Unresponsive display in games - LG G Flex 2

Hey guys, I have gotten my Flex 2 a few days ago, I'm really enjoying it and like it. However, I have a problem that whenever i turn on a game, the display seems kinda unresponsive and I have to put a great force on it and it finally gets the touch. Any ideas on how to fix this? It's quite annoying.

i noticed this on the H955 also . had a H950 before and that one was a lot better

It's really weird. But it's not like the display didn't work. It's only the game windows. Because when you take down the notification bar, it works flawlessly even with the slightest touch. Dang, i hope there's a solution for this.

what version do u have ?

I have the H955, running latest version of software.. It seems rather software fault than hardware though.

Alright, so I managed to fix the problem by disabling the Touch zoom option in the Accesibility tab seems like it had a problem with games. Also double-tap to like feature in Instagram app didn't work, so I tried it out.

thanks for the solution.

Yeah, no problem. It was biting me for the past couple of days, and it was that easy to fix... Well It's not a bad feature, it just doesn't work as it was intended to, I suppose.

[APP] Touchscreen Booster (Increase touch sensibility, smoothness, multitouch)

Hey xda followers!
I have a hardware problem with my Transformer since the beginning and was too lazy to change it by a new one...
My problem is that I use my device with no problem but sometimes I am loosing touch inputs...
If I let the Transformer go into sleep mode alone and unlock it, I have to force lock and unlock again to have good touch responses back...
Then I can have a good session of 30 minutes of use without any problem and then, randomly, touch input precision is lowering, until I can't use it anymore and I must lock and unlock rapidly again...
Very annoying problem for sure...
But today I decided to search through google, forums, xda, to have a beginning of solution to my problem.
And I found THE Touchscreen Booster application.
It's an application that was made for Viewsonic G tablet at the origin. The famous Bumblebee discovered it at first so thanks to him for that. And the thread talking about that is from gojimi. He modified the application to be more easily usable. So thanks to him too!
Being an android application and having titanium backuped all my applications, I thought: why not trying!
So I installed it and launched it... AND... TADAAA! Just incredible. It worked, no problem at all, no force close, no freeze, nothing.
AND: touchscreen inputs are incredibly smoother, sensitivity has been greatly improved, response time between writing letters is better, multi touch is improved... It's just paradise. I don't know if you tried Ipad but the result is that type of sensitivity...
This application can be used by all types of roms and for people who have problems with touchscreen sensitivity or just want a bigger one
Please leave here your feedback, positive or negative, and remember, do it at your own risks, I am not responsible of the potential problems after applying this application.
It worked for me, my Transformer had never been so smooth, so why not yours!
Maybe you will have to launch the application some times, when you feel that sensitivity was better before, or after boot... But you can put the application on your desktop and touch the button FixMe!
Share, enjoy, and say thanks

Seems to have worked for me....the keyboard doesn't seem that much more responsive though...the screen transitions are alot more smooth.
Thanks for this find!!!!

Happens to mine sometimes, I just turn the screen off with the power button, and then back on and its fine again
Thanks for the apk though I`ll try it out
Wow, nice. My touchscreen was a little slow and not very sensitive to touch input. running the app has helped quite bit.
Omg this is perfect.
Can you link the original thread.

i am curious if this will have an effect on any of those handwriting apps we know and love.

This probably edits something in build.prop and other system files, so yes. I'll confirm this once I try it.
EDIT: Doesn't require root. I feel no difference though...

Well, when you launch it, there is no SuperUser action popup to allow the application so I am not sure that you need to have root access...
And, yes, it has an effect on every touch app (try writing a message before and after applying the apk or try playing angry birds, there is a big difference)
Sent from my Transformer TF101
SO i gave this a shot and some aspects do seem smoother to me. None of the handwriting apps i tested were any diff as before the test.
I already had what i felt is a smooth responsive touch screen, but was curious to see if it was going to get any better.
QUESTION: when you run the app it says after hitting the calibration button "Follow the directions exactly"
I hit the button and it says calibrating screen dont touch, but no other directions.
Am i missing something here or is that the extent of the directions...
All in all not sure if it is just a placebo or if it is actually smoother. I suppose others with really bad touch response may see an effect.

No, it really is not a placebo, believe me. It was even more noticeable in my case (read my first post about my hardware problem) but even when my device was ok, it wasn't so smooth as it is right now.
For the instructions, you don't miss anything.
The important thing is "DO NOT TOUCH SCREEN WHEN CALIBRATING" because it could screw up the calibration, and if you do the opposite, the result would be that you wouldn't be able to use the device anymore, because not being able to relaunch calibration (if you have the dock, no problem at all )
That's all

So, to people who tried this application, what is your appreciation now after one week of use?
Anyone for some feedback for who has used it for about a week now?
With my TF I have a "dead" / "very unresponsive" line (about 5 mm wide) under the camera over the length of the screen.
This is very annoying when opening the market (difficult to select the search field) or when trying to tap the taskbar when the TF is rotated 180 degrees.
Sometimes it works normally, so I do not know if it is the ROM / Kernel or just unresponsive hardware.
Could this solve it?

Why not testing it if you have it and report here, and if it works, in archos 101 forum too?

S8+ being laggy?

So my wife and I both got s8+ when they first got released. It seemed as if when we first got the phones, they were running flawlessly and fast as hell. Now a month or so later, both our phones seem laggy and sluggish. I always run device maintenance on both to keep things cleared up. Dunno what else to try. Wish we had root already so I can get rid of all this bloat and unnecessary stuff. Any recommendations from anyone? Dunno if maybe debloating apps or programs with a app is possible without root?

So doing a factory reset didn't help? I've tried wiping cache in recovery several times and it doesn't seem to help much.
I'm just waiting for the OnePlus 5 . This lag isn't horrible but unacceptable at this point.

Have you checked who the offenders are in your phone? Which apps/processes are running the most and see if they are 3rd party apps that ruin the experience.
Have you tried changing launchers, maybe try Nova

I never faced any issues or lag except *bixby* for sure. I am using the exynos variant here i am not sure if it's something related to snapdragon chipset or not but
* we encountered lots of problems with note 4 snapdragon variants with emmc bug failure. The nand seems to be corrupted within 2 years and no solution for this kind of problem unless you buy a new motherboard
I bought this phone month a go and it runs as fast as it should
* my only advice for you is to try enabling debug GPU overdraw under developer option google it, definitely it's a 3rd party app causing this problem but in both phones i doubt.

Are you guys using any of the Bye Bixby remapping apps? I had a slight lag but after uninstalling the app it's completely gone. By slight I mean I notice a little stutter when scrolling through my apps in settings, other than that nothing to complain about.

Yeah see how much free space you have left... on your internal memory? I have noticed that my phone is filling up with all sorts of crap from a couple games I play and stuff the little advert videos and stuff it's taking up gigs of space...
The only place I see lag in the UI was when using the stock launcher. On the Snapdragon S8+ that i have the launcher that came with the phone is the worst performing launcher I've had out of the box in my 5 years of buying Samsung phones.

Choppy and laggy scrolling every 3 seconds

Hi
Weird problem with my device (3 months old), after playing for a while with the device it suddenly starts to make these weird choppy and laggy scrolling every 3 seconds, like it is doing something in the background, i see it when scrolling, when playing, when facebooking or anything else.
I downloaded apps to see if the CPU is workng without touching it, couldnt see anything in the background unless i touched the phone.
Can it be something bad within the Oreo 8.1 code? This is really ruin the user experience i have with it, making it work sometimes likek my old Meizu or even worse.
It goes awaay after rebooting, or after a while by itselfe.
I clean the RAM always, i stopped lots of permission apps to work in the background but cant see the difference.
Any suggestions?
I also had this problem. It completely disappeared when I made a software update.
I think it was temporarily fixed by turning on "deactivate HW-Overlays" in the developer settings. However, as far is I've read, this could decrease battery performance.
Greetings
Thanks ill try it, but i do have the 8.0 version** after an OTA update after i got the phone..

UI Lag fixable with a reboot

Hi peeps. I recently bought a Poco X3 and yesterday i noticed pretty prominent UI Lag. Apps stuttered while opening. While using whatsapp opening chat threads felt like using a 4 year old phone. After scrolling through threads someone had suggested rebooting and after i rebooted the lag was gone and it was smooth as hell again.
Anyone else experienced this scenario? Any permanent fixes?
Any help would be highly appreciated guys
Thank you!
Same here. I just hope they'll fix it on the next update.
I've been facing the same issue man since I bought my Poco x3 in Pakistan..seems like you're from there too idk..and it happened like this that I felt stuttering and slower animations..when multitasking..and also whole scrolling in WhatsApp..it really didn't felt smooth..this happened on both 60 and 120hz..now after the mui 12.6 update..I'm running it on 60hz and without restart it's going smooth for now..have to see how longer it stays like this..there's no other prominent issue with the device except this..just needing more software optimisations I guess. Also man can you tell me that if after restarting Ur device runs smoothly for how long..because the same happened with my device too but then the lag kept on returning..
Also I'm curious..if you're running on mui 12.6? Can you check the update settings and see if you can view the update log..or the what's new button..because I can't unfortunately..it's a bug as people say with this current update..but If you can check and tell me then it would help

yep i'm from Pakistan. Probable that it' something with our variant? but feels good to know that it's not only me so the probability of a faulty device is ruled out. But to answer your question, i could not rule out the exact time after which it starts lagging again because since this happened it kinda became an anxiety; figuring out when it's gonna die down again
so i rebooted twice after that. but i highly doubt it's a hardware issue. probably software. Sad after investing 40k but let's see what happens. Fingers crossed!
