I had to do a factory reset on my SGS after the wifi kept switching itself off and was advised that was the only solution. I had unlocked my phone from Orange to put an O2 sim in it - now I am getting a Sim Network Unlock message and it will not accept the original code I used (I have rechecked it again and again) - can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong? My phone was working fine until I removed my sim and put it back in. Now I seem to be locked out! Thanks in advance!

So here is the story of my cappy:
Its on 2.1 jh7. No root, mods, etc...
I unlocked the phone on jh6 about a month ago via looking inside the phone's file and finding the code since I am studying abroad. I noticed that when I got a sim card on the Orange network in England that when I try to place a call using the orange network, all I hear is garbled rings and when the call is actually connected, I either hear silence or garbled noise. Data and SMS MMS work perfectly on ATT and Orange sims.
Once in a great while if I restart the phone, I can make a call and connect just fine but after that first call, its back to garbled talked.
I didn't notice a difference from jh6 to jh7.
However, if I put my AT&T sim in, I can make perfect calls without interference.
I checked the lock status via entering in *#7465625# and everything is off (Network lock, Network subset lock, SP lock, CP lock).
I have called ATT and Orange countless times and they have no idea how to fix it (although, ATT said I could of only partially unlocked it). I have master reset the phone via going into settings and clicking on factory data reset under privacy.
I also verified that its not the Orange sim that is causing the problem because I brought my ATT HTC Fuze Unlocked from a code provided by ATT and tested a call on the Orange Sim and it worked flawlessly.
Any ideas? Anyone else having a similar problem when unlocking?
I've used the method described in the Sim Unlock thread to generate my code, but I can't get the unlock code request (dialogue box) to come up on the phone. I've turned it off and inserted a different SIM (it was originally O2, now it's GiffGaff, although I believe they use the O2 network) but I don't get the prompt to enter my unlock code. I can scan for networks and register on the O2 network, but I get No Service errors.
Tried a variety of ROMS. I got asked for the code on a Cyanogen one but it always refused it and asked for it at every boot. I've also SuperCID'd to 11111111.
Any clues?
Just reset phone to 1.78 stock and on first boot spotted a message "Restricted Access Changed". Does this mean anything?
So it would appear that putting a GiffGaff sim into an O2 locked phone won't trigger the unlock request. But putting a T-Mobile one in does. It's accepted the code, but I'm still getting 0 bars of reception.
Does anyone has any ideas?
Hi there
I have the network unlock pin for my Sensation but when I put in a different sim from another network the phone just says no sim card inserted and asks for a PIN number.
The phone is locked on 3. I tried with O2, Giffgaff and Vodafone simcards and I get the same thing. The simcards work fine with my older phone and neither of them is locked with a pin number. I tried the default PIN for the respective network and I got a message saying Incorrect Pin. When I enter the unlock code (even though not prompted for that) I get the same message.
Has anyone else had that? Any advice?
Thanks in advance
Having an issue with a newly picked up at&t P907a and looking for a little help.
Love the note pro but when I add a sim the pro recognizes that it has been inserted and a pop up asks to be restarted to connect to the network.
Once restarted it simply says 'no sim installed' and won't let me into the mobile networks part of the android settings to change any networks etc..
Running stock at&t as it has been factory reset.
I've been assured this pro is unlocked but starting to have my suspicious...
Anyone else come up against this?
Thanks.
Call AT&T or go on their website and do live chat, they will look up the IMEI and can unlock it for you.

Thanks Jargin,
So the issue I'm having is because the pro is not unlocked? Have you had the same issue with it saying no Sim installed?
I've been told that if you put in an unsupported Sim in one it will ask for an unlock code rather than just displaying no sim..
No after reboot my device asked for an unlock code. I would take it to a store, maybe someone entered too many won't pin codes, that can happen too.
Hi, I recently got an Infinix HOT 3 LTE. It's a really great phone, but I have a problem with it, my 3G SIM card isn't working properly.
When I insert it and start the phone, the card is detected, I enter my PIN code, then when I try to make a phone call it says "Cellular network not available". I tried switching the SIM card slots, both didn't work for my card. Then I tried to change the network provider manually and all and I also tried changing other cellular network options over and over again but nothing worked, I also tried switching airplane mode on and off. I got frustrated with this problem and I decided to factory reset my phone, but the problem was still there. After that I tried using someone else's 4G SIM card, and it worked, so there's no problem with my phone or SIM slots. My 3G SIM card is fine I think, it works on my old phone, as well as others.
Please help if you can.

Greetings and welcome to assist. Are you sure the phone is compatible with your carriers bands? If you are sure try asking your network provider for a new sim
Good Luck
