Organic Wallpaper
After 3 long years this wallpaper has been finally published to Play Store!

This is really nice. I never really use live wallpapers, but I'll run this one for a bit. Thanks!
Running pretty well with cm6.0 on evo.
Nice....works great

I like it. Running it now. Maybe an electric blue one would be cool too.

Thanks to everybody who've tested. Would be awesome if somebody could test this on lower-end devices and tell me how that goes.
While I can't test this on a low end device, I do have a suggestion.
Check out an application for the pc called dremples. As far as organic movement of images and fluid transitions, its an awesome example.
Heck, i'd donate to someone willing to try porting it as a live wallpaper or an av visualizer.

Awesome. More colors would be great. Especially dark colors bec they will help lower battery usage.

Testing it on a G1 running Biffmod2.1, overclocked to 576 - seems fairly good, a little bit jumpy at times (usually when moving from 1 screen to another) but overall it seems to work well - maybe add an option to run it a slower speed as the movement seems a bit quick anyway, might make it a bit more fluid on older phones.
As for the battery life I cant comment yet but it may be worth seeing about stopping the animation when the screen is off (i dont know how, i just know that i have seen other LW which do that, the doom one springs to mind).

There's a frame limiter right now. I guess it's not needed for lower-end devices. Thanks for testing. I might add an option for that. Or just remove it. I'll consider a speed option as well.

The wallpaper is not being drawn when it's not visible. So no calculations are being made and no CPU used.
great live wallpaper! works great on stock 2.2.1 n1.

i second TooSlo as far as the organic movement goes. you should take a look at electric sheep, which is an amazing evolving crowd sourced organic screensaver. coding a live wallpaper based on it would be incredibly difficult i would assume, but would be insanely cool.
Tested on Desire HD. Goes like a charm=)
Will see if i can test it on som e of my older devices when i get home from work.
New version released.

Smooth(ish) on an HTC hero, slight lag when changing the screen although lag is noticeable in the launcher preview rather than the wallpaper animation.. .. on setcpu at 691 on a floyo rom 1.1.9 ..
it may struggle on the sense roms

Your good by now...
Well this is good news. Hopefully it is as good as the Ocean Waves wallpaper. I don't really care for the other Galaxy S live wallpapers at all. Ocean Waves is in a whole other class. Hopefully this new one you speak of is also in that class beccause I would love to have another beautiful wallpaper for my Evo.
I'll keep an eye out for it and post the apk as soon as I find it if it is ever released to the general public.

Can I use custom icons with it? (never even used ADW)
Can I enable 7 screens like LPP?
Does it have scrollable widgets like LPP's facebook?
Can I change what the icons open?
I'm definitely considering buying this, I just need to know a few basic things before I do y'know? Sorry if these questions sound stupid.
Yes you can use custom icons. Long press and icon you want to change and off you go. Was never really keen on using ADW till now, easily trumps LP IMO and worth the $$$.

What about the more screens and scrollable widgets?
Edit: I got it. removed a lot of my icons and widgets from my homescreen so i just removed it. didn't feel like putting them back. the transitions were cool though. i may re-download another time when i am really bored.
even the free ADW is on a higher level of customization than launcher pro plus
I'm loving the Ex version thanks OP!
There's almost too much to customize! Lol

I couldn't get it to layer widgets (unless it's an undocumented feature of the paid version), so I'm sticking with LPP.

I'm really digging this on CM6.1, save for one problem...
There's no system options button in the menu, unless I'm profoundly retarded.
Anyone know how to get that back? The best I can do is add shortcuts to settings on the homescreen.

You have to enter ADW Settings to get to your system settings. Very unintuitive.
I've bought both EX and LPP. The eye candy of EX is nice, but LPP is a touch more refined as of right now in terms of practicality.
As per sageDieu's reques and with permission from thatdudebutch, I have ported the Fascinate's Super Dark Theme to the Mesmerize and the Showcase. All of the creative credit goes to thatdudebutch and you can see the original theme here.
Personally, I think this theme really works well with the wallpapers from the Black ADW theme and the icons from the Black Glass ADW theme. Both are free from the market. Anyway, just my opinion.
Here are a few screen shots:

The usual disclaimers apply. Make a backup before you flash anything. I'm not responsible for what you do to your phone. Disable lagfix if you have voodoo installed as a precaution. Flash this in recovery. This theme includes accurate battery mod, so wipe Dalvik and battery stats then reboot. Rebooting will take about 2-3 minutes. This is normal because you wiped Dalvik. Don't worry. If for some reason it takes more than 5 minutes to reboot, as usual, remove the battery and use three button method to get back in to recovery to restore.

Installed and booted... seems to work fine but it's amazing how slow everything feels without Voodoo, turning that back on ASAP. The only gripe I have is that I don't like the buttons and the highlight color. I think it would be a lot better if you could change them to like dark with light text (the buttons) and maybe something not so drastic for the gradient. I really like more of a matte feel instead of the glossy shiny feel this has on some parts of the ui. Like less white in the gradients and stuff.

Ooh yeah that would be cool. I like the general idea of the all-dark B&W style theme but it would look a lot cooler and more professional if it were more matte and maybe if some of the icons and status bar things matched the theme better and were less cartoony. I'd love to help you with anything you need for a new theme, I'm an intermediate graphic designer with some knowledge of Java and such.

Are tired of waiting for samsung to update us all to honeycomb haha! If so check out the spb 3d launcher it is great, very smooth screen transitions like honeycomb or touchwiz, it has an option that lets you turn all your panels into a spining circular tray with a true 3d look and feel. I would suggest you take a look at the many youtube videos that are out there. Also there is a experimental option included that creates true 3d on your device, require those 3d glasses to experience it. And yes it cost $15 but worth it!

It is certainly good for eye candy and feels very smooth. But after using it for a day or so, you get bored with all the glitter and it slows down the tab within a few hours of use. It does also reduce the battery life a bit.

Agreed -- the birthday widget was quite cool, but not enough to part with my beloved Go Launcher
It's very cool and very fast. But there are a few things I would like to see changed:
- I can't change the size of the widgets. For instance, I can't put the Sense Analogue Clock in the middle of the screen
- I can't put a widget or quick link on more pages, just on one
- I can't put bookmarks directly on a screen, just through the bookmark widget.
- you can add only 3 different locations to the globe/world time widget
Or maybe I haven't found out yet how to do that?
I bought SPB for my Photon and recently installed it on my Sprint Tab and really like it on there!! I like it much better than ADW Launcher.
love it - thank 4 upload

sorry....noob!
Hello folks,
I developed a theme for the Stratosphere that was my take on Droidblaze's TweakedICS. I used Tweaked ICS as a base, but kept some of my own touches and integrated in XML layout changes that helped to improve the ICS-like experience. Given the fact that Droidblaze stopped theming for the Droid Charge, I felt that porting over Ice Cream Alchemy to the Charge would be a good idea.
It's available exclusively through Tweaktools, so install it and have fun.

Made a quick update - put the wrong calendarprovider in there at first. It now includes a more appropriately themed one
great looking theme, thanks for the effort!
What's the difference between this and SolidICS? I'm too lazy to flash and find out

LOL - well tweaktools takes out about 99% of the lazy excuse
It's a different take/mix on ICS - I'm not an aesthetics sorta guy so I'm sure there are lots of little differences throughout, but one that pops out at me right off the bat are the ics-style notifications in the pulldown. There are some slight differences in Settings as well - and a different take on an accurate battery mod. The Mms.apk is AOSP-based too I believe... and I'm sure there are other differences that I'm missing. And now for my lazy response - to really know you'll have to flash it and see! Not like it's too hard to flash back if it's not your bag
right, the differences are very subtle when compared to Blackness' ICS themes.
pros:
- I do like the drop-down notifications
- no white text on white background in tapatalk
cons:
- e-mail app not themed (still stock brown/orange)
- wifi signal icon still the one from black/blue theme
- accurate battery mod does NOT change color as it gets lower
but this all just a personal preference, I think this is a very nice, well thought out theme. personally, I think Blackness has more stuff themed, but both are very good, and you really cannot go wrong with either.
My only complaint here is that the Messaging app isn't themed very much (just b&w).
Then again, there is more readability in certain situations compared to TransparentICS.

I'm digging this theme. I like how readable everything is compared to all the other ICS themes I've tried.

I'd like to consider it to be a minimalist take on an Ice Cream Sandwich style theme. The general idea is to keep it simple, stick to the black-blue-white color scheme and integrate in as many cool little tweaks as possible. If it made it harder to read things, I'd be fixing that as it would bug me too
I can't seem to not tinker...
Ok, so I made one or two minor changes. The first - the mms should now default to the black theme - which I think fits better with the overall feel. The second - accurate battery stuff now changes color - at 20 and at 5. Enjoy!

Any changes dwitherell makes are pre-approved by me! Gogo dwitherell magic! Plus these improvements do help a nice bit in adding to the overall effect of the theme. Also, I'd like to quickly mention that I probably won't be theming OzMail (Email). This is mostly because it'd be a good deal of work to do the custom image work and I don't even use OzMail. Heck, I don't even have any spare accounts I could throw in it atm. So, I wouldn't be able to properly test it on my Stratosphere and then port that over to the Charge.
just noticed under settings -> Display, it reads "Posavings mode" rather than "Power Savings Mode".
not a big deal.... but just FYI....
been using the theme a couple of days and seems very slick i just love it great job op
Any way that this can be ported to Eclipse 2.0?

Geez, this thread had fallen so far down the list it had to hide on the second page.
Since Dwitherell updated this theme it's become my favorite. I try others but keep coming back to it. I really like the Battery icon in the status bar. It's nice and big. They say they will make us a nice big 4g/3g icon for ICS themes. I'll be glad when that happens. I can't stand that tiny little icon that's there now. The up/down arrows are so small I can't even make out the shape of them.
But it's ok. I can wait til they have time for this. The new rom just came out and there's a lot going on around it. Keep up the good work guys. You're all awesome.
