[Tweaked]Ice Cream Alchemy for the Droid Charge - Verizon Droid Charge

Hello folks,
I developed a theme for the Stratosphere that was my take on Droidblaze's TweakedICS. I used Tweaked ICS as a base, but kept some of my own touches and integrated in XML layout changes that helped to improve the ICS-like experience. Given the fact that Droidblaze stopped theming for the Droid Charge, I felt that porting over Ice Cream Alchemy to the Charge would be a good idea.
It's available exclusively through Tweaktools, so install it and have fun.

Made a quick update - put the wrong calendarprovider in there at first. It now includes a more appropriately themed one

great looking theme, thanks for the effort!

What's the difference between this and SolidICS? I'm too lazy to flash and find out

LOL - well tweaktools takes out about 99% of the lazy excuse
It's a different take/mix on ICS - I'm not an aesthetics sorta guy so I'm sure there are lots of little differences throughout, but one that pops out at me right off the bat are the ics-style notifications in the pulldown. There are some slight differences in Settings as well - and a different take on an accurate battery mod. The Mms.apk is AOSP-based too I believe... and I'm sure there are other differences that I'm missing. And now for my lazy response - to really know you'll have to flash it and see! Not like it's too hard to flash back if it's not your bag

right, the differences are very subtle when compared to Blackness' ICS themes.
pros:
- I do like the drop-down notifications
- no white text on white background in tapatalk
cons:
- e-mail app not themed (still stock brown/orange)
- wifi signal icon still the one from black/blue theme
- accurate battery mod does NOT change color as it gets lower
but this all just a personal preference, I think this is a very nice, well thought out theme. personally, I think Blackness has more stuff themed, but both are very good, and you really cannot go wrong with either.

My only complaint here is that the Messaging app isn't themed very much (just b&w).
Then again, there is more readability in certain situations compared to TransparentICS.

I'm digging this theme. I like how readable everything is compared to all the other ICS themes I've tried.

I'd like to consider it to be a minimalist take on an Ice Cream Sandwich style theme. The general idea is to keep it simple, stick to the black-blue-white color scheme and integrate in as many cool little tweaks as possible. If it made it harder to read things, I'd be fixing that as it would bug me too

I can't seem to not tinker...
Ok, so I made one or two minor changes. The first - the mms should now default to the black theme - which I think fits better with the overall feel. The second - accurate battery stuff now changes color - at 20 and at 5. Enjoy!

Any changes dwitherell makes are pre-approved by me! Gogo dwitherell magic! Plus these improvements do help a nice bit in adding to the overall effect of the theme. Also, I'd like to quickly mention that I probably won't be theming OzMail (Email). This is mostly because it'd be a good deal of work to do the custom image work and I don't even use OzMail. Heck, I don't even have any spare accounts I could throw in it atm. So, I wouldn't be able to properly test it on my Stratosphere and then port that over to the Charge.

just noticed under settings -> Display, it reads "Posavings mode" rather than "Power Savings Mode".
not a big deal.... but just FYI....

been using the theme a couple of days and seems very slick i just love it great job op

Any way that this can be ported to Eclipse 2.0?

Geez, this thread had fallen so far down the list it had to hide on the second page.
Since Dwitherell updated this theme it's become my favorite. I try others but keep coming back to it. I really like the Battery icon in the status bar. It's nice and big. They say they will make us a nice big 4g/3g icon for ICS themes. I'll be glad when that happens. I can't stand that tiny little icon that's there now. The up/down arrows are so small I can't even make out the shape of them.
But it's ok. I can wait til they have time for this. The new rom just came out and there's a lot going on around it. Keep up the good work guys. You're all awesome.

Thanks to everybody who've tested. Would be awesome if somebody could test this on lower-end devices and tell me how that goes.
While I can't test this on a low end device, I do have a suggestion.
Check out an application for the pc called dremples. As far as organic movement of images and fluid transitions, its an awesome example.
Heck, i'd donate to someone willing to try porting it as a live wallpaper or an av visualizer.

Awesome. More colors would be great. Especially dark colors bec they will help lower battery usage.

Testing it on a G1 running Biffmod2.1, overclocked to 576 - seems fairly good, a little bit jumpy at times (usually when moving from 1 screen to another) but overall it seems to work well - maybe add an option to run it a slower speed as the movement seems a bit quick anyway, might make it a bit more fluid on older phones.
As for the battery life I cant comment yet but it may be worth seeing about stopping the animation when the screen is off (i dont know how, i just know that i have seen other LW which do that, the doom one springs to mind).

There's a frame limiter right now. I guess it's not needed for lower-end devices. Thanks for testing. I might add an option for that. Or just remove it. I'll consider a speed option as well.

i second TooSlo as far as the organic movement goes. you should take a look at electric sheep, which is an amazing evolving crowd sourced organic screensaver. coding a live wallpaper based on it would be incredibly difficult i would assume, but would be insanely cool.

[THEME] Super Dark port v1.0 for DI14 Mesmerize and DJ20 Showcase

As per sageDieu's reques and with permission from thatdudebutch, I have ported the Fascinate's Super Dark Theme to the Mesmerize and the Showcase. All of the creative credit goes to thatdudebutch and you can see the original theme here.
Personally, I think this theme really works well with the wallpapers from the Black ADW theme and the icons from the Black Glass ADW theme. Both are free from the market. Anyway, just my opinion.
Here are a few screen shots:

The usual disclaimers apply. Make a backup before you flash anything. I'm not responsible for what you do to your phone. Disable lagfix if you have voodoo installed as a precaution. Flash this in recovery. This theme includes accurate battery mod, so wipe Dalvik and battery stats then reboot. Rebooting will take about 2-3 minutes. This is normal because you wiped Dalvik. Don't worry. If for some reason it takes more than 5 minutes to reboot, as usual, remove the battery and use three button method to get back in to recovery to restore.

Installed and booted... seems to work fine but it's amazing how slow everything feels without Voodoo, turning that back on ASAP. The only gripe I have is that I don't like the buttons and the highlight color. I think it would be a lot better if you could change them to like dark with light text (the buttons) and maybe something not so drastic for the gradient. I really like more of a matte feel instead of the glossy shiny feel this has on some parts of the ui. Like less white in the gradients and stuff.

Ooh yeah that would be cool. I like the general idea of the all-dark B&W style theme but it would look a lot cooler and more professional if it were more matte and maybe if some of the icons and status bar things matched the theme better and were less cartoony. I'd love to help you with anything you need for a new theme, I'm an intermediate graphic designer with some knowledge of Java and such.

Cool. I'm running Valhalla right now. Just gonna wait till Raver does the themed version. But for me octaine is the way to go.
They are both great roms - I also have tried them both
The devs are really putting a foot into what we are seeing
don't forget about ICBINB and AOSP
It'd only be fair to wait till the themed version of octaine is released to make an accurate judgement

Well, bout is good, my favorite is octane, for Better video, an audio.

IMO, Octane is superior to Valhalla if you only look at multimedia functions (games, video, music, etc.) I've noticed that games lag much less on Octane and Quadrant tests during the graphics portion show significant FPS differences.
However, the reason I prefer Valhalla over Octane is because it has less FCs. Octane seems to FC on me a lot, despite flashing from a clean slate.
Awesome, I agree that they're both awesome, and they both are very different.
Hey. First post, but have been reading this site for over a month.
Both ROMs are great, however I prefer Octane due to the smoothness. No FC issues.
Does anyone know how I can add quickpanel toggles to the notification menu? Since Octane 3.0 is still un-themed, I no longer have the quick toggle for Data ON/OFF. I've come to depend on this from Octane 2.0.
Valhalla also has similar toggles, however the data toggle is scrolled to the right. Any way to change the order?
Thanks

| INFUSE WISHLIST |
Post what you would want here.
Think of this as a wishlist...
I will monitor this thread for cool ideas and try to create them for the infuse community.
One of the things I love about XDA is the community. There seems to be a great comradery here as we all work together to make our amazing devices excel past where their original creators had decided to abandon them. I want to personally give huge thanks to all of the people that have, and continue to do great things for the development of the infuse.
And I would also like to thank all the flashaholics because in the end without all of you then why make anything at all?
I encourage you to post any ideas or things you would really like to see on our infuses. Whether its a feature or a theme, something you wish your favorite ROM would do, whatever.
Post it here,
then whenever devs and themers wanna see what the community would like they can check here...
Either way I will continue to read your requests, even if I don't always respond, I will read them and if I can make it happen I will.
Big companies want to create anxiety that makes you want the newest and latest, but I gotta say the technology of our "outdated" infuses is awesome. One of my favorite things is how unbrickable they are
So let's get these requests going

something like matted blues. also would like a dialer without defined buttons and a nice background texture. I forgot what theme it is but there is an existing dialer around that would go great on matted blues. also would have the ics kerboard and a themed swype keyboard to round out the package.
I would also like something similar in orange.
app icons would be tw4 style but with different shades of the theme color. all for a kl2 base rom like Zeus.
there is existing stuff like I'm looking for just I don't feel like being bothered theming a whole rom, the stuff that's available is for i9000 and Rogers base roms. maybe the framework mod to run stock touchwiz 4 and the tw4 launcher if Zeus doesn't already have it. that'd be cool.
I've been waiting to find a ROM with a themed twlauncher that looks and feels as close to Ics a possible, ex: having the stock launcher look and feel like its the Ics launcher, idk what all options you get with themeing, like idk what you can and can't do but I'd imagine its possible to do,

I second one for Orange with clean lines, where the color might be the only flashy thing about it. Used one on Serendipity I liked. Also used Sepia on Fusion that toned it down a bit. Would like a color that is different than the same green, blue red combo we have.

There are tons of Miui themes and I would like to see these for our roms. Like Zeus with multiple of theme choises but don't forget about us grow ups. I can't show my phone to an attorney with skulls and over the top colors.
I hope I make sense.
themed dialer, received calls themed, sms theme, calendar themed, notification themed, etc. all the good stuff.
X, thanks for creating this thread.

What would a "retro surfer type" look like?
I second one for Orange with clean lines, where the color might be the only flashy thing about it. Used one on Serendipity I liked. Also used Sepia on Fusion that toned it down a bit. Would like a color that is different than the same green, blue red combo we have.
Matter of fact I am trying out your other one you just put out for Build five now as beta(ish).

Not sure yet on what the retro surfer look would be, I'd have to ask her, lol.
She just requested it. My guess is maybe something like this?

I should of been more clear, I meant your original work. As ideas go I mostly like stock looks. Experia Arc is one I'd like to see. Icons, status bar, battery, ect. I like the looks of it, i just don't like the phone itself. Also something with matted blues or cyan in it.

I'll check out what the Experia Arc looks like, in the meantime check out what I made for the Zeus build 5 base.

To me, something like this would be the perfect theme. Why? It has a perfect balance of colors. Seems like we see a lot of all blue, or all red, or all green themes. I'd like to see something balanced in color and easy on the eyes. Just my opinion on the topic...

I knew you were working on one, but also knew you have been busy, so I did not want to clog up the ZEUS thread with "Hows it coming?" But I wanted to reiterate I like the idea and change.
EX - I liked the colors actually in the pic you showed for surfer. That would be a fresh change.

I have to agree with you here, as I took a peak at the link, and I like the simple muted colors used. Again, clean looking.

[THEME][TWEAKED] ICSorcery

Alright guys...you've talked, you've typed, you've complained...lol...and I'm here to listen.
This theme well be an ICS/Jellybean inspired theme put together to eliminate font issues, icon issues and other issues encountered by my other themes which are my attempts at cloning ICS.
Think of the black and blue theme and how it is practically flawless and then combine it with my ICS stylings and that will be this theme.
I'm starting this thread before I even start this theme so I can get input from my target users before I even start to build
Now...I can't use everyone's ideas and remember...this is still an ics inspired theme, so let's not get crazy on suggestions lol

Sounds good to me Black...there isn't much wrong with the jellybean theme now. I'm sure what you end up with will be awesome.
Only one request from me..and that's to keep the "default" accurate battery icon.

Most likely he will get battery mods for this too. You can flash whichever you like

No i won't be using that battery in this theme as it is one many have complained about because of the small letters...i will be using the AOSP MaC battery as the default

really like your style here - getting feedback and input from others...
hard to top JB though...
but I also like how you are coming out with different color themes (red, vanilla, etc...) perhaps a plam tree green next?
Red Jellybean and Black N Red are done and sent to dwitherell...he's had the flu so hasn't had a chance to post it but soon...VanillaBean is pretty much done as well...once i get it finished...I'm gonna update the TrICS/JB/ Circuitry and then look into a green theme

So what's the hold up?? If I have to wait one more day, I'm going to commit suicide!!:crying:
Had to wait for clock issue to be fixed...plus i was waiting for more suggestions...i also have 3 other themes in front of this awaiting or close to release and 3 others that are needing an update

Were you able to deal with the black on gray and gray on gray issues? Other than that I have no problems at all. My clock never disappeared.
Update: In the screenshots I notice some of the gray issues are improved. In Gmail on TrICS the next/previous message arrows are hard to see on the old version. I haven't flashed the new one yet. I'm a little reluctant to change what I have since I've never had the clock issue. I'm waiting for this new one.
Also I'm not trying to rush you. Do all this at your own leisure. I'm really digging TrICS.
Yea...there aren't any font issues in this theme...this theme sacrifices the looks of jellybean to achieve 100% functionality...no dark on grey, no grey on grey, no blue on white...
