[ROM] [15-FEB] Qteknology Devs Roms for VodaMagic 32b [MagicSense Port 3.05.401.3]

I just wanted to get some G1/MyTouch EYES on this ROM, see if we cant get some improvements for our devices
Its a HTC Magic 32b Official Sense Dump (3.05.401.3) from HTC Magic 32A codename: sapphire
I've scanned thru the posts, I guess it works for MyTOuch 3G, but i see some APN issues [CONFIRMED]

I mean can u manually input othr APN settings, for instance, im on ATT and I know my APN settings almost by heart I assume u can enter T-Mobile also
its responsive and smooth also I read, I think Im gonna flash right now

thats why I figured I post it up here get some of our smart DEVs on this maybe can tweak it out

Just flashing now, I will see if I can figure it out and let you guys know. Still new at Android but I have been doing phones for a while now!

I gotta say I always disable my APN so I dont get my DATA charges to high, I always change the APN TYPE as soon as I flash a ROM, its the first thing I do, so this might be handy. But we all know it will end up buggin the crap outta of us having a setting not working

Ive came to realize I only like hero for the widgets that come along with it

Thanks man. Yea, this APN thing is a tough one, this ROM is awesome and smooth but the APN needs to be set in the ROM before flashing and unfortunately thats where my know how goes by by. Dang, hope someone figures this out.
EDIT: Ok, so I put in the settings and turned on 2g networks only and then turned 2g back off again and now I have data. So that worked for me!
Try that and see if it works for you.
Data is flying for me, syncing and location all work!

Already got it working, no need to mess with the zip file. Putting it into 2g then back again forces it to find the correct network to go with the settings. It will work then.

Does MMS work for you and all that??
I also was having problems with GPS in this build

Guys, this ROM is awesome, super fast and stable and sense. I like it.
EDIT: Havent tested MMS yet but I will now.

HMm....Im assuming we have a different type of maps in this rom?? Since its focused over in the UK when you start it??

PDANet and 2.1 ROMs

Is anyone else having issues with PDANet dropping connection (with no error messages) periodically when on a 2.1 ROM? Mine appears to cut out about once every 20 mins, but always reconnects with no problems if I disconnect, diable USB tether, re-enable USB tether, reconnect.
Seems strange, but before I report an issue to PDANet, I wanted to check to see if it's a unique problem to 2.1 ROMs.
I'm on Fresh 2.0d, and I'm using the full, paid version of PDANet.

My PDAnet has always done this. On for a few minutes, then you have to reconnect to go to another page.

the sprint leak 2.1 allows mns. why not just use that?

My understanding is that is only true with certain PRIs and/or certain ROMs.
I do not believe mns is working with Fresh2.0d and several of the other 2.1 ROMs...if it is, I'd love to hear that, too!

You are correct about it needing a certain PRI, I'm using PRI 2.11 and using MNS tethering right now on Fresh2.0D, works perfect! I also confirmed it works with Damage2.0.7.

Bamboozling SMS Issue...

I've struggled with this issue for days now... Maybe somebody can help.
I'm dropping most of my text messages. I can successfully send them, but I do not receive them.
I figured it was a problem with SuperbadCM 1.5, because the problem seemed to begin after I updated to 1.5. I've tried downgrading, flashing after a wipe, removing LauncherPro (memory issues?)... nothing fixed it. Then I tried the latest CM5.0.8t2 on a clean wipe, no good, and even flashed an old nandroid of King's 1.5 sense rom... still no message.
What could be the issue? AFAIK everything else works.
I doubt it matters, but I'm using a G1 latest radio and dangerspl. I'm not sure if a logcat of this is possible, but I'll provide whatever info necessary. Thanks for your help. Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

if you know what rom it is from would it not make more sense to post in that rom thread and or use SEARCH to find if others witht he same rom are having the same issues and know of a fix....

have you tried a different rom? maybe an eclair 2.1 perhaps??

I've had the very same issue on DangerSPL. I'd recommend using Firerat's AnySPL Patch on Cyan's mod while using stock/Hard/Engineering SPLs.

makes sense, because the issue probably lies on a lower level than the rom. I'll try this now, thank you.

I flashed HardSPL over 2.22.23.02, then Firerat's AnySPL CM5.0.8t1. I'm still not getting text messages... Any other ideas? This is a pretty serious issue for me :/ what's most confusing is the problem occurred months after it was working fine.

If the problems still occurs, you may want to contact your service provider about this problem.

What country are you in? I'll bet its the hsxpa and gprs class settings.

Also, you pretty much answered your own question in the first post, it happened after you went to a specific ROM, there's something wrong with it's settings.

I have no idea where this post is going...
But I got the problem sorted out... Proto was right, apparently I had a bad sim card somehow and got it swapped out. It wasn't the spl or any rom.
I think I let myself forget this is the internet -_- 1/9000 people are brilliant, the rest are hostile and dumber than bricks.

Did you try handcent sms? It has a workaround to an android bug that leads to sms loss when there's not enough memory available.

Yup. Baby steps. Last time this happened to me it was a network issue in my area and just had to wait it out. Any time I'm having SMS issues, I always call to see if the network is jacked up before heading another direction.
Did you not get a notification of a bad SIM? I thought these phones would have been able to detect a bad SIM... At any rate, I'm glad you got it fixed up.

Works great on EVO, I havn't read through the INC thread yet but this is really fast.
When data is connected it shows 1X and when data is not connected it show 3G

rom is nice and all but I can't get mobile data to connect..keeps saying "turning on".

i'm having the same troubles are you are. Even rewiped twice and same thing. I'll just keep an eye out for this one.

Anybody else getting a line error of like line 269....can't install busy box or something like that? (Sorry, was not able to write down the specifics at the time....if I try it again I will get all error information). It will work if you apply the fix, but it doesn't seem like it is complete and the internet connection is really slow.....may try to re-download the Z port rom in case it was bad....but I have tried all of Inc's roms and haven't run into this yet. Also, with the MYTOUCH port, it is really weird. I love the port, but if I sign into Google, it seems to know that I am on Sprint, and then the internet connection gets disconnected. If I leave everything anonymous, then it works.

I was having issues with reception as well.
Liked the rom, just needed to be able to make phone calls. Played a round in phone settings as well to no avail.

I've been running this for a couple of days now. It's AWESOME. I have had really no problems except for there being no camera. This is not a problem, but 3g shows a "1x" but thqt is probably because of the Verizon roots of this Rom.
All in all, the new sense is great and I really don't want to leave it. I might have to because I want the camera back. If you don't mind not having a camera, this is a daily driver for sure.

Does anyone know if a modified MAIL.APK has been made to allow for all the emails to be pushed from Multiple Exchange Servers?
The first one will setup correctly. But the ones afterwards only allow for sync intervals not push.
Also I have been getting sync errors with my Exchange Server with this particular MAIL.APK compared to the other ones. I might swap them out from another build. When i add more than one Exchange Account to any of the Z or HD Sense MAIL.APK's I get sync errors or contact and calendar sync errors.
The only reason I like to use the MAIL.APK is that the widget is tied to into this MAIL.APK.
I can use the EMAIL.APK from CM 6.1 and it works fine but doesn't have a tie in with the widget which I like.
Any thoughts?

[MOD] Hotspot / USB Tethering on 3.70 OTA

I don't have time to make a flash zip out of this right now, and at this stage this is mostly for other devs, but I have just gotten Hotspot and USB tethering working again on the 3.70 framework.
EDIT: From the combined efforts of Aamikam and I, this seems to be fully working without borking your 4G. Note that this version will disable the vibrate when unlocking. This is a flashable zip. This is for the new 3.70 OTA only.

adb shell mount /system
adb push framework.jar /system/framework/
from recovery...
i attached a zip i made real quick just in case someone else is not sure how.
wipe cache and dalvik... although i think u dont really need to.

4g never worked on wifi tether btw... so im wondering if thats what u mean... or u mean that 4g dont work at all?

It won't turn on 4G after pushing the file. Hotspot does work fine on 3g, as previous hack. But now, when I try to turn on 4G, it tries to turn on for a while and afterward it just says it failed to turn on.

I don't have 4G in my area, but when I enable it it turns on and starts scanning. I think you might have something else going on?

I can also confirm This. When I try to turn on 4g my phone reboots with or without the hot spot on.

im trying to see if i can fix it... i will post something if i can get it... but i think i see whats wrong here.

Can anyone without 4G in their area confirm it also? Everything appears to be working great in my current build. Wondering if the trigger is actually connecting on 4G. Mine turns on and scans with no issues.

Mine turns on and scans once but wont connect. If I try the rescan option it will either do nothing or reboot the phone. I tried a fresh install of the rom and still no go. I also updated the prl and profile still no go.

I ran it again with my signal blocked (don't ask). Same results.

ok... so after digging inside its pretty easy to see that there are entries missing... ones that should still be inside.
im not sure if putting them back there will break the hack or not though...
so im trying it out real quick...
keep in mind that calk tweak was only done on the cmda... smali file... not all over all of the files u change vaelek.
i ported it before from the 3.29 to the 3.30 framework... so i kinda know what he did... but this framework has over 300 different files in it compared to the 3.30 or 3.29.
im happy u had the time to really weed out the files... makes it so much easier now to find whats the differences.
