 now mostly resides in my draw .. I only use magic now but very frustrated with being stuck in 1.5 while I see my old G1 can run on 1.6! (or above) : (

There are many many tutorials here that will help. If you would search a bit you would find it rather then expec someone tot ake time out to sit down and hold your hand.
Im not trying to be an ass here, but how will you learn if someone else has to do it for you?
You have a perfected SPL im sure because the fender has 0013 and its perfected. Which means you need to find Amon ras Perfected SPL thread. combine that with the rooting/downgrade methods and you will be all set.
But honestly, if you cant remember the name of a rom you want, then how will you downgrade your phone....

Listen: I've search a lot around at these pages. Many hours!! But as you'll have noticed if you had read my phone specifi, there are not many who can get a SPL 0014 updated. and those you have I'm not sure how they did and what they use.
There's no treats for a SPL 0014 and that's why I started one.
If you don't know how to help me and others who have the same problem then you just don't have to answer.
Hope someone else can help because I really can't find a how to guide for this specific SPL.

i received an htc hero today from a client that boots untill the green guy from android comes to the screen, then the green guy goes down and the phone stays in that state, i never flashed a hero or android device and i am ma bit lost in all the information conserning flashing android devices. can someone guide me here.

i'm sure there is a hero section the would care more
If thats the right fastboot info that ain't a hero bro.
Just do a wipe, it could fix the issue.
Boot into recovery (home+power) and from there perform a wipe.
ok my bad, it is an HTC magic. wipe didn't fix the problem

I've never received any OTA updates, however I'd like to upgrade to 2.2.1! So I'd appreciate advice on the best route to re-enabling OTA updates/Manual upgrades etc...

For rooting the device I'd suggest looking at the cyanogenmod wiki.http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=HTC_Magic
I'd stick to CM6.0/CM6.1, Amon Ra 1.7.0 and all the updates mentioned in the wiki. I would not recommend using the 2708+ versions on a Magic when you are starting. However, on a magic the cyanogenmod will probably feel bloated. If you have rooted your device it will however be easy to switch to any other ROM.
The Ezterry and Firerat version of Gingerbread for the Magic are however still in development. I would suggest gaining experience with CM6 before trying Ezterry's or Firerat's ROM's. Perhaps those ROM's will be ready by the time you know how to use them.
(Gingerbread feels really nice and fast. However since the data connection did not work on my Magic PVT 32B I needed to downgrade again.)
I still use good old Amon Ra 1.7.0 for bootloader, also found here:

But the CM-wiki already contains all the information and links you need.
