[Q] Is my HTC Hero Bricked? - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Hi,
i think i bricked my HTC Hero. I was trying to flash a SPL, when my phone just went black. After that i tried to put it back on, nothing works.
Removed battery, doesn't work.
back+power doesn't work.
home+power doesn't work.
Home+power+back doesn't work.
If i plug it into my laptop or my charger, the orange led will burn. If i hook it into my PS3, my PS3 says an unkown device has been connected. My laptop recognizes nothing.
If i press Volume up+power, while the orange led is burning, my phone will vibrate 3 times and green led starts to light up. Thats everyting it does.
If i press any other combination with power, the orange led will stop lighting too.
Can someone help me out please?

UPDATE!!
now when i plug in my charger, the LED goed orange first, and after that it goes green. So my battery is fully charged now i guess?
Would really appriciate the help in fixing my Hero

[Q] !!!HELP!!! my Xperia Ray won't run in flashmood!!!!

Hello!
my phone is dead. it can't boot!
when I plug it into the charger I get red flash blinks (which means it was charging).
then I wait couple hours.
it is IMPOSSIBLE TO RUN FLASHMODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I keep pressing vol. down button then I plug it. NO GREEN LED no NOTHING!
even the hard rest won't work!!!
Please help me! (I am not able to install drivers also!)
what shall I do?????

Just flashes on startup. Black Screen

I got an HTC One S from a friend who got it from another friend. I don't have any history on the device. He gave it to me to fix because I'm the only Android user he knows and his phone won't start.
If I keep the power button pressed, the capacitive buttons flash exactly 15 times and occasionally the phone vibrates. I don't have a One S so not sure if that indicates that phone was started or shutdown.
Neither fastboot devices not adb devices shows the device. But every once in a while when it vibrates, if the phone is connected to the PC with a USB cable, it beeps - like it's connected. I don't see Android Phone in Device Manager. But I see a MTP USB Device with a yellow exclamation mark. Uninstalling and reinstalling HTC Drivers didn't fix the problem.
I have tried Power+Volume Down key. Shining a torch on it (seemed to work for a few people), keeping it plugged into the mains for 3 days, kept it in the freezer for 2-3 minutes (also seemed to work for one person).
I think when I first got the phone and plugged it into the mains, I saw a red charging light. But I may be mistaken. In any case, there is no light anymore indicating charging. But I don't think that's the problem.
I have no idea whether the device is bricked or not. And if there is any way to fix it. Samsung has Odin which makes any Samsung phone practically unbrickable. I haven't used any HTCs since the G1 so have not been in touch too much with the HTC development. But from reading, it seems that messing around with Romming with S-ON can cause the phone to be bricked. And perhaps that's what my friend or his friend did. Does this sound like that's what could have happened?
Thanks for any pointers.
I dont think the device is bricked. its just a little harder to press the power and volume down when you see the buttons flashing.
just check and do these steps.
connect the mobile to charger and see if the orange light comes and stays on
if the orange light is there, press the power button and keep your finger ready near the volume down button
you should keep the power button pressed and as soon as the orange light disappears you should press the volume down button until you end up in boot loader screen
give this a few tries and see if the device boots up in bootloader

The problem is that I no longer see any light at all when I connect the phone to a charger. It's probably fully charged. Would that show a green light? If so, that's not visible either. I have a feeling that the bootloader has got wiped out or something.
I read in one post that the phone may be stuck in the QHUSB-DLOAD mode.
So I followed the steps in http://unlimited.io/qhsusbdload.htm. But that didn't help. I don't remember the exact statement since I was running an Ubuntu Live CD. But the gist was that it couldn't connect to the phone so presumably it's not stuck in QHUSB-DLOAD mode. Although the site states that it will NOT fix QHSUSB_DLOAD issues encountered by flashing ROMs - which may well be what may have happened.
I understand that running an RUU for the HTC One S may set it back to factory state. But for that I need fastboot to work.

[Q] One S wont charge or turn on

Woke up one morning and the phone was stuck on the startup screen. Turned it off, and when I rebooted, it still was stuck on the startup screen. Then, after a day or two, it would not reboot at all. no red light when plugged in charger. also when its plugged to pc, pc is making sounds like its plugged and then unplugged many times. is it possible to fix it? or its dead motherboard?
Are you able to access the bootloader?? By pressing volume down and the power on button simultaneously while no cable is connected to the phone?

try to put it on charge by plug in to a normal electric socket and check the device reaction.
If you get positive reaction which means LED ON , or battery recharge etc then you are good to go in to the next level which means...
Plug your device in to your PC/laptop. If it gets again with "not recognizing" try different USB port.
If all the ports showing you the same problem, try to find another cable. If you get again the same problem try to find another PC to test if there is recognizable.
these are the first steps you should so before i suggest you anything else. We have to make sure that your device is in a working state.

My honor 4C doesn't charge and the led flashed Red Green Green 3 times but no power

When I connect it to the charger it glows red green green and repeats for 2 times after. If I connect it to the PC and turn it on, the PC makes a connected device sound but still it doesn't turn on. Anyone here knows what it is? Is it bricked?
No clue and found little on a Google search.
If you can easily disconnect the battery, try that.
Better if you can command it to do a hard reboot.
A hard reboot can sometimes resolve issues.
May be a hardware failure.
