hi ,
i wanted to ask k how to install a rom ?
i have download .nbf files (roms) and even entered to bootloader version2.01 , in o2 xda exec.
after entring to bootoader , new usb connectn appeard in pc (win7).
what should i do next ? how to install those .nbf file there...
i also downloaded a .zip which contains "UNI_ExitBootloader".
i have also unchked the "allow usb connections" , and "allow data connections when connectd to pc" when i tried to update the driver by pointing them to those zip drivers. it saya my drivers (inwin7) r up to date then those (win vista) , then i tried to sun UNI_ExitBootloader file , error occurs saying to make sure to disable the usb connections , i already unchked them
help me plz

Error 101 is communication error, so
1. Disconnect PC from internet
2. Disable any firewall, XP firewall, zonealarms etc
3. Hard Reset XDA << probably not needed but hey why not
4. Put XDA into bootloader mode Power Button + D-Pad + Reset Hole
5. Connect XDA to PC with USB
??? does bootloader change from serial to USB ???
6. Run HimaUpgradeUt.exe with correct ROM in same folder
7. Wait for 30 mins

Here it is:

Generation from this program
I tried to upgrading my ROM for my JAM but I think I used the wrong ROM and now all that comes on my screen is Serial v1.02 or USB v1.02. There was some error that came up as it was flashing, about being the wrong model.
and when I try to upgrading my jam with master rom I have wrong massege with it
the wromg massege ( get divice data erorr)
please help me for this problem

Place the device in bootloader mode, and try again.

I just e-mailed it to you. You should manualy 'uninstal' the drivers you were using before.

VISTARUU and USBAS, must be extracted using WINRAR, or any other compatible program.
With your device connectd in BOOTLOADER mode, go to your device manager, and select update driver. Browse to where you exracted your files, and select WCEBSH.INF (NB: Do not do an automatic search).
If you have no problem with nonnectivity, then you can simply copy and paste your ROM images in the NOID folder that you extracted, and run the hacked RUU (provided by whoever created it on this forum).

I got the same problem when i upgrated through a wrong firmware but i found the best file and it works in its best way
first you should download the following file from imate or any place:
JAM_WWE_11200_128_11210_ship.exe
which is 43.2MB, this file and not a compatible because i tried many of them.
when the download completes,don't setup it because it will not complete and an error will happened but open the file with winrar and extract it then copy the attached file to the extracted folder then operate the attached file when you linked your device through the usb and be sure that activesync is running.That' all and i hope your device gets well.

I want to get root permission to remove some preinstalled chinese apps. I just tried with Colonel Zap method (using SP FLash tool 3.1222) but i got always errors (under win7 and xp)

Android 4 (but info settings says 4.1.1, see image)
512 RAM
4GM ROM

Hi, the Star gT-i9300 and the Tinji I9300 are the same. So you can take a look in this thread.
It seems that you have a driver problem. The message came up directly after connecting the phone ? Or ist the status bar increasing to 100% for one time befor this error appears ?
Installing the correct drivers in the correct way seems to be the main barrier, i wasn't able to get the flashtool run on 2 win7 pc's. XP worked fine from the beginning.
In the thread i mentioned above are also some driver hints, maybe that helps.

so i run flashtool, load MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt, change boot.img with yours one (root-boot.img, i take it in that thread), hit download (now appears an alert and i say "yes") and connect the device (from power off). Now i listen windows usb plug-in sound and flashtool starts to download (with a red bar)...when its at 100% i listen the windows usb plug-out sound and appears that errors...

The first part is like it should be, also the stop after the first 100% ist correct. You should find a message like 'connect USB cable' or something like that in the status bar of the flash-tool.
But after 2-3 seconds it must continue automaticly. Is windows showing a message 'new hardware found' after the first 100% are finished ?
If you connect the phone the first time windows should install a driver at this time.

do this under win7 instead under XP it appears before Flashtool starts to download

You took the battery out for a second before you start to flash ? You have tested it with all available USB ports ?
If you hear the 'USB sound' but nothing happens maybe your USB port ist to 'weak' (just a guess). Maybe try it with a external powered USB-hub.
Also installing a different driver is worth a try.

i just tried with an external usb hub (not powered) without results...i just tried several drivers too...can u give me the drivers u are used?

No, sorry. I don't know which drivers i had used. You can try to install PDAnet. This is an often found hint. PDAnet installs drivers automaticly.
Somebody also posted that he had success with this driver.
You disconnected USB cable and battery before starting to flash ?
Update : I started playing around with the flashtool on my Win7 PC where i also wasn't able to flsah anything. Reinstalled the driver and got the same error as you (first 100% ok, then stuck).
I changed the USB cable, used the original delivered with the phone. And all of a sudden it worked !
So maybe try another cable too.

No preloader driver needed...just enable DEBUG mode to usb connection (on the phone) and connect the phone to pc (from power-on!). Launch the script!!

i have buy a S3 GT-I9300 MTK6577 mobile phone
now i want to root it and test a lot of method and software but finally could not.
the main problem is that when i conect my phone to computer the GOOGLE ADB DRIVER will install ,but when use some root software they show not find device.
another problem is that i have install some keyboard,but even i choice it in setting at last not change and still show the chinese one.

but the problem was that it does not support arabic
so i need room like 2.3.4 or 2.3.6 provided that supporting arabic reading and writing
and if there is no room like that i need the way to reback the phone to 2.2.1 which
was supportting arabic

i installed kies and connected the mobile but there is nothing happen on my computer
and kies
and i put it downloading mode coonect it to computer nothing happen on odin
and usb settings on the mobile not available on it grey color

your usb drivers are not installed or are corupt
solution :
press start >search
enter device manager
(phone should be connected)
you should get under port/unkown device
unkown device or mass storage device or something similar
press the one you want unknown device.
choose driver in the new window(its at the top next to general) and choose update drivers
now you get two options use the internet or search in the computer(use the internet)
after that the device manager will install the drivers and reboot the computer and you should be good to go.
if via computer choose browse and navigate to the kies folder usually under samsung in programs and files folder inside search for drivers and tick search sub folders.
that should do the trick else a better bet would be
uninstall kies and sasmung usb drivers connect to the internet then conect device.
