Hi guys,
as said previously in the Windows Mobile Software thread, Mobbyway is an effective FREE radar detector software, that is now available on Android.
A dynamic release of new versions, a growing and growing amount of users (especially since the beginning of september) and a Winmobile version available. And a really reactive forum and team.
Iphone version should be available in November and the amount of informatics dummies that are using "this high technology phone" (hum hum) will, I hope, really increase again the number of users.
I use this software for 3 months and the number of user has amazingly increased !
Nevermore alone on the road ;-)
As said previously, it's a software written in France but also used in Belgium, Netherlands.
If the law allow it (for instance in Germany this kind of software is not allowed), I think you can use it all over the world (it's just GPS coordinates that are transmitted, and I think they will not be stopped at the border ;-)
You should give it a try, because it's really impressive (and free).
Remember that this kind of software is "cooperative" so, even if there are not many users in the beginning, continue to use it and this will reinforce the community.
That's what we call in French a "snow ball effect" (if this snow ball downs a slope)

What is this app is about?
Internationally useful or just in Europe?
It's a GPS-assisted speed camera alert application
It's an app where users declare radar control they've seen (by transmitting GPS coordinate), either fixed radar or mobile radar control.
The next person using the software who travel close to this location is then warned.
I don't know law in US but it's legal in some European countries (Andorra, Belgium,
Denmark, Finland, France, Great Britain, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain,
Sweden,...)
It's legal because this is not a radar "detector" (which is I suppose illegal in most of the countries ;-) but a way for people to share some informations, in this case places where radar control occurs !
As it is (probably) not prohibited to tell your friend that there is a radar control in a place you know, this kind of software is (probably) not illegal.
Most of european countries seems not to be able to forbid this using appropriate law. (I am not a lawyer).
The issue I have with this software is that it is not clear if it will stay free or not.
I can see already the company using the free users to build up a community and database and then suddently switching to a paid system, using data it got thanks to its users !
Ence I would be careful about this particular software.
Another option on Android is A Bon Entendeur (ABE) and I would trust this one more about staying free. But when I tried it several months ago, I didn't find the software appealing, its UI was slow and unefficient.
where?
where can i dl it? i can't see in the android market (SE x10 mini model e10i, android 1.6)
thank you in advance
Why not use trapster.com (for winmob/android/iphone/blackberry/symbian and even palm) ? They already have an incredible international user base and lots of traps in the DB. Cheers, chris
Would be awesome if this was for the US or more specifically LA, lol.

This is what they say on their website :
"...Mobbyway is totally free during the BETA period. The first activation will be valid for one month and will be extended from month to month for a minimum of six months. After the BETA period, a free version of Mobbyway will be available to everyone..."
I don't know what they will REALLY do, but I think it will stay free (as I read on mobbyway forum). We will see.
By the way the download is here :

Hi,
I have tried Trapster as well and must say I'm not sooo very happy with it. Will give Mobbyway a try as well.
BTW: Apps like Trapster or Mobbyway are NOT illegal in Germany.

That's a good news for our German friends... I read it was illegal.
But on the map provided by Mobbyway I saw some radars warned in Germany.
I hope it will work for you.
By the way I also tried the soft Radarfree but the forum was "dead" and no development nor answer has been done for long months on their forum.
This is really not the case with Mobbyway.
PS : A friend of mine is since yesterday a new user of Mobbyway.
PPS : As I am a native french speaker, if you have problem and you don't understand answers on the forum you can ask me to ask ;-)
I tried Trapster before aswell, it's OK but not convincing so I'll give Mobbyway a shot.
I confirm RadarFree to be a dead project as well.
Thanks or Merci Beaucoup for this suggestion dear belgian co-xda-member
PS:
I would love some kind of software that could merge all databases regarding speedscams, traffic, drug- and/or alcohol control etc. So we have 1 huge central database. Maybe some dev here ever thought about starting this?
Trapster is by far the best imo.
It deletes old posts that haven't been confirmed in a while along with ones that are not confirmed more than once. Play around with the settings and show your friends the program. The more people in your area.that use it, the more accurate it is. Not to mention its only a year and half or so old steming Back to my Windows mobile 6.1-6.5 days.

Trapster seems to be quite a good application, with a lot of users in the US
(I haven't tested it)...
But it seems that you will need a unlimited or huge data connexion subscrition, as Trapster will download maps all trip long.
To limit data connexion, the main page of Mobbyway doesn't show any maps.
There is a possibility to show maps in Mobbyway (livetracking they say) and to predownload maps in the cache (openstreetmap).
Data consumption is 500 ko/hour with main page (these are my accurate measures)
Data consumption is 600 ko/hour with livetracking and maps predownloaded in cache . (idem ;-)
I don't know consumption with livetracking and no maps predownloaded but of course it will be more than this values.
Trapster doesn't run as it should while in background, so its pretty useless.
For some reason it doesn't download new data while its in the background, so you are only alerted for the range it download every time you put the app in foreground.

I like the idea of Trapster or some other functional similar well-designed app.
Though I have been experiencing issues running Trapster (in New South Wales, Australia, usually a few hours north of Sydney) on my Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 running Android 2.2 Froyo.DTJP5. Using the older ver. of Trapster (from early Dec 2010) it seemed to work OK for the couple of trips I did, however after updating it to this newer ver. it rarely completely loads and pretty much freezes whilst apparently loading/generating the map & my location. Will research it more and try a few things to see if I can improve it.

I'm announce I rewrite my program Phone Profiles to be compatibility with Windows Mobile Second Edition.
My goal is: fix all bugs from the previos versions, and design the most understandably and easy to use interface.
To do the best work, I'm awaiting all your comments and suggestions.
For the person who give me most of feedbacks I will give a free copy of the new version.
Below you see first screnshots of new settings dialogs.
As you know, the Second Edition software have to run on 240x240 240x320 480x640 both in portrait and landscape orientation. I designed these dialogs in main area 240x240 always. The title will be move to the right side in landscape mode and will hide in the smaller 240x240 devices.
For Phone Calls, SMS, Email, MSN Messanger and Alert settings all dialogs will duplicate. But in this version there are 2 dialogs for each feature. 1: for general options and 2: for selecting the sound file and volume.
You can notice I added the feature: Reaction. This will allow you to set what your device should do when the new phone call is upcoming or finished. For example you can turn off the device power automatically after your talking will finish. Finally I added here the possibility to turn on the speakerphone mode automatically (without car-set connected).
1st recommendation
...
FIX THE DEAD LINKS ON YOUR WEB SITE!
Now, if you do that, then I might believe you're serious about listening to your customers about bug fixes.
I apologize about being so harsh, but you've really irked a lot of people.

:?:
excuse me: which one (link)?
I thought I updated some pages lately.
question
Can you set repeating alert for missed calls and SMS?
sms reply
As you can see above (refresh, I just added more screenshots):
I added the auto-reply message for SMS.
8)
The feature of SMS arrived sound has the following values:
Sound: nothing
Sound: once
Sound: normal
Sound: longer ( = 2x)
Sound: longest ( = 5x)
I dont think the continuous repeat is necessary. It is danger because it can discharge your battery (for example when you use PPC with no fully charged battery, long day).
If you really want a looooong sound of SMS, just make your own sound with a long time of playing. As I did it for my friend some time ago.
More than four profiles would be very useful, JGUI. Example:
Normal (medium sounds, no vibrate: desktop)
Loud (loud sounds, vibrate: pocket)
Quiet (tiny sounds, no vibrate: late evening)
Vibrate (no sounds, vibrate: cinema)
Silent (no sounds, no vibrate, light flash: sleeping)
That is the only thing missing from My|Phone Profiles Version 3.1, which IMHO is still excellent software and works perfectly for me.
Version 5 was not good. Too many features, and too many bugs.
Keep it simple and make it work perfectly! Good luck with the new version.
ok
with respect to your suggestion:
less features
5 profiles will be
or maybe to be more conveniently I will give the selector: 3/4/5 profiles
thx

(maybe I should ask the author: why his copied my design of interface - icons placements, features)
For WM2003 Second Edition? Who would want that? The first Second Edition WM2003PE will be out sometime in June/July? The Motorola? Then It will take another 2-3 months before O2, I-Mate, Qtek provide upgrade to WM2003 SE. Serioously, shouldn't you put developing Phone Profile Seriously for WM2003SE at the bottom of your priority list and start listen to your customer first and fix all the bug that is still there in the current version. You probably should have at least 5 betatesters with different providers to test it for you before releasing to the public. Not using your paid customers as betatesters. This would be my suggestion for you.
I have not try your software yet and seeing so many unhappy posters in your thread I am a little bid reluctant to try especially when PocketZenPhone is working fine and Free.

Maybe you should ask the author why his software is working as expected, as opposed to the current version of Phone Profiles
As for the icon placement and features etc., Zendrui is listening very carefully to the users of his software, and his speed of implementing features requested by users/testers is awesome!
Give your product for free to be even with your customers
JGUI,
I bought your product and I was very disapointed because it never worked, even mor, the people from handango returned me the money.
I think that when you had a stable product you should give it for free just to compensate all the people you damaged.
excuse me
I have many customers use this program without problems. I'm too.
I dont understand why should be a free. This is my time of working. And "time is a money".
All my software has trial free versions. You can always test the trial version before you decide to pay. I think it's honour.
By the way, I made a few another freewares.
hey pal...you got to fix your problems first before venturing into Second Edition...
learn to walk before you run...
just my advice to you
Product should be free
JGUI,
You say the product should not be free because you spent your time writing it. We don't care how long it took you to write it--we care about whether the damn thing works!
How would you like to test drive a car for 30 days, only to find out it's running on 7 of the 8 cyclinders and 5th gear doesn't work!!! DO YOU CARE HOW LONG THE MANUFACTURER SPENT BUILDING IT? Hell no!
So, LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS and make a product that works. I think PocketZenPhone identified a need in the marketplace, recognized deficiencies in development and filled the gap with a good product!
Many-a-great software programmers cannot run a buisness. It sounds like you're headed down that path.
WE ARE YOUR CUSTOMERS--LISTEN TO US!

Ough! Basically you're saying "Well, since I cannot reproduce the problems some of my customers are facing, and other customers have no problems at all, I will not look into the issues some of my customers came up with."
In other words, you're like an internet Service Provider's helpdesk who doesn't care about the 2% people who are having odd problems...

If you are talking about this version as " Windows Mobile Second Edition Version" Then you are a big liar because this version is not even available yet?
Are there any good apps for pilots, there are tons of them on the iPhone. The only one I find is EfisCE...
Nobody? Guess this shows the real weakness of the HD2 vs iPhone ...
I don't see how you can justify the HD2/WinMo not having applications for such a specific market niche a 'weakness'.
That's true. The real weakness is that WM is on so many platforms with so many different hardware specs that a unified app approach is almost impossible. I am frustrated with this atm as well - some apps simply don't run or have bugs, some need a special version etc... I hope this mess gets cleaned up with WM7!

What I indeed meant was the unavailability of such a niche apps for an OS that exists for more than 10 years, and has plenty of them for a phoneOS that exists 3 years (and the apps only 2 years...). That must say something in general no?

The real reason is to "show off" in the cockpit, just to say "look what my phone can do, exactly the same as these million Euros instruments ... "
Oh and also a lot of pilots have the iPhone, I just want to show them also that there are other -better- PDAPhones on the market ...
I was just thinking, a pilot using Manilla-based apps oughtta be kicked in the nut.. err shins.
Same goes for hardly certified iPhone apps, but that aside.

I've seen many aviation GPS apps for WM these past years... here are a few:
- Navgps
- PocketFMS
- Jeppesen Mobile
I remember a friend buying an ipaq PocketPC just for aviation like 7 years ago...
It's actually pretty much the opposite, there are many apps, but they are now getting so old they're being forgotten, and not much new or good-looking has come recently...
The iphone has things like Air Navigation Pro, very nice and convenient to use.
Wont a phone bring the plane down anyway?
Pilots should be leading by example, unless all the phone/plane stuff is just a load of crap....

Tnx, I'll look into those programs. I however did use during my training one of those programs on my Cassiopeia E-125. This in combination with a GPS, worked fine. Now however it does not run on WM6.5 anymore. I even contacted the maker, but no response (already 2 weeks ago) ...

A phone will not bring a plane down they can at most disturb the radio frequencies. Depending of the company you fly, there are other policies.
In the cockpit, we do turn off the phone (wifi, GSM, GPRS...), but we are allowed to use the phone as a calculator, agenda, gps receiver (GPS does not send any signals).

OK. No idea about WM6.5 as I don't have an HD2 yet, but at least NavGPS and PocketFMS run fine on my WM6.1 Kaiser (albeit a bit slow if loading big databases).
I personally quite like NavGPS, it's probably less capable as it's stand-alone (PocketFMS has a PC app, you can select maps, create routes etc and then transfer them to the PPC), but it means that it's simple, you can just fire it up anytime and start using it without preparation / flightplan creation etc.
What I'm not sure is about database currency, I never had a subscription and just used the community-made airfield databases for Europe that have been made a few years ago but were sufficient as it was just for indication.
EDIT:
There's also GPS Tuner, which is not aviation-specific so doesn't have airport databases and such, but is a good tool for simple guidance/logging. Set the destination coordinates as target, and enjoy a nice customisable screen with everything you need. And then it gets you a nice google earth track

Well your HD2 could do the same thing (maybe more cause it has a digital compass), but someone has to make and release the app.
Btw. GPS Tuner is a very nice GPS tool (Data, Maps, Compass (with solar info), Destination).

Hope you can have pricing similar to iphone apps of $1 ? *wishful thinking?*
It would be a definite buy if you can do something similar to bloomberg portfolio tracker.
I am accessing that currently from opera and the whole portfolio fits into the screen in landscape mode perfectly
I buy shares in Hongkong, Singapore, Australia and denominate them in Singapore dollars.
Hi wj888,
The app is currently on the UK marketplace for £3.19 . It has similar functionality to the bloomberg portfolio tracker, but it looks like my information has been spread over two main screens instead one wide landscape screen. I dont record the purchase date or the % portfolio but everything else is the same. These two changes I could make relatively easily.
The stocks that you can access are limited to what is available on the yahoo finance website, due to that being the underlying data source.

Hi there it may prove to be a bit difficult since I may end up with a situation of one data source per stock exchange but I will investigate.
Thanks.

Would be extremely useful if end-users can actually choose their data source from a list of sources. A working version with me a green YES for me
Not working on my Tilt 2 ?
I purchased and downloaded the software from marketplace. The application opens, I go to share finder to search stock tickers and add to portfolio.Finds ticker symbols fine
It shows items were added to portfolio.I go back to main poage and none of my stocks show up.I try to EDIT PORTFOLIO or Valuation but they are greyed out.
Quotes delayed is permanently at the bottom.
When I explore the stocks.xml file it is blank.
Am I missing something obvious?
Does PUSH INTERNET need to be enabled?
I disabled the Push Internet feature from my phone to save sys resources.
Thanks
Ron
Clicking refresh in the bottom left hand corner should update your portfolio for you.
Hi Tony
Not sure why post didnt make it.I am
to search stocks, add to portfolio but hit the BACK button and there are no stocks displayed for the portfolio. So refresh does nothing.
Perhaps bad download from markeplace. Is their still a trial one to download. Not sure if there is still going to be another problem

Hi wj888,
The app is currently on the UK marketplace for £3.19 .
Thanks for your post.

I'd like to be able to trial this software but it doesn't seem to work. Past the evaluation date, perhaps?
May I suggest you post a trial version so people like me can test before purchase?
Thanks!

Doesn't seem to offer a lot more than the built-in stock tracker.
Graphs would be great. (Like TinyStocks)
Multiple portfolios would be very wecome. (Again like TinyStocks.)
Think I'll stick with the latter for now but I really like the interface. Best of luck!
Hi Knobhead, thanks for your feedback and enhancement list, which I will try and take on board when porting the app to WinMo 7. The U.S.P of the app is to allow you to track your investment exposure to your equity portfolio on a single share basis or across your entire stock holdings.
I will take a look at Tiny stocks and do some gap analysis. Cheers

I think it will be good for new motorola's devices but I think they wouldn't do anythink for our phone because of make an update cost money and they can't win by doing this because this phone is no more for sale.
I can't decide if this matters. On the one hand, we're now two corporate restructurings removed from a company that gave a **** about the XT720 (Motorola [small **** given] > Motorola Mobility [no ****s given] > Google [patent warfare]). On the other hand Google has legendary awful customer support. It seems like a heads Sanjay wins, tails I lose situation.
i'll say it's extremely good news
this should help improve Motorola's phone to have unlocked bootloader and stock AOS, without all the bloatware they always put on it
I don't suppose we'll receive an update for an unlocked bootloader, no? Probably not because it seems Motorola will continue to operate separately from Google

I've never seen any indication that Google disapproves of the bootloader lock. They do disapprove of the lack of updates, but I'm sure we missed the boat on that.

Yes, couldn't have said it better myself. Most phones have support that barely lasts 2 years. I think this is the end of the XT720. On the brighter side, this will help google fight of apple and microsoft which were just trying to dominate the market with the patents. I see this as a good move for android/opensource as a whole!
With the capability to manufacture its own hardware, Google will be better equipped to take on the iPhone. That should be good.
Google World Domination Coming soon to a world near you.

Google needs Motorola to take over your living room
Google Evil Agenda
My original prediction:
Posted by Urgo at December 16, 2004 11:31 PM
"Don't Be Evil?" video - beta version
Google Xistence
For the past year now I've been predicting that within the next ten Google will 'take over the world'. Most people I tell this two think I'm crazy and this will never happen saying that Google is the best company ever and they will never turn evil. I tend to disagree.
Let me take just a few minutes to explain why I think this, and then at the bottom of this entry is a link to a flash video I found today with someone else thinking the same thing.
Facts - Google owns:
- Google is the most used search engine
- Gmail, while maybe not the most used email provider (maybe it is now?) it is definitely the most highly desired
- Orkut, while mostly blown over now is still a thriving social network site
- Google News is viewed as a #1 news site for many people
- Blogger is one of the leading blog sites and blogs are all over the news these days
- Keyhole offers a satalite imageing service
- Google Desktop Search
- Google Adsense - probably the most widly used advertising on the web these days (used even on this website although I haven't seen any return yet)
- And much much more, plus all the things normal people like myself have come up with such as the random google image in the right sidebar.
My point to all of this is the following:
Through GMail Google stores and never deletes your email. They catalog it and can do a LOT with that data. With time google can write robots to parse the data to find out every bit of data about you, who you know, what you talk about, etc. Gmail bundled with Orkut Google really has a solid grip on your social network with more detail and structure than email alone. Google knows who [email protected] really is, where he lives, what his passtimes are, etc and can link it up with your email conversations. Now to get even further into your life they have the Google Desktop Search which has already been called on being invasive bypassing security on people's PC's and cataloging files that it shouldn't.
Step back for a second, Google now knows who you know, what you talk about, details about every person, everything you say on your computer, what files you have, what is in each file, basically all of your Digital Data. Oh, also if you use the google search bar (IE plug-in) in advanced mode (default.. plus ohh! I want advanced features....) they track every webpage you go, although the desktop search tool does that as well. 0wned.
Next we start to see Google's current revenue. Blogs, Keyhole, Adsense. Wow, if the inflated stock doesn't make them enough $$$ then this sure helps. Although I don't believe Google charges for blogger right now they are setting themselves up for it in the future if blogging ever takes off as a legitimate news source... News.. Google news is one of the most used news services to gather news from many sources, sorted automatically for relevance...
Now, just think if Google DID want to turn evil (assuming they aren't already) how much of the market they already own. In the 90's people switched search engines all the time, but moving email providers, etc is a lot harder to do. In a few more years they'll have people so dependant on them and their products just like Microsoft people will be stuck with Google for better or.. worse.
More info on Google being evil is at google-watch.
Wow, well this was supposed to be a very short blog entry promoting a clip I saw today but I had to get my rant over with. Other then the Google-watch site that’s been around for a while, today on mefi I stumbled into a 10? min flash movie someone made giving a detailed rundown of a possible scenario that Google might take in the coming years towards world domination. I personally haven't come up with a scenario myself, and I am uncertain if this one is how its going to happen, but I was happy to see that others feel the same way as I do, that within the next ten years Google will takeover the world, or in this movie, the media forcing the New York Times offline.
Please take the time to watch this movie, and ignore the somewhat cheesiness of it. I really think they are being insightful and this COULD happen.

Google's Motorola Takeover Bid To Draw Antitrust Scrutiny, Analysts Say
I forgot that Motorola Mobility makes cable-top boxes. That's a plus for GoogleTV which I think is also Android based? Or is that Chrome based? I forget.
Today's android news keeps getting more and more interesting. First google and moto and now Cyanogen and Samsung.
"Steve Kondik, better known as Cyanogen, the father of CyanogenMod, has posted an interesting update to his professional life on his Facebook page. Steve, who has founded the largest family of custom Android ROMs on the planet, has just joined Samsung Mobile to presumably work on Android-related goodies for one of world's largest electronics manufacturers." -Android Police
(Can't post links yet, check Android Police)
Two developments which hopefully do nothing but improve the quality of the Android OS.
Good..Now Google control both software and hardware can make better opened source devices...stupid moto is dying , may google takes over and unlock all the moto build mobile deveice bootloaders
I was thrilled when reading about it. One of the main problems is that Moto seems to fail to optimize their hardware with the software. Meaning that, despite having powerful specs in several of their phones, it stills ends up being laggy and buggy. How is it that the Nexus S with its single core can outlag the Atrix? or even the Nexus One? resolution, graphics and processor needs to be better developed for usage.
Other than the bloatware, I find the Motorola developers really fail to take advantage of the specs and integrating it with Android.
Hopefully, the Moto and Google developers can get together and finally fix this problem. Specs mean nothing if the phone can't use it efficiently.
I'm pretty sure everyone will celebrate if Moto announces that they are switching to google stock, and turning motoblur into only widget apps, instead of a launcher apk. It still boggles my mind how companies can continue to push such applications, and this applies to Sony Ericcsons terrible Timescape app. it was already a trainwreck on the X10.
I have not. And I can be patient. I can wait when required to do so. I respect things in their proper time. Strangely, I have never been a 'me first' kind of a person... Strange but true.
In the app, I see where I can upgrade my cloud storage to $9.99 a month and then qualify for the Vpn . . .
What should I see ? I found and followed along the instructions given and the words did not match the displayed instructions on the web.
Up, and running...
There should be under benefits (need to setup or do some steps to activate.)and home.

Nice thanks for the helpful info. I'm awaiting the overhead burden for vpn. Guessing it's high, I have slow connections and could have used since I'm a Fi cellular...before was offered as a benefit. I couldn't live with the VPN data overhead.

Not there...
Ugg.
Under Benefits available now, I have two items.
1) Extra Google Photos editing features.
2) Ad-free YouTube . . . for 3 months
.
Scrolling down further, I get... Upgrade to Premium for more benefits. Get 2TB ( etc... )
PREMIUM
1) video calling features
2) Vpn protection
3) Play Points upgrade
4) 10% back from Google Store.
.
So, bottom line, looks like I am S.O.L. and not blessed like others seem to be.
.
Ugg, I knew I should not have stolen that candy out of that baby's mouth ! ! !
How do I convince the Google ( gods ? ) that I am worthy ?
From Italy, I've and use. Seems to work so good
I tested speed and I have to say very good. No big difference between VPN on and VPN off.

It´s a staged roll-out as always. Either you´re "lucky" and one of the early ones or you just have to wait. To me it´s plausible that the main roll-out happens combined with the december feature drop and the ones getting it prior are guinea pigs.
But from what I gathered the Google VPN just connects to google servers in your own country anyway. So it can´t be used to circumvent country restrictions and as to privacy, well everything goes through google servers then.
The only real use-case with benefits seem to be public networks.

Not yet for me (UK), it'll come, its just being phased in i guess.
I can now access the free VPN (UK). It seems to be working well so far.
Let me ask everyone here one very important question: WHY are you using a VPN?
The answer should be: "To improve security and reduce tracking". Well if you're using google's VPN, then you're accomplishing the OPPOSITE, you are REDUCING securing and INCREASING tracking, because every single bit of data that goes in or out of your phone is now being handed to google.
If you want security, look at the program "OrBot" and set it to VPN mode. Its free, and its actually secure.
Is this offer for the US market?
Not seeing in Canada yet...
After the December update it is available for me in Germany
Got it last night but i had to reboot my phone after the December update for it to become available.
If you already use this vpn, can you tell me about your experience??
I'm still waiting for when it will be available to me, and I'm still using a paid subscription here.
If someone used a paid subscription, how do you compare the work with this free one?
Used it all weekend on a free and unsecured Wi-Fi network in the hotel we stayed in, apart from the icon showing it was active i didn't notice anything different., my speeds were the same with or without it.
