[Q] HTC TOUCH 2 Sensitivity - Touch2 Themes and Apps

Are There any '.cab' or Registry Edits that can help increase the sensitivity on my HTC Touch 2.
Many Thanks.
I have noticed that the HTC Touch 2 works much faster if the nail is used , but i guess that this is because it is more like a stylus , but as i really don't have the time to be taking out my stylus every-time i want to use my phone i would like to know if there is any other ways around it.

Is it working fine?

Don't really think it will work. Sensitivity is influenced by the OS AND (!) the screen's abilities. I think that you can't really increase it. I can't say for sure though, I'll ask my dad for his Touch2 to try it out some time later.

for me, not working

This really works. My Touch2 is now a lot more sensitive and is much easier to use. I recommend every one who uses a touch2, as the touchscreen sensitivity is very bad, to download and install this. It works perfectly. Before whenever I recieved a call, and attempted to answer it, clicking the answer button, it would never answer and it end-call. NOW IT WORKS PERFCTLY.

Thanks , it s really work

Thanks
its really works on HTC Touch VIVA

Hello!

Is that even possible?
I doubt it, how would it be callibrated?
I just need something that tells me what the decibel is?
can't we do that via the mic?
im using it for a project and def don't want to buy a machine that does it.
I don't need very accurate results.
thanks!
deciBel metering
Maybe something like this ?
http://www.clickapps.com/download.htm?pvid=1054&PHPSESSID=32c565e519d59623ed3e8e79647dd6fc
Try this, but as mikechannon states accuracy could be a bit out due to varying device microphone hardware.
Worked for me OK, I was using it to measure exhaust noise on rally & track cars & was within 5 to 9 decibels accuracy with other meters.
Can run on WM2003SE/WM5 & WM6
Let me now if it works for you.
PS, read the notes file, the password for the Soundmeter.rar is; magic
I zipped the rar for upload compatibility
sound meter looks nice, but doesn't seem to work for my 8125
the dbs keeps staying at 0 and only moves when i press buttons, when on silent.

cheap DB meters are cheap(not to mention not very accurate)... im not sure where you are located but i believe scocshe (or something like that) makes one and it sells real cheap... like around $20 USD... but you cant have my audiocontrol
Sound level meter for WM 6.1 (HTC touch HD)?
Hi there,
I downloaded the program you mentioned but it did not work on my HTC touch HD, it said the program was not one it could handle. Doe anyone know a nice decibel meter and or analyser of sound which is compatible with HTC touch HD?
I am really looking for it!
Thanks !
does not work on the tilt tried both versions, i installed to the storage card hopefully that wont make a difference.
PocketRTA (commercial) might work on HD, didn't try it myself, but I used a demo on other HTC devices in the past.

it seems to work very well on my touch cruise (pocket RTA pro 1.3), i was also looking for this kind of app

Hi,
nice Tool, but iPhone/iPod only.
with friendly greet
starbase64
There was an okay tool over at PPCGeeks in their 6.1 kitchens.. I can't remember the name. I can't vouch for it's accuracy either but it did what I needed it for (told me if my music was aprox. too loud.) It was 80% translated from what I guess to be Farsi (all english save some of its popups.) Worked fine on WiMo 6.1 standard and pro.
Any new development for this?
Hi sounds like a fun idea, but why would anyone actually want one?
Especially why would anyone consider paying money for it?
You can only use it for a gimick and if it's giving accuracy to within 5-9dB as reported in the earlier posts that awful!
If you don't already know: 3dB is a doubling in sound pressure level!!! 9dB is the difference between one speaker and 3!
Looks fun though.

It's right in the quote you made. If you're still confused, it's "magic" (without the quotation marks).

What's the bad?

Wow,,,, the touch pro forum is saturated with a wide variety of complaints! Can my fellow xda'ers tell me what is the Touch Pro's universal drawbacks? I know that most consider the screen to be a tad small. I think real user insights are much better than "Professional" reviews.
just sold my omnia and got a Touch Pro
I'm totally happy, this keyboard is awesome!
keyboard is the best, 5 rows including a row for numbers.... excellent.
I don't see that many complaints.
Here are the main problems with the Touch Pro:
!- GPS lags!
2- Camera application is buggy! Slow zoom, touch and focus works only after a dumb picture, after some focuses the auto focus stops to work. I tested it with 3 phones.
4- virtual keyboard(SIP) keeps popping up when using the real keyboard.
3- HTC don't replay to support emails and don't have a ROM update to fix these bugs.

why won't HTC have a ROM update? They offered an update when diamond first came out, I hope they'd offer more updates as TP rolls out in more countries.
100% of that complaint can be fixed with a rom update, those aren't even that many complaints and remember the phone isnt even out yet in the US, most of those complaints originated from users in the US with unlocked european versions that were never meant to be used in the states. Now thats not to say the phone doesn't need work but all those problems could be fixed easily with an update.
I agree that all the complaints could be solved by a ROM update, but I am holding to use it as my primary phone, till a firmware update comes, but I am really disappointed with HTC support.
I am not an USA user...
And I am still using my old P1i as my primary phone, at least the camera works very well, the alarms always work and I don't need to reset it all the time as the Touch Pro.
So maybe the touch pro isn't a fat brick with a tiny screen, a lousy dpad, lagging GPS and half buggy apps? A good keyboard and a high res screen doesn't redeem these issues really.
I sure wish there were something better out there for us. So far a shocking 80% of users are happy.
I am over all very happy with mine, yes it is slow at times and buggy. It will get better over time. My iphone was rubbish I could not restore like I can with my pro. Also having the sat nav is fantastic. I use it purely for emailing, phone and sat nav nothing more and it does them all great.
Well I'm happy with my TP, helped me find this place and managed to pick some great advice and tips up on the way
I think how much you paid greatly affects your satisfaction with the phone. I was very happy with my Fuze, but not happy enough to keep it for the $1,000 I sold it for. When it comes out for $300, it will be well worth the money. It will even be worth the $550 it will sell for without contract with AT&T, but not $1,000.
the mentioned buggy issues in earlier posts are indeed a bit annoying. but overall it is a very nice and goodlooking phone. The keyboard is absolutly brilliant, specialy for me as a former HTC touch user. So, although i am waiting for some updates from HTC, i really am happy with this phone.

Why care for support emails when you have a great device?
Hey jamespaulritter, I've started a thread with most frequently TP issues (and solutions/work-around):

Because TP out of the box has some annoying bugs. And the fix for this issues should come from htc.
I remember reading somewhere that the Earphone volume was very low and an issue. Surprised no one mentions that in this thread.
I am contemplating buying one once it is available in my country but I want to be doubly sure before I buy one because I will be using it as my primary phone.
I would love to hear your experiences.
Most of the problems dissapear when I disabled touchflo, only thing still there is the gps-lag witch is a big problem.........so I am not very happy.
Best Phone I've Ever Owned...can't Wait For The Hd!
I am very happy with my phone overall. All of the performance issues were solved with a few minor tweaks, I know I will find it even better once i get around to loading up a cooked ROM.
GPS does lag, but there seem to be a number of tweaks to help this and personally i find the gps does work, just not that well. My last phone didn't have a gps. Future roms and cooked roms alike will fix these minor issues, the phone hasn't even been out long, give people some time to work with it.

That's definitely a software issue, my Fuze had the AT&T ROM and I can tell you it had no GPS lag at all. It was as good as any GPS unit I've ever used, no less a phone.

Awesome G-sensor animated lock application

Can anyone port this to the HD2 ????????

You just can download it here: *CLICK*

Yes this looks great ,but how to download it? on developers site there is no download link ...
Ups got it
click on the title of the post.. then it will forward to the download
Hmm doesnt work.Error.....
This is what the site says about S'Skin Lock
S’Skin Lock Application has 1 setting menu to set locking time and screen backlight.
Currently they are working on Samsung Omnia only, I have tested them on HTC HD2 too but they aren’t running. If any of our readers got them to work on their devices let us know.
it's on
http://www.wmskins.com/blog/sskin-lock-new-animated-lockscreen-application-for-windows-mobiles
must have hardware detection inside, even on samsung it only work on certain model.
i would like to have that 2
i checked and it requires the flashlite_mmi.dll
it is available in Omnia2 dump OS.nb.
Dont know if it uses any more sensors from Omnia. I would like also to use this one on HD2. Any more advance ppl could help maybe?
Deleted.......
has anyone contacted the developers regarding a htc compatible version?
We can try to install the adobe flash lite 2.1. Now I can swtich on the setting button in the startMeun. But the srceen lock still can't run. >_<

Whether I have sent an e-mail having asked there will be a support of other phones. I look forward to hearing. And program YellowMan, Butterfly I have started on the HD2 but G-sensor does not work in the program.
But the blocking picture is displayed also an unblocking works correctly. In Butterfly the butterfly flies at a touch to the screen as is shown in video, but the back background is static.

I completely understand: The iphone is a toy, the HD2 is a powerful device with endless productivity possibilities... But why does that have to mean that the opposite is also true - Only the iphone can have cool toys? Never understood that argument...

[APP] Touchscreen Booster (Increase touch sensibility, smoothness, multitouch)

Hey xda followers!
I have a hardware problem with my Transformer since the beginning and was too lazy to change it by a new one...
My problem is that I use my device with no problem but sometimes I am loosing touch inputs...
If I let the Transformer go into sleep mode alone and unlock it, I have to force lock and unlock again to have good touch responses back...
Then I can have a good session of 30 minutes of use without any problem and then, randomly, touch input precision is lowering, until I can't use it anymore and I must lock and unlock rapidly again...
Very annoying problem for sure...
But today I decided to search through google, forums, xda, to have a beginning of solution to my problem.
And I found THE Touchscreen Booster application.
It's an application that was made for Viewsonic G tablet at the origin. The famous Bumblebee discovered it at first so thanks to him for that. And the thread talking about that is from gojimi. He modified the application to be more easily usable. So thanks to him too!
Being an android application and having titanium backuped all my applications, I thought: why not trying!
So I installed it and launched it... AND... TADAAA! Just incredible. It worked, no problem at all, no force close, no freeze, nothing.
AND: touchscreen inputs are incredibly smoother, sensitivity has been greatly improved, response time between writing letters is better, multi touch is improved... It's just paradise. I don't know if you tried Ipad but the result is that type of sensitivity...
This application can be used by all types of roms and for people who have problems with touchscreen sensitivity or just want a bigger one
Please leave here your feedback, positive or negative, and remember, do it at your own risks, I am not responsible of the potential problems after applying this application.
It worked for me, my Transformer had never been so smooth, so why not yours!
Maybe you will have to launch the application some times, when you feel that sensitivity was better before, or after boot... But you can put the application on your desktop and touch the button FixMe!
Share, enjoy, and say thanks

Seems to have worked for me....the keyboard doesn't seem that much more responsive though...the screen transitions are alot more smooth.
Thanks for this find!!!!

Happens to mine sometimes, I just turn the screen off with the power button, and then back on and its fine again
Thanks for the apk though I`ll try it out
Wow, nice. My touchscreen was a little slow and not very sensitive to touch input. running the app has helped quite bit.
Omg this is perfect.
Can you link the original thread.

This probably edits something in build.prop and other system files, so yes. I'll confirm this once I try it.
EDIT: Doesn't require root. I feel no difference though...

Well, when you launch it, there is no SuperUser action popup to allow the application so I am not sure that you need to have root access...
And, yes, it has an effect on every touch app (try writing a message before and after applying the apk or try playing angry birds, there is a big difference)
Sent from my Transformer TF101
SO i gave this a shot and some aspects do seem smoother to me. None of the handwriting apps i tested were any diff as before the test.
I already had what i felt is a smooth responsive touch screen, but was curious to see if it was going to get any better.
QUESTION: when you run the app it says after hitting the calibration button "Follow the directions exactly"
I hit the button and it says calibrating screen dont touch, but no other directions.
Am i missing something here or is that the extent of the directions...
All in all not sure if it is just a placebo or if it is actually smoother. I suppose others with really bad touch response may see an effect.

No, it really is not a placebo, believe me. It was even more noticeable in my case (read my first post about my hardware problem) but even when my device was ok, it wasn't so smooth as it is right now.
For the instructions, you don't miss anything.
The important thing is "DO NOT TOUCH SCREEN WHEN CALIBRATING" because it could screw up the calibration, and if you do the opposite, the result would be that you wouldn't be able to use the device anymore, because not being able to relaunch calibration (if you have the dock, no problem at all )
That's all

So, to people who tried this application, what is your appreciation now after one week of use?
Anyone for some feedback for who has used it for about a week now?
With my TF I have a "dead" / "very unresponsive" line (about 5 mm wide) under the camera over the length of the screen.
This is very annoying when opening the market (difficult to select the search field) or when trying to tap the taskbar when the TF is rotated 180 degrees.
Sometimes it works normally, so I do not know if it is the ROM / Kernel or just unresponsive hardware.
Could this solve it?

Why not testing it if you have it and report here, and if it works, in archos 101 forum too?

Unresponsive display in games

Hey guys, I have gotten my Flex 2 a few days ago, I'm really enjoying it and like it. However, I have a problem that whenever i turn on a game, the display seems kinda unresponsive and I have to put a great force on it and it finally gets the touch. Any ideas on how to fix this? It's quite annoying.

It's really weird. But it's not like the display didn't work. It's only the game windows. Because when you take down the notification bar, it works flawlessly even with the slightest touch. Dang, i hope there's a solution for this.
what version do u have ?
I have the H955, running latest version of software.. It seems rather software fault than hardware though.
Alright, so I managed to fix the problem by disabling the Touch zoom option in the Accesibility tab seems like it had a problem with games. Also double-tap to like feature in Instagram app didn't work, so I tried it out.
thanks for the solution.
