A-DATA 16GB Class 6 - Nexus One Accessories

$33.99 with this code...(MLC116509110840NL1) for the first 150 they sell.

I have this card and the transfer rate is on about 3 mbps... disappointing.

I have a 16GB Class 2 SanDisk card. I get 1.5MB/s speed when using the USB cable for my N1. But if I slot this card into the card reader (with adaptor) of my laptop, I easily hit 4.5MB/s.
I think N1 has limited speed capability for USB transfer. This card used to be in another phone before and I got same speeds as card reader with it.

There's a reason A-Data cards are cheap...

Yeah, i think sandisk is the way to go. I had a Ridata class 6 and when i ran speedtest on it, the phone kept thinking it was a class 2. then i bought a sandisk class 2 and it was reading as a class 4. all the cards tested were 16gb.
the only other card i would consider is the kingston class 10 but those are still pretty pricey.

I guess this is why ADATA is cheap and ****....Really.....
http://i655.photobucket.com/albums/uu279/soloxp/1.png

I easily get 8mbps on my adata when on card reader, averages at 3-4mbps on my phone (with Froyo a2sd, old a2sd and /data/data on sd, thats quite lot of stuff)

Go for Sandisk. It's hands down the best sd card

sandisk all the way. Bought a few trascend microsd's were useless.

[Q] 32 gb card ?

Considering getting a 32gb sdhc card for my epic4g. any problems noted? any advice?
You should be fine with about anything, but I have been burned a few times on spending less on SD memory. Buy a cheap 32 and you'll be lucky to get 20. IMHO. That or a Class 6 will really r/w at 2mb.

I recommend the Kingston one that just came out. It's a class 4 as opposed to SanDisk's class 2. I got mine for $87 on Newegg, but it seems they've upped the price to $109 now.
These only seem to be available online though or that is my experience.

[Q] 32GB Micro SD Cards?

Does anyone use a 32GB micro SD in their device? I'm looking to get a class 10 32GB micro SD but I'm not sure what brand/manufacturer to go with or where I can get the best price. Basically, my main priority is to get a safe, reliable, and fast (class 10 preferably) 32GB micro SD. I've never been too educated in the SD memory market, so I was wondering if anyone could help me out. Thanks in advance!
Sandisk is always a good choice. As for class 10, I'm not sure why you need one that speedy. I have 32GB class 2 card and it is plenty fast enough for my g2x.

Oh really? Well that's good to know. (Like I said I'm not too knowledgeable about SD cards.) I'll look up SanDisk on Amazon, I figured they would be a good source. Thanks!
I also found this: http://www.amazon.com/Lexar-MicroSD...1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1306885736&sr=1-1 (as far as class 10 ones go) and the reviews seem to be pretty good. Does anyone know if that manufacturer (Lexar) is reliable?
Here's a few good options. I personally have a 32gb wintec class 10, and that cards been a champ since day one. Class 4 cards are good enough especially since i believe android is limited to class 4 speeds

Thanks a lot! I think I'll go for the wintec class 10 based on your recommendation. That's an interesting observation about Android, but since I'm going to be using the SD card with different devices in the future, I figured I might as well go for the best.
I have a 32gb kingston class 4 and its been running pretty good.
i have two. A class 4 Sandisk and a class 10 Adata. The sandisk seems to work the best. I lost my data on the Adata 3 times and had to return one DOA. While the Adata did have really good speeds it just didnt seem reliable.
Iv never used a 32 but iv had an 8 and a 16 made by A~Data, and have no complaints
dont trust any brands u dont know meng.. there are tonnes of fake cards out there so the best thing to do is to buy from the stores the guys have listed up top.. but if u happen to buy from eBay: here are a list of things to look out for
1) the brand name is Kingston, Sandisk, AData or Lexar - those are known and trusted brands to work with.
2) the class of the disk is displayed on the microSD Card and the class relates to a price - if its a class 10 and its cheap - beware.. safest bet is to go with either a class 4 or a class 6
3) Insure that the Serial number is displayed on the microSD Card.. if you dont see a serial number then ask for one and check via google to insure that it is legit
that is how i got this wicked awesome 32GB Kingston card from eBay for 20 bucks.. i had a 32GB class 10 card from memorex but couldnt make a ext partition with it and thats how i discovered that it was fake
Dane-Elec and Transcend are fine and I am using them in GTab and X10.
I also have Sandisk and using it in G2x.
I have a 32g class 10 from Kingston. It works flawlessly, and you can see the speed improvement. Pick one up here.
Just picked up a ADATA 32gb fron newegg on sale for 49$ + free shipping (Class 4).

Best 32GB Micro SD for Infuse

Hello...
What do I need to look for when purchasing a 32GB Micro SD card for the Infuse? A specific "class"? Speed? Etc?
Thanks...
Brian
I've read good things on sandisk 32 class 2 & 4. Im using a 16gb class 6 that I got from bb for 35 bucks. Works great.

Anything not sold over ebay or amazon 3rd parties!
Does class really matter for a phone like the Infuse? I've read conflicting reviews, saying that anything over class 2 doesn't provide any benefit to the Infuse, and others who swear that anything below Class 6 is terrible for the Infuse. Are there any official stances on this?
I purchased the SanDisk 32GB Micro SDHC Flash Card Model SDSDQM-032G-B35N
and it is a class 2.
I copied the contents of my 16GB card to it and rebooted the phone. I'd say for the next 12-18 hours, it was very slow and choppy. But after that, and to this moment, it is working just fine.
Wonder what the slow down was after the initial install of it?

I'm looking to get the SanDisk class 2 32gb. Is it still acting fine for you? I also seen PNY class 10's "for tablets" for about $10 cheaper than the sandisk is. Wondering if I should go for that or stick with the SanDisk.
Happy with my class 2 32G SanDisk for the last two years
I've used it in a BB Bold, then the Captivate when it came out, and now on the Infuse.
It has always worked great, I manly use it for music storage, but also have about 6G of maps ( for using the GPS outside cell reception).
I'm very happy with it.

Awesome. I think what I would use it for mostly is music and movies...The internal space should be plenty for apps/pics.

not sure how fast the infuse can read but i can tell you in actual benchmarks it is posible to have a class 2 read as fast as a class 6, many cheaper cards are faster than they are rated. also im pretty sure android is designed to minimize i/o. i guess it all depends on the complexity and size of the apps you run off of it and how fast the phone is. when someone says a class4 is good they are basically saying dont waist your money. i tend to agree with that.
I highly doubt the controller in the Infuse has a maximum transfer rate that even comes close to class 6 or maybe not even class 4. The only advantage to the high speed cards is if you put the card in your PC and copy files to it (assuming your SD reader can even handle the higher rates).
That being said I bought the A-Data class 10 16GIG because it was only $20 after coupon a couple weeks ago from Meritline but I have no doubt a class 4 or even 2 would be just fine with no noticeable performance difference.
It's no different that putting a SATA3 drive on a SATA2 controller.

yeah I may just go with the Sandisk 32gb class 2. It's about $12 more expensive than the Adata 32GB class 10's but those are sold out at the moment and Sandisk is a better company IMO anyway.
I've been using a Transcend 32GB Class4 Micro SDHC from newegg. It's amazing! It works great! Fast, large and just straight up works with the phone. Formatted memory for me is 31.6 gigs. Highly recommend it.
Adata 32GB Class 10 in my GS2, Infuse and Berry, no complains here. Transfer speeds much better than Class 2 card that came with phone...at least for my Berry that i regularly use transferring files for work.

Exactly this. Someone over in the HD2 section ran several VERY thorough tests confirming that there's very little difference in a class 2 or class 10 card unless you put the card in an adapter directly.

Working fine? Depends...on a reboot, it can take 5-15 minutes for my apparently to appear. Manage Applications can take the same amount of time. And Market apparently are suddenly getting stuck in perpetual downloading.
But the apps launch and run fine. I have no idea if it is the card or not.

Hi don't bump dead threads. Thanks.

Is a 32gb class 4 sd card worth investing in?

I'm thinking about gettin one for about 20-25$. But do you think micro ad cards are becoming obsolete? I wish I had more space than I do with my 8gb that came with my phone but I make it work. But at the same time I do want another sd card with more space but I think my next phone probably won't even have an sd card slot.

I don't think it's worth it unless you are going to put ALOT of music or videos into your sd card. I use a 16gb sd card and I have over 200 songs in there.

Micro SD cards are not becoming obsolete, sure there are phones that don't have micro SD slots but not that many. Haven't seen any recent phone use a regular SD card though...
Also, the current format SDHC is becoming obsolete, because of the faster and higher capacity XDXC cards. The new XDXC cards can have capacities up to 2tb but it's going to be expensive.
As of the Moment I have a 16gb Sandisk Micro SDHC class 4. Have enough space for several Backups, Apps, Music, and a ton of pictures.
Toms Hardware did a review on 15 cards and the Sandisk class 4 cards surprised them, having speeds rivaling that of class 10 cards.

My friend and I both have Sensations running ARHD with the SebastianFM Kernel.
Then only difference between our phones is that mine has a cheapo no-brand 8Gb SDHC card in it, whereas he bought a Sandisk class 10 32Gb card.
I scored higher than him in both the I/O score of Mandro and the SD card read/write score of Antutu.
I wouldn't worry about what speed class the card is, I doubt it makes much difference in a phone.
i think it's worth it, the class is gonna depend on if you record video. get a class 10 since it's HD video

This is a really good deal.
I bought a class 4 16gb for under 10 dollars from Ebay, with free shipping. I started loading music and realized it wasn't enough.
I went through Ebay again, spend just under 32 dollars, got a 32GB Class 10. The change in transfer rate speeds was amazing. Transfering ROMs from PC to Card started taking a third of the time.
If you plan on investing in one anyhow, spend the few extra bucks to get a class 8 or 10. This is just my opinion.

I got myself an ADATA class 4 32gb one. The speed is acceptable. Cost me ~$35 CAN dollars.
I would prefer Kingston 32 GB class 4 or 6. Or just a class 10 but I needed a SD card for updates and actually use the phone.
My advice:
- Yes it is worth it
- Get a 32GB SD with class 6/10. Trust me. Faster file transfer, faster camera due to saving the picture etc.
- you will feel like a boss when you are next to a 16GB iPhone or built-in fixed smartphone

Hi!
I would rather buy a class 10 16gb just as the others have suggested!
since you probably own a pc/laptop
replacing music and files would be easy if you need extra space.
i had an 8gb iphone 2g before and i thought it wasnt enough. but having a pc made it easier to sync files i needed. but on our sensation - i suppose having the max capacity storage is a caveat.
just my two cents.

Anyone using A SanDisk64GB microSD Card In Their Fascinate?

hi... so sandisk 64gb UHS-I microsd card works with fascinate on a custom rom... will be any speed difference with the original class 10 microsd cards (non UHS-I) or what do you think about SanDisk Extreme Pro microSD UHS-I 16gb? it's say that it can read up to 95 mbps... will our fascinate be able to use that speed? or it's just some marketing strategy because I read somewhere the sandisk itself claiming that UHS-I are equivalent with class 10...

class 2 do not work well if at all in most all ICS, Jellybean Roms... you need to have at least a class 6, and with pricing these days class 10 8GB or 16GB can be had for cheap

Only because there is no class 12 or 14 etc. UHS-1 cards are considerably faster than the first class10 cards (at least at synchronous read), but the class system considers anything faster to still be class 10, because there is no faster class. Some Sandisk cards return status7 errors when flashing roms to our phones, but it seems to be hit&miss from one card to another.
