MyTouch 4g BUY ONE GET ONE! - myTouch 4G General

http://www.electronista.com/articles/10/11/22/t.mobile.intros.black.friday.bogo.family.deal/
Tmobile doing a new promotion for practically all good phones for black friday as buy one get one deals..
I'm still within my buyers remorse period but already have 3 lines on their cheaper plan that doesnt allow you to extend your contract for rebates. What would i do to get this BOGO? should i just add an extra line, buy the phone on that one then just cancel one of my 3 lines since the added 4th line can be used anyways???

[Q] Value Plan, Work Around... Am I missing Something

So i want the Sensation and the Touch Slide 4G, but on the value plan tmo whats you to pay retail for the phone and that's like $1000. Here's my work around.... No not craigslist, however I could get the two phone for about $700 maybe cheaper. Go to best buy get the the classic family 1000 with data and txting it's comes out to $119 a month for the two lines. Pay $99 for the sensation and $0 for the touch slide. Wait a month and pay tmo 400 for changing my plan to the value family 1000 that $79 a and re-up my conteract for two yrs.
The differance in the two plans is $40X24=960
I gave tmo 100 for the phones and 400 for the EFT so I'm out 500.
So i either got two NEW phones for 500, Maybe even cheaper then craiglist.
Or I save 460 over 24 months.
The Very Simple Math
960-500=460
What Am I missing.

Photon Q at Costco Wireless for $39 + Kitchen sink of accessories lol

Found this awesome deal so wanted to share:
http://membershipwireless.com/index.cfm/go/shop/do/PhoneDetails/productId/5402
For 39$ you get:
1 Motorola Photon Q
2 screen protectors
1 3 in1 charger
1 reusable case
2 leather cases
But that is not all they have a free mail in rebate for the following:
1 Vehicle Window Mount and Navigation Dock (40$ value?)
1 Portable Power Battery Pack (Google says 1420mAh and around 20-40$ value)
*Kitchen sink not included >.>
Oh and upgrade fee is waived and shipping is free if you don't have a near by costco.
I've been holding off on the upgrade from my OG Epic 4g but at this price + activation fee waived, + accessories I think ill be making a trip to cosco on monday. Don't have a membership but a co worker does... Thanks for the tip on this.
Just got mine and sent off the rebate for the dock and external battery/charger. Guy at Costco said it typically takes only 4 weeks to get the accessories. This deal is good until the end of the year it seems, so dig in. The Photon Q is backordered online and I got the last one at the Costco I went to the other day, so if you want in, get your order in soon.
Crap...just when I finally decide to upgrade from my Epic I barely miss this deal.
Says Out of Stock online. I'm not a Costco member but have a friend who is, any chance they have any in stock in store or do they normal ship everything like this from the warehouse so Out of Stock on the website means no chance in the store?
FYI, the out of stock is only online, you can call or visit your local Costco for their stock.
Also, the price is officially $249.99 with a $210 instant rebate, but they charge you tax on the full $249.99, so it's really $39.99 + tax on $249.99.
Thanks for the info! Going to pick this phone up for my wife so you just saved me a bunch of money. Anyone know if I can upgrade her phone to this one at Costco even though she's on SERO? Or does it require to be at a sprint store?
Just got back from Costco from grabbing one...
Root in 3....2....1..
So this is for the phone, accessories, and NO CHANGE IN CONTRACT? Looking like an awesome deal! I will have to have my cousin pick it up for me if no change in contract is required.
If you are/were currently due/eligible for upgrade, and are already on a premium data plan (one with the extra $10 charge), then it is no change at all to your plan except for re-upping on another two year agreement.
One change that I encountered however is that I was still paying $8/mo for TEP (insurance), and according to the kiosk guy at Costco it's went up to $11/mo. Going to call Sprint soon and see if I can argue back to my $8.
Sprint charges $36 for the activation of the new phone, which Costco will issue you an account credit for. It may take a billing cycle or two for the $36 to credit back.
Battery Charger shown here
Anybody received the battery charger shown in this deal yet? I am interested in the manufacturer info on that, as I tried to google it, and could not get it to come up. Looking to find this one on line.
Never mind I found it.
Damn, want to do this deal for the wife to upgrade her EVO Shift, but she isn't eligible until 1/1/13

okay so question on tmo

I have tmo family plan I can add a line and a phone for 15 bucks - I can get the note 2 for 199 - the term fee is 200 so if I do that i get a note for 400 right?
Yes.
Aww man I thought you were reporting that you found a deal.
I thought the term fee was 300 now?
I'm pretty sure the term fee is by the device you upgrade with, not the device currently on there. If that was the case then EVERYONE would put a dumbphone on their line before terminating it. You are either gonna have to pay out of pocket or just keep paying for the add a line. That's what I am doing with VZW, I added a line when my wife's upgrade was due before they started this nonsense with having to switch to their shared data or whatever so we both got to upgrade. Then put a dumb phone on the third line and it'll be $200 over the course of 2 years. Plus having the spare phone is nice in the case that one of the main lines breaks and you don't have a spare smartphone to temporarily activate on one of your main lines. We use our dumbphone as a "house phone" since we don't see the point of a land line. Just trying to throw ideas out there.
Oh and if you do have VZW having the third line allows you to "upgrade" it every 2 years and get a new device at subsidized prices and keep the unlimited data plan. You just switch the smartphone on the third line to one of the mains. Or switch to a carrier that isn't retarded...
I talked to rep under the guise I was buying for a family member and if they hated having a cell I would eat the cost of the phone and the 200 term fee and they said "that's correct" the only minus would be adding a line reset the time frame of all lines - so my two current lines that are close to 1 year would be reset and I would be waitng the two years from for all of them

That would just extend your actually plan contract, not all phone contracts. You would still be able to upgrade in a year if that is how long. But last I checked, plan stays the same for lines, except the added one.

[Q] Too good to be true Sprint Deal for Students?

In 2013 I took advantage of a best buy/sprint promotion where I bought a new phone with cash and received a free year of unlimited calling and text service from sprint.
I added on the $10 unlimited data option but otherwise the only other cost was insurance and taxes so my bill was just over $20.
I am a week from this awesome deal ending so I called sprint to see what my options are.
They told me if I buy a new phone through the easy-pay system where I pay on a new phone for 24 months I can stay in the current promo.
I have to say that having free unlimited calling and text (a $50 value) per month is very attractive if true.
Just seems like it is too good to be true to me. I would have to purchase my phone through Best Buy but they told me I had to use the easy-pay 24 month system and not pay for the phone in full to do this.
If this is true I can see either a galaxy note 4 ($30 a month) or a galaxy note edge ($35 a month) in my very near future and I would be selling (Or trading in) my current note 3.
Anyone know for sure? Think I am stopping at best buy tomorrow to see...

(Update) Probability of Verizon offering a Buy 1 Get 1 offer (100%) deal is live

I am currently holding out for a buy 1 get 1 offer. I really want this phone, and my wife really needs a new phone. I had to buy a battery case for my wife's original moto X just to get by, because the native micro USB socket is broken and wouldn't last much longer.
I am currently expecting that the terms would be the same as the S7 Buy 1 Get 1, which entails the following caveats.
- 6 months of 1 new line minimum 6 months x $20, other line can be an upgrade
- 8 to 10 weeks for the gift card to arrive.
- Now new additional $20 per line upgrade fee
- Can't take a line to another carrier for a month to qualify, must spend over 6 moths away from Verizon to be considered a new line / customer.
So not exactly Buy 1 Get 1 for existing Verizon customers, but still a decent discount.
Any one have any incite on the probability of a LG G5 buy 1 get 1 offer occurring? Currently my only glimmer of hope is that it took about a month for the S7 to be offered in a buy 1 get 1.
-------------------------------------------
BOGO deal is happening and started on the 20th with all the rules speculated above. S7 and 2 Droids also got a BOGO that day too.

Redemption Code: G5-APRILPROMO
NOTE: the "-" is an important part of the code.
Honestly I doubt it. Samsung can do this because they sell a bunch, as great as the LG g5 is they don't sell as much as Samsung so I don't really see that happening. (this is just my guess)

AT&T already did a buy 1 get 1, so I am holding on to hope because of that one too. I was hoping someone would know how often verizon does buy 1 get 1s.

Best Buy is currently offering 50% off the G5 (http://goo.gl/e3RWlA), which is pretty much the same thing as BOGO. If you have unlimited data there are some hoops you have to jump through to keep it, I can explain what to do if anyone is interested. The upgrade fee is $40 per line and I doubt you will be able to avoid that.
I don't see what you are talking about. Most people don't qualify for the 2year subsidized $99 price. I am looking for a BOGO or 50% off on the full price. Is there something I am missing?
Thank you for your reply.

No, you aren't missing anything. That deal is the subsidized price with the 2 year contract. I just upgraded the two phones on my plan to G5s. There is a sneaky way to keep unlimited data and still get the upgrade(s) that I can explain if anyone is interested.
I don't think you will see BOGO or 50% off on the retail price, if it ever happens it will be a long while.
It is actually happening the G5 is on a BOGO starting yesterday the 20th. Unfortunately my wife washed her current phone and I ordered a G5 1 day early, but I will refuse shipment and be getting the BOGO offer code G5APRILPROMO. I will be trading in my S6 too.
Hope it all works out. Above requirements apply.

I was able to go with the BOGO option yesterday with the G5. But the best part is that the store rep helped me save about $20 on my monthly plan. By including a Gizmopal 2 in my plan he could get me on a platinum plan. I dropped to a 20gig data but they gave 4gig bonus so I only lost 2gig. Then with $300 in trade in old phones and a $25 gizmo and $624 g5 rebate coming, not a bad deal! It's nice when Big Red gives sometime instead of always getting! And after 6 months the extra line cost of $20 per month will go away too.
