Need for speed shift - Android Apps and Games

Hi I've been looking for need for speed shift and can't seem to find in the market. is there any sites that have a barcode for it?

You wont find any gameloft game in the market. Youll have to buy them from their site which is sh!t --> hardreset or new phone = game is gone and you have to buy it again. Gameloft just sucks in this respect...

i had the game, which ported over from another rom, if you want i can give you a link for it. The game is no where to be found on the market or the site itself.

Tower Defense

Hi There!
I bought tower defense from handango because it was listed in a list of games supported on the hd2, but when I install it, it says can't run because it's not a trusted certificate application, or one of it's components can't be found.
Anyone able to assist?
Search the web for "sdkcerts". Install it. Softreset then install Tower Defense again. Should work now.

i am 99% sure there is problem with shortcut if game is installed on sd card.
just find exe fil in game folder with some file explorer (resco) and make new shortcut
I bought it too a while back and had the same problem, so i mailed handango for support. all you have to do is to install it on the leo itself, not the sd card, and then it will run just fine.
Sorry I was away a couple of days, turns out it was a shortcut issue, all fixed now.
FYI this game crashes on me at random parts of certain levels. So far I haven't heard from anything from the developers I emailed. They definitely need to have a trial version of this FIRST, but they don't. And when you buy it, your SOL if it doesn't work on your device.
CAUTION CAUTION CAUTION
THIS GAME HAS HAD ISSUED WITH MANY PPCs. Either buy from a reputable store that can assure you a refund or do not buy.

[Q] Android - what are 'killer' apps?

I've been a winmo user for more years than I care to recount, but it's upgarde time, I don't want to wait for WP7 only to find it's not all it should be, so I'm going Android.
Desire or Galaxy S, not sure yet, will see what deal I can get at the end of the month when I have to decide.
Anyway, my question is, as an Android noob, what are the 'must have' apps on Android.
what is THE media player to have
what are the games that are essential?
what utlities will I need to get the best out of the phone?
Looking forward to your answers - no doubt as varied as responders.

xda doesn't let me post links cuz i'm new so this is the best I can do.
Thanks bartek.
At least someone is being helpful...
Personally I use RockPlayer to play movie files, MortPlayer to play music(default music player is great anyways though)
For games, theres MagicGemII (bejewelled style), Replica Island (platformer), Abduction (doodle jump style), Armored Strike (scorched earth style) and many more, including some great ones from GameLoft
In the way of utilities, depends on what you want to do with your phone. Android has a lot of advantages over windows mobile (came from htc diamond 2). A good place to start is a file browser, like OI File Manager, and a backup program, like Titanium Backup. If you're into loading new Roms, then Rom Manager is a useful and easy way to do this.
Personally I also use SlideIT keyboard for easier text entry, AppBrain coupled with Fast Web Installer means you can browse the market easier on appbrain.com and install apps just by clicking Install on the website, of course the XDA app

[Q] EA Monoploy Classic, Life and Clue for Xoom??

Hi,
Anyone know if/where I could find a decent copy of Monopoly Classic (I don't want Here & Now), The Game Of Life, and/or Clue that works on the Xoom?
visiting http://m.eamobile.com, none of them are available on my Xoom.
The selection varies when I use my Thunderbolt, X, or Incredible, but I'm not sure if they'll work on the Xoom... I've had some issue with NFS Shift that I purchased working on the one device, but not the other..
There are SNES versions so SNesoid would work for you. Other than that, I am not aware of Xoom compatible versions.
I purchase life last night on ea mobile website for 3 dollars. its the only game they have available for the xoom that I know of. On their website they do talk about scrabble and other games being available for android very soon.
I did hit EAMOBILE.COM from my Xoom's browser and purchased/downloaded "The Game of Life"...
While EA's web site shows it as "The Game of Life HD" the app and its icon are not labeled as such on the XOOM.
And I don't see a way to re-download, or get an update, should the need arise.
Under HELP -> about (while in the game) it does give a version number, and email address for customer service... I might end up emailing them, asking about updates, and re-downloading if needed.
For now, I have the install APK backed up to two of my PC's, and its on the SD card in my Xoom...
The FREE Scrabble version that EA released is not directly supported on the XOOM (not found searching AndroidMarket from the XOOM, and hitting http://market.android.com from PC shows its not compatible with XOOM so wont let me install it.). So I tried it on my Thunderbolt. It is disappointing that this new Free version doesn't support "local" play only... or play against the "computer." I really want that ability. I haven't tried taking the APK from the TB to the Xoom yet. But this thread -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1164519 doesn't look too promising.
flippingout, thanks for the suggestion of the SNES version and emulator. Unfortunately, they just don't cut it. Hopefully, EA will put out a XOOM compatible version of Monopoly Classic soon.

[Q] Making GTA 3 Offline

Hey there people. I'm completely new to android, well, I'm new to smartphones for that matter.
So right to the point. I want to make GTA 3 (or any REAL game ) work without wifi.
I live in a poorfag country, where it isn't really possible to get online without a contract phone. Not as a student...
I have an Xperia E1, got it yesterday, and managed to install a cracked gta 3 which runs butter smooth. But it has online authentication on launch, therefore I can't play at school, which kinda defeats the point of having the game on my phone.
(The version I got was a lone .apk from 4shared, which installed fine, then, when launched, connected via wi-fi and downloaded the files with a gta3 background pic. Was kinda slow, ~40 kb/s so I don't think it was from the play store.)
Phone isn't rooted, can't find that many results to say it's 100% safe and un-doable to go on with it. Can't afford a new one if bricked.
Someone suggested launching the game at home, then 'alt-tabbing' out of it, move away/turn off wi-fi and play, but after a while it checks for connection again and gives the "Data connection unavailable" screen.
I saw someone on these forums talking about how you could disassemble the apk and remove authentication, or just change it's value to 'true' whether there's wi-fi or not. I'm willing to do *almost* whatever it takes to do that. Does anyone know how to do it ? Where do I start?
I saw apk disassembly programs for rooted phones, but can't you already do that on a PC without having to root your phone ?
Point me to any direction, just help me please.:crying:

Really ? It's that easy for you ?Then why don't you write it down for me ?
I've been searching on google for 2 days!
I've found a Fake Wi-fi connection app, which is not a solution to my problem
and an XDA thread about people wanting to do this kind of stuff, but none try.
It seems that everyone is just fine with games that need constant wi-fi connection, even though they have ZERO online elements.

I don't think you're gonna get much help here about further cracking an already-cracked paid game... Something about rules and warez [emoji6] That authentication is there for a reason
I've got the exact same game... With the exception that i paid a wallet-draining 99¢ for it on the Play Store. Sorry if that's not the answer you were looking for

Please don't take me for an evil pirate who's main purpose is to crack all the games. My first intentions were to buy the game and be done with it, after that I heard that it has authentication, which requires a contract phone with constant internet access, which I don't have.
Not saying I don't pirate movies or music, but I have 24 games in my steam library right now, most of them got paid for, I also own BF3 Premium. DRM doesn't break the game on PC, as most people have wifi/internet at home in 2014, but not on the go. If play store removed DRM, I would not necessarily need piracy to achieve my goal.
Anyway, finally found an actual offline version, but it was extremely hard to find.

Well I've been playing it on airplane mode for a while now, and not once has it stopped me due to a lack of internet connection. I'm guessing it just needs the web connection to authenticate the license once.
I'm not saying you're an evil person, but the intention of this thread was for you to figure out how to play a pirated paid game without paying for it, bottom line... And that's against the rules here.
Is your phone rooted?
gta 3 aulthough can be offline? not?

Not having an internet connection is no excuse to avoid payment of software. The authentication method is one way of stopping people ripping off software, so discussions on its removal are forbidden on XDA.
XDA supports developers, show some respect for the work that's been put into software and purchase it!
