Hello All
I know that we just got a custom recovery but it is not perfect and beleive me that i am working on getting a full rom for you guys to load but please enjoy this awesomeness in the meantime
Remember that the root method and bat script were originally made by joeykrim and noobnl. these guys have done more than an awesome job of setting us up as root users
it will be out to the public in 3-4 days.

Here is what this ROM thingy does:
gives permanent root
uses my speed and battery optimized frameworks with moderate theming to rid of the ugly
transparent notification pulldown
using my default ringtones
using my default wallpaper
themed launcher
removed touchwiz and all apps associated with touchwiz launcher
removes alot of sprint/samsung bloat apps (dumb apks)
using my custom kernel which is overclocked
kernel adds 600mhx step to avoid overaggressive changes
undervolted cpu
tweaked conservative governor to scale up and down faster for better speed/battery
kernel is undervolted
slight edits to cpq for speed
circle battery indicator
added htc ime to sdcard
config edits on kernel for speed
version with andromeda kernel
problems:
with my current kernel the phone has a hard time booting. it may boot the first time everytime but it also might boot loop. I advise to try to put the phone to sleep right when the lockscreen comes up.
also with the undervolt you might notice the phone being a little bit slow to wake from sleep mode but the undervolt has helped alot on battery.
**I would still recommend this kernel as I have been running it for like 5 days and its really good. all the issues will be fixed soon
i do not beleive these problems arise on noobnl's kernel so i included his in a version.

the zip file of the version you want

i strongly. i mean very strongly recommend you start from scratch. meaning use odin to restore back to the stock phone.

I used your rom a lot for the evo, it was excellent, only thing I would change is adding the % to the circle battery.

do we know if the skyrocket HD is going to be released soon....my company is switching to AT&T and ill be going on their plan as i will be switching from T-Mobile. I hear its soon but i may wait till the HD comes out. Any idea?

very nice, shoulda kept it!!!! I wouldn't get the r20, I would get a 08.5-09 mkv. better motor, better fueling, timing chain, no exploding cam follower

I was wondering the same thing, but I decided to get the skyrocket and I love it! It was cheap and it allows me to play with all the new ICS roms that are out there. If I brick it, I wouldn't be out too much money. I am currently running SkyICS as my daily and it is fantastic.
OFF TOPIC: I love my APR Stage IV 01 Jetta, it's hard to compare to the R20. It's more modern, but not that raw power that you had in the GTi.

Ya i know i should have kept it, but it had over 100k on the clock and i was just getting married and moving into my first place at the time. Couldn't afford the upkeep if something broke it was my daily as well. Once my student loans are paid off maybe buy a used 08 R32 and throw a nice big turbo on that....love that exhaust note

If you haven't heard of Eclipse ROM you've probably been living under a rock. If you have heard of them, then you know of the unmatched stability and speed. Not to mention sheer beauty!
nitroglycerine33 is already working on a ROM for the s3, but doesn't own the device. This limits the testing and work he can do, so we need to get him one! I figure 450 is about the average price for one. So let's set that as a goal, nitro says he's already got 20 towards that goal. His donation link is at the bottom of this post. Please post your donation so I can keep track of the total. All donations are going straight to him and if we get more then what we spend on the device it will stay with him as a donation for his hard work.

He made a great Rom for the Fascinate, Evil Fascination, based off touchwiz. It was the only Rom i ran for about a year. It was that good

He could/should have built it on the leaks but he didn't. He was more focused on other devices. Just food for thought.

Yes his ROMs are usually similar to AOSP. Even his stock based use a lot of AOSP apps (dialer, gallery, camera, etc). They are oh so sexy, and incredibly stable and his support if the ROM it's unrealistic. If there's a problem he fixes it!

I couldn't agree more. I ran Eclipse on my charge and my RAZR Maxx I woods veer off and try others (,I think I have a problem) but would always come back to eclipse.

I don't know what happened on the bionic, but I do know that his ROM was great for both the RAZR and charge. He also doesn't release a ROM that isn't stable. He also already has a build for the s3 just needs some bug fixing. Which is hard to do without the phone.

Wow dude.. so two full builds from the last two gingerbread updates is nothing? Supporting builds for months and building blind for months is nothing? Just because I thought ICS was coming soon I never put out an official build. How do you think i built version 3.0?
ICS leaks were coming weekly for a little while there... I love people like you who feel entitled to things.

Man you are so off and wrong here. Been using eclipse for years. Droid X2, Wife's Bionic Still, my galaxy nexus, and both our nexus 7. Nitro puts out the best!!

I have never ran or heard of your roms (not trying to bash) but I donate to devs that get the device themselves and then show us their skills... I have a hard time donating to someone that should be able to get the phone somehow...? I am living on a set income but found a way to get this device because I love new tech but the comment above makes me think that you think your entitled to a G3 cause your a good dev that needs one (which I don't doubt).. Just sayin... Your work is hugely appreciated but you can find ways of getting the device yourself and then if your that good at what you do then your S3 will be paid for VERY quickly! Once again... Not trying to flame in ANY way shape or form... I would donate in a heartbeat if your roms are as good as people say but you just gotta get that S3 like a bunch of other devs have done on their own.

Unfortunately, most people don't bother to donate to a dev so on top of the time they invest in making the ROM they are also buying these devices. Nitro is a great dev and this bounty was set up because I and others want his work to come to the s3 NOT because nitro just wants a new phone. He already has many other devices he works on and bought himself. So I appreciate your view and agree IF it actually worked that way were people took care of there Devs but it doesn't.

Like I said I would NEVER bash a dev cause they MAKE this community what it is!! I donate to at least 2 devs a month and $10 at the very least... It's to bad others don't do the same... Granted it is a hobby for most devs that they LOVE doing but they also get treated like crap and people think that the dev owes them a fix right now!!! LOL That's not the case... I hope nitro does get a G3!! :good:

The guys got two kids, a wife, and a full-time job. Additionally, he's never abandoned a device, even when he's running something else. Heard of the X2? He saved it. He doesn't make it a habit to build off leaks, as many devs do. Want to know why? Because stability is his number one concern. This guy builds for YOU while he is working, or in between diaper changes.

I had the bionic and ran his rom. damn right he made it great. why build off of a leak anyway. the leaks were coming so fast it was crazy. imagine having to start over every time. its called time management. building off of leaks seems like a good idea till you do it (I tried and failed miserably. but got a new phone out of it) I would suspect that you were not one of the ones that donated for the bionic because you did not say a bunch of "us ".so why is it any skin off of your back? thanks for the x and bionic Rome can't wait to run the gs3 version.

Has any of the devs tried sticking our overclocking code into the existing CM7 (not CM9) kernel? Sounds like it wouldn't be too hard and would be something to tide us over until the Aries kernel bugs for CM9 are fixed. I'd even offer $20 toward the project. Maybe others might put in a little. I kind of liked the CM7 variants but they were a little slow.

Donating probably won't help much right at this point.
Right now, I am pretty busy, all the time. When I do have time, I'm spending it on the SoD issue on cm9 aries.
OC/UV'ing an unstable kernel may have, well... unstable effects. Which is why I put off OC/UV on our cm kernels.
The herring kernel might be a better place to add OC/UV in the mean time. Maybe jeffsf might be interested in adding that, since he has some experience doing this with Hefe, which is based on the same kernel.
So, I say. If you really feel like donating, donate to m4xm4n or jeffsf. I'm not really all that interested in donations. Just a time machine. So I can stop everything and do everything at once without anyone bugging me.

is the CM7 kernel unstable too? I thought it was just the CM9 kernel.

Well, not everything is known working, but it should be possible to add oc/uv and other things to cm7 or cm9.

Farewell blaze owners, its been a good ride!

I sadly am leaving the blaze community and upgrading to my sisters t989 and giving my blaze to my dad (sis got a s4, and dads phone broke last week, it will be his first smart phone). So, does anyone Know of any good T989 Roms with mhl support? I am a large fan of PA BTW so if there are mhl pa Roms, I'll be in heaven!

Turns out, only 4.1.2 Roms on the t989 have mhl D: it's also a bit harder to keep up with stuff in their(mine too now I guess lol) forum since I have been in the blaze forum since before it existed and have read 95 percent of them. There... Oi vey. I have much to read. Also saddening, no Ubuntu touch port or multibooting. And this phone doesn't over clock as well as my blaze (18xx OC stable, minor UV for the blaze, 16xx OC on the s2, base voltage, and even that is buggy at times).

My gf and I will sadly be leaving the Blaze community and joining the LG G2 forums on Tuesday
We hit the end of our contract and lowered our bill about 40 bucks so I decided to join the jump program and get some new phones. The G2 was hard to get, you can only get it on the web atm through Tmo, the reps are still clueless. Kinda sad as the G2 only has root and not even a custom ROM yet for Tmo. I remember when the Blaze forum first started and getting excited about just a debloated stock rom and even the first kernel! Now hopefully work can start moving on the Tmo version of the G2 as people start getting them. Been a great ride everyone, way more fun than my previous MyTouch 4G group

I'm probably going to branch out to a different phone. Can you give me an estimate of how much is it with this new tmobile plan with jump?

Go with the iPhone lol. I'm not saying it's better than an android but it's good for daily use. Great battery life lol.

Well we saved about 40 bucks by switching plans (we were on contract until now) then the phones were $21 a month so our bill went back up to where it was, then we added jump which increased our bill $20 but now we both have insurance. The phones were only $99 down and about $45ish for tax. GREAT deal imo. Its kinda fun to start over again but dev work is slow for the Tmo version as not many people have them yet. I have already started printing a 3D case with someone, it should be done soon. Now we just need some CWM and we are set to go

Count me into this farewell group, once my nexus 5 arrives next week I will no longer be using my good ole blaze anymore. Big thanks to all the devs who made this device so much more than just bearable!

Same here. Its been good times. The N5 looks awesome, but I couldn't pass up the deal for a mint N4 a few weeks ago, its still a beast.

I'm scarcely present lol. It's really hard to say goodbye to a community when you've been here for a long time. This long, for sure, will live on to many ROMs to come. From what we all have seen from the developers, this phone will always be new . Next stop for me, Nexus 5 with some KitKats. Happy Halloween!

Me too! Still no shipping email tho...:crying:

That's the route I'm thinking of going next. Just waiting for T-Mobile to stock them. Gotta buy two of them (wife's not going to let me upgrade just my Blaze ) so I need the monthly payment plan.
