FOLDERS and APPS!!!!!! - XPERIA X10 Themes and Apps

Anyone know how to move folders and apps from one Home screen to another. After my 2.1 updated software, the new home screen now contains more screens. At present I am using ADW.LAUNCHER. It is great but I thought a change. ADW has its own settings button and I can restore all my settings on that! I want to move all!!!

Change Folders Icons on Home Screen

Hi guys,
I've been trying to find out how to do this without using an app like BetterCut or something like it.
I like the simplicity of the folders icons on my home screen, but I want to change the plain manila folders. Is there a way I can find some icons and push them to the phone. The last thing I want is another app to do this for me. I rooted my phone so I didn't have to use apps to customize. I know apps like Folder Organizer can do something similar, but this is not what I'm talking about. Every thread I've searched and read through doesn't seem to get it.
Any help or direction would be much appreciated.
Also, I'm running LauncherPro.
I would like to find out how to do this without an app. Does anyone have instructions on how to manually change icons and folder looks on home screen and in app drawer?

[Q] App Drawer Hierarchy

Alright just wondering if there is a way out there to organize the app drawer a bit.
So far, I have tried ADW launcher, and made custom catalogs, so 1 page for games, 1 page for settings and stuff, 1 page for media... and so on, but I would rather ditch the page setup for something more like folders.
Yeah, I understand that it could add extra clicks to getting to the apps, I think it would speed it it if I could view by function and not search through a full drawer.
Open the app drawer, and see folders called "games","Media","Settings"... and so on. Just kinda wondering if anyone has seen such an app or way to do it.
Hmm yeah I know what you mean. I usually use LauncherPro and tried ADW but none really have management within the drawer other than what you just said.
Go Launcher is your answer. It's almost like ADW has all the features that LP and ADW have, but you can actually create folders within the drawer, which is pretty neat.
You can add folders to your home screens then drag apps and such into them. You can rename the folder by opening it and pressing the word "folder."

yes, while this does work, I prefer to keep home screens open for widgets, and Icons in the app drawer. Thanks for the tip tho.

Changing Icons

So i found the thread with all the icons in the world and got some i would like to use for my TF.
I have been able to use them on the folders i created with folder organizer.
Butttttt.. i have not been able to find a way to change the icons/create icons for installed apps.
I tried anycut and desktop visualizer but they make the icons smaller and have different font.
on my phone i used to use shortercut i believe but this is not available for tablets.
so how could i get this done?
any suggestions?
Thanks.
Folder Organizer can do it. Go to apps, select the app you want to change, select icon.

that only changes the icons you see in the folders of folder organizer doesnt it?
it doesnt let you change them and see them that way on the home screen.
You can change an icon for any app you place on the home screen so long as you use Folder Organizer to do it.
Go into Folder Organizer select your app and change it's icon to one you specify.
Next go to add an item to the home screen and go to more and select Folder Organizer Item.
Next select apps and select the app that you changed the icon to.
There you go, you should now have a custom iconed app on your home screen.
w00t, your right.. awesome!
Just what i wanted.
Thanks..
Glad you got it working. Incidentally, you can also change icons with ADWLauncher EX just in case your interested.
Cheers...
When I want to permanently change an icon (well not permanently since it can be undone) I use apk edit. Just type it in the search bar and it should pop up. Or you can just apply them with a launchers such as Go Launcher, Launcher Pro, and ADW

[Q] How can I replace unmovable shortcuts on homescreen *root*

I am running the stock Rogers rom (2.3.3) and am rooted.
The phone came preloaded with 'phone' 'internet' 'email' and 'applications' shortcuts at the bottom of the screen (like so http://www.androidincanada.ca/web/c...9_with_three_year_contract_54999_outright.jpg). I would like to replace 'email' with the Gmail application and possibly add messages to the list. These items however can not be dragged around like normal home screen shortcuts/widgets.
How can I do this? I am rooted!
I think your best bet is to use a different Launcher that you can customize. I use ADWex it lets you chose from lots of different dock bars and you can use any icon you want or even edit the icon. Just be sure to download Home Switcher so the you can go back if you dont like the launcher and If you like whatever launcher you chose you can delete Twiz launcher all together with Titanium backup since you are already rooted.
Thanks for the reply, I would ideally like to keep the stock launcher. Is there a way using root explorer to change the path of the email icon so it goes to gmail (or even messages)

[Q] Folder Management App for HTC One

Hello!
I've been searching for apps that will enable me to change how folders appear in the screen. I tried Nova Launcher and liked its "stacked" layout of apps that are in the same folder, and I've been trying to replicate that effect ever since (or any effect as long as its not the boring square with multiple icons layout).
I tried Folder Organizer, but it messes the layout as the icon is not aligned with the rows, and the font is different. Any other apps that blends well with Sense UI?
Thanks in advance!
