Check DroidUptime on the market and use it so we can get a bigger team on the uptime project let's all see how many days we can keep our droids running

you deleted me from the team. im guessing cuz none of mine are phones? cant get this app to update stats is why
edit: ok i have to be on wifi. any way to remove that?

To remove what? You don't have to be on wifi, just get an internet connection. Yes, I removed you because you didn't have any phone in there Now that you do, just ask to join in again

its working now. for some reason it just didnt work at all, i guess doing it with wifi first made behave and work on 3g
great app tho

Sure Just let it run...

I installed this twice on my N1, FC's when I try to start it... instantly.
After the first try failed I rebooted, cleared caches, started up again but still the same issue..
Anyone else with this problem? Check my signature for ROM/kernel/...

This is not the same as above roms.This rom should be smoother and more stable.It has ram tweaks.You need to Wipe,it might do it for you but just to make sure wipe before flashing.sorry There shouldn't be any problems with the pri or prl mine was 1.7 and60662 before and after!visual voicemail doesnt work.Yahoo mail won't let you sign in,just use the internet.I"ve used this rom for about a week,it's stable enough to use everyday.

My PRI was the 1.7 before this an it is still 1.7 shouldnt be a problem

I couldn't really say yet cause i always have my phone plugged in for mns but it seems okay so far.

I may take alook at this one.
After I first got my PRI fixed I was in my original backup which was 1.5. Went to Damage1 and my PRI was still the same. Went to Damage2.0 and my PRI changed. Fixed again and went back to 1.5 then back to Damage and PRI was still at 1.7xxxx.So it didn't change in the ROM that was suppose to mess it up in but changed after I switched ROMs. Anyways...I'm not sure why people are worried. Just install new ROM and update profile and PRL. See if it works. If not then do the fix in the current ROM.

Has anyone tried wired or wireless tether on this ROM yet?

[MOD] Hotspot / USB Tethering on 3.70 OTA

I don't have time to make a flash zip out of this right now, and at this stage this is mostly for other devs, but I have just gotten Hotspot and USB tethering working again on the 3.70 framework.
EDIT: From the combined efforts of Aamikam and I, this seems to be fully working without borking your 4G. Note that this version will disable the vibrate when unlocking. This is a flashable zip. This is for the new 3.70 OTA only.

adb shell mount /system
adb push framework.jar /system/framework/
from recovery...
i attached a zip i made real quick just in case someone else is not sure how.
wipe cache and dalvik... although i think u dont really need to.

4g never worked on wifi tether btw... so im wondering if thats what u mean... or u mean that 4g dont work at all?

It won't turn on 4G after pushing the file. Hotspot does work fine on 3g, as previous hack. But now, when I try to turn on 4G, it tries to turn on for a while and afterward it just says it failed to turn on.

I don't have 4G in my area, but when I enable it it turns on and starts scanning. I think you might have something else going on?

I can also confirm This. When I try to turn on 4g my phone reboots with or without the hot spot on.

im trying to see if i can fix it... i will post something if i can get it... but i think i see whats wrong here.

I can also confirm this fix breaks 4G.

Can anyone without 4G in their area confirm it also? Everything appears to be working great in my current build. Wondering if the trigger is actually connecting on 4G. Mine turns on and scans with no issues.

Mine turns on and scans once but wont connect. If I try the rescan option it will either do nothing or reboot the phone. I tried a fresh install of the rom and still no go. I also updated the prl and profile still no go.

I ran it again with my signal blocked (don't ask). Same results.

ok... so after digging inside its pretty easy to see that there are entries missing... ones that should still be inside.
im not sure if putting them back there will break the hack or not though...
so im trying it out real quick...
keep in mind that calk tweak was only done on the cmda... smali file... not all over all of the files u change vaelek.
i ported it before from the 3.29 to the 3.30 framework... so i kinda know what he did... but this framework has over 300 different files in it compared to the 3.30 or 3.29.
im happy u had the time to really weed out the files... makes it so much easier now to find whats the differences.

btw... it works perfect on 3g.

It boots but like he said nothing works. No data nothing. So you can swipe screens. I also thought by flashing that and then flashing the At&t zip after that it might work. Hells Nope! Us canadians are shafted

There is a working rogers cwm flashable ics, though. a few of us have it, but im on att and cant say what all works and what doesnt. They have told me most stuff is working, though

So... I'm really confused now.
Multiple searches, and reading tons of this forum on a daily basis for several months now had led me to the conclusion that the i727 and i727R are identical hardware... how is it possible that this isn't working on Rogers? Could it be something as silly as an environment variable set differently somewhere?
Looking forward to seeing a post that somebody cracks this puzzler soon. As far as I can tell all of the ATT and Rogers ROMS up to now were interchangable...
Have I misunderstood, or are these phones not physically (chipset, hardware...) identical?

same phone same hw but that leak was built with an ics baseband that rogers lacks in short rogers users are missing a piece of software

They are as identical as two phone with different branding can be. The software is different and that leak is very AT&T specific. So there's something in there that screws up the R. If you take it south and run an AT&T SIM I'll bet it works just fine. The good news is that it is software so someone will find it and make a more generic version. Besides, I'm here to *not* run a stock ROM so I'm staying far away until it settles down and the devs have dived in.

Alright, beautiful. this works on my Rogers i727R. Just I have the home button issue. I'll look over the phone to see what else is working and not working over the next few hours while I'm in class.

1) Receiving errors when trying to download apps on the market.
2) Trying to fix the home button. It works on start up on the homescreen, but once an app opens it stops working.

both known issues with fixes. (the main at&t threads talk about his)
Factory reset until home issue goes away
clear data/force stop to download apps.

I had that same error on my skyrocket but it fixed after i did a factory reset and the market updated to the play store.

I figured that was the problem, but my market won't update. Anything I can do to force it to update to Play Store?

a while back i had the problem where it wouldn't update so i just had my girlfriend send the Play Store apk to me from her skyrocket with an app sharer and that caused it to work

eventually it will. automatically maybe try clearing data as previously mentioned but then do a soft reset?

Yup. It eventually did randomly.
Last problem I'm encountering is I seem to be stuck on 4G and unable to get LTE, unless the icon at the top is having trouble.

Nice! Does this update the modem & baseband as well? Can you post a screen of your About Phone settings?

Sense 5 is here!!

So I know a lot of you have been eagerly waiting for sense 5 to be ported to our device. Well I'm proud to announce that our carl1961 has successfully ported the evo 4g sense 5 rom to our phone. Some people have reported that everything works fine for them while others have issues with data,mms, phone calls, and the fm radio. The actual link to the rom is burried deep in a thread and is kind of hard to find without wading through many pages of post so I decided to post a link to the post here.
Wipe, flash, and enjoy!! Oh and don't forget to hits carl's thanks button and mine for taking the time to create this post to make it easier to find. Maybe he'll get around to creating a thread in the dev section but for now here it is.

Of course. Other than the few hiccups I posted about it works great. Very smooth and stable. Definantly faster than sense 4+. Plus its android 4.1.2 instead of 4.1.1

Been waiting for this and it works great for me so far. It's like a whole new phone and the camera is even better now! Many thanks!!!

I'm lovin' it. Didn't even have to mess with APNs. Booted fast and I can tell it's so smooooooth.

I'll flash this on to my One X while I still have it. Sense 5 on the One has been amazing.

It's strange. I flashed it, and I have no APNs except for a blank "Internet" one. I wonder what made it different for us... maybe it's because I wiped after I flashed?

That's the APN I got too. But it's working. Aahhh, I'm on T-mobile btw.

Been using it on my One X for about 15 mins and it's running really well . It's putting up a great fight to my One. Everything is nice and fluid, seems like an upgrade over Sense 4+. I don't have active service for the phone, but under APN there is nothing there for me either.

Try setting up the APNs by your own. I deleted the blank one and added my own.

Locked up the camera when I tried.

This is running pretty smooth as is, but bluethooth is not working and I cant seem to get LTE working for tmobile FYI

Does this work with the international version as im living in the uk. I have just tried to install it and the installation failed. I flashed the img file onto my phone ok, its just installing the rom. Are there any specific instructions for installation?
