So OK we started this aria 2.2 project and we have gotten this far we are happy ^^ also with that we also ported a 2.2 legend rom which we were thinking of doing as well but after having both running we only had camera and bluetooth to fix on both xD anyway after having both running we realise we might as well stick to eclair sense there is absolutely no difference except the 2.1 sense is faster and that one is a different build number there is NO difference at all xD so we have decided to stick to 2.1 as it is much better ^^ so as of today this project is being shut down if any devs want to carry on with 2.2 be my guest but don't worry 2.1 shall continue and get faster and hopefully we will do a 2.3 when it's out gingerbread that is lol
PS: Pls don't argue about me closing the sense froyo 2.2 rom im also not happy but what I say above is true so it's more logical and the smarter option to create a better chain and better roms lol also infcat in the time i've been here must be over a year this is the first time I believe I have ever closed a thread bar the donut exception cause of a few ppl lol

set the animations to off and the setcpu to 556mhz with the new ezterry kernel and it fixes lol near enough ^^ well best we could do at the time lol I blame mikeyman77 trying to add jit and edit build.prop for over 6 hours xD

Yes sir, im uploading the link now. I didnt base mine off of his new one because i performed my own optimizations, and he can take full credit for 1.2 and 1.3.

No, Ive never tried his. Id say weve reached a point where most of the Hero ROM's are pretty damn close in speed...Unless someone comes out with a unique idea like BFS, RAM hack, and stuff like that until we start seeing major speed improvements. I will say this is a pretty speedy and stable ROM though.

Need a market fix mate.
Needs touch screen keyboard improvement. Pressing completely off buttons.
Bit slow Rosie is swap enabled? I overclocked and task killed.
But still very nice

Do I need a new SPL and Radio? I have the newest radio (the one you end up with after putting Cyanogen 4.1.99 on, seems to be the one also linked to for hero roms), and I wanna try SenseUI out.

Ok first off i want to apologize for the previous post about the Rom.
But here it is a huge leap for getting gingerbread on our g1s
i am not a developer i just simple tried and failed tried and succeeded
Now here for the unbelievable part this rom is fully functioning other than 3d launcher.
steps in flashing:
Wipe all recommended flashing superwipe
Flash the rom
Flash gapps
Done
Now second i realized it was not getting root access to fix this simply download superuser from the market.
this rom was made for the magic aka mytouch 3g

i have this exact setup on mine right it works great i cannot post screenies cause im tethering from my g1 right now and it would take hours to upload but i can assure it is a great rom try it be the second person to have fully functioning gingerbread on g1 i believe i was the first lol.

C'mon, its just a picture! Maybe I'll try this. So it definitely is fully functioning, for daily use? Other than the browser fc'ing? And is it speedy and battery life is good? Gah, sorry for the questions...I want to try this soon, but I don't have time to waste on roms that don't work perfectly. I'm sure this is a great work though.

im using launcherpro with a nice little gingerbread theme i put togather and it is plenty fast but i also have a 614mhz oc kernel and coming from froyo roms i am used to killing apps all the time. i used it all day at work yesterday before posting and to me its just as good a cm foyo roms

i flashed it on the way to work at 5:30pm and it was on battery when i flashed show it drained the battery a bit but when i got home around 11 and i had around 85%

I've been working on a Legend port with mikeyman. How do you make wifi work? Logcat tell us failed to load wifi driver.

@jcarrz1: lol i know man i had to strip it down completely to get the thing to boot, lol i been trying to enable the cacheto sd hack but having some issues on boot... but yes i will need apps2sd without a doubt... thanks for the tip
@nammit: im not sure yet, im going to try messing with wifi once i get apps2sd working.. i haven't really messed with wifi drivers or camera or anything yet.. but you could try using a cm build for the drivers... i used some files from cm6 for the port over.. mine is also legend based, figured would be the best idea lol
my first priority is possibly apps2sd since i have about 15mb available when its completely stripped down
i will post a link up soon if anoe wants to take a look.. could use all the help i can get if you guys dont mind...? im not greedy lol

@darius99: yes lol place all the files on sd, the mtd remove file is only if you want to get rip of the custom partition layout, so you dont need it untill you decide to do that.
but be sure to follow the steps exactly, be sure to wipe multiple times lol
just flashed and booted.
wifi isnt working and i dont have a file manager so thats basically where my testing ends for now.lol
