Can someone post a video on how to update our captivate to froyo. I been reading for a while now and I'm still lost. I guess it's not that easy compaired to rooting your phone.

Hey guys -
I know this is posted to the wrong forum but since I've got less than 10 posts I can't post it to the serendipity thread in the dev forum.
Anyway, I recently flashed Serendipity 5.9; prior to that I had been running stock Eclair, non rooted.
This is the straight up 5.9 serendipity rom, I modified nothing.
Most excellent rom, but I'm experiencing a problem with the audio/video sync in camcorder. Any video I record has the sound lagging behind by a fraction of a second. Has anyone else seen this?
Would someone mind moving this into the serendipity thread?

There was someone in IRC with a different handle from yours mentioning this problem, and I tried it out, and it's happening to me too.
Not a big deal for me, but definitely something to bring to the attention of the Serendipity devs.
Hey all -
So I looked at some of my old videos I recorded on the stock eclair rom. Turns out that those are slightly out of sync too. Guess I never noticed until I was looking at everything under the metaphorical microscope after flashing Serendipity.
Gotta say, Serendipity kicks ass. Mikey, donation coming your way next time I get paid!

A friend purchased The MID Gpad G30 (Don't ask me why)
(Since I can't post a link go to Google and search for "MID Gpad G30" and it is the first link)
Can't seem to find much of ANYTHING on it for trying to install custom roms. It is very very slow when trying to select or scroll through anything. The video playback was surprisingly good and the camera and camcorder were very surprisingly responsive, but anything else was painful.
Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas of things I could do to get it to at least FROYO 2.2? It has 2.1 but I think 2.2 would be better on it. Or are there any other suggestions to try and make this tablet usable?
It is laughable how slow it is, but then it shows signs of life every once in awhile.
Thanks!
No way of trying to put on a build that is currently out there? This thing needs something!
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy I5801 and a couple of days back, I got the froyo upgrade to DDJP2, through Kies. Although I do notice an increase in speed and the battery life, the one main thing I noticed is that the audio quality, when I'm playing files through my media player, sucks. Its choppy and distorted at times. It was running perfectly fine when I had my 2.1 Eclair OS. The update seems to have ruined the audio quality. Was just wondering if there is any way to fix this since I use my phone a lot to listen to music. HELP!!!!

Probably the new Stagefright drivers. You can disable them. How? I'm not sure on your phone, but I know on my Evo I could flash something that allows me to toggle it.
Thanks for the reply. I read on some forums about a patch from google for stagefright. Would that help?
I just saw that there is a leak of the GB update for the O2x and it apparently has the LG camera. Does that help our phone in any way? Paul O'Brien is working on doing his own thing with it. Once the official one is released, would that help in recovering our old camera back? I know we have the LG cam working but as I understood it the last time it still took pictures at the lower resolution with the FFC and some other things like that.
Since the O2x update has taken longer, I wonder if it has a GB kernel?
The LG cam we have I believe uses libs from this leak which is how it was able to somewhat work for us. I flashed the O2x's 2.3.4 leak and it seemed to work ok. I do remember the ffc for the camera showed me upside down though. The reason I never posted it was because it wasn't reading my baseband so data AND cell reception don't work. I tried messing with it but without any luck. Granted I didn't waste too much time on it.
ok, its been awhile since ive been on here, but I finally got me a sensation. Rooted and flashed a custom rom this morning. Everything seems good so far, but im missing my qik video? Is that just something im going to have to live with since I have gone custom? I can find the APK, but it wont let me install, it says my device is not supported. Ive been searching for a few hours to find info, but havent come across anything at all. Thanks in advance!
I was on ICS and no qik in the market. Went back to GB, and now I have it back? Is qik just not available yet for ICS?
