MOD EDIT: Thread Closed and Post removed.
Double Posting. Please Read the RULES. Any Doubts feel free to PM me for clarification.
Samsung has always had pretty crappy update / bugfix track record... it's simply not worth investing in a device running a fully properietary OS, particularly not from Samsung.
Why'd you repost this? Its already in the off topic.

Dear Moderator
You have deleted two posts i posted today, why ??????????????
one related to root donation, which i might understand if that was against forum policy
The second one which i really dont understand was relating to the Alpha Rev team that made the achievement of unlocking the desire S via a software they released
Cool story bro (do a search and you will see you made two duplicate threads)

Dear moderator,
Please delete this thread too and give noob users a temp ban. Chit chat definitly don't should be posted in the development section. RADLOUNI, read the rules and PM the moderator, do not open a fu*king thread in dev section.
Cheers.
it's not up to xda members to tell mods what to do!

It's not hard at all. Questions belong in the general section, development belongs in the dev section. Before making a new thread, spend a few minutes researching the question you have. If you can't find an answer AFTER searching, then make a new thread, in the CORRECT section.
99 out of 100 times I can find the answer to any question via Google. Hell, I even learned how the birds and the bees work thanks to Google. Jk.
WorldWide 60's answer was helpful and respectful but smx11's was a complete fail. What a poor sense of community this person has!

Radlouni I can understand frustration when you do not understand why you are being treated a certain way. Your last post of personal attacks is just uncalled for as was the post you were responding to. In the future I suggest that you PM the Mod that you have an issue with. This thread is not productive and not in the spirit of what XDA is all about which is advancing in mobile technology. I am closing this thread if you or anyone else has an issue with this please PM me directly.
-McMex
Like everyone else says. Your threads where deleted because
A-Bounties are not allowed, I have already stated this multiple times and posted that any new threads about such things would be deleted.
and
B-Again, there was already a thread posted about the Desire S being unlocked so yours was redundant.
Please read the stickies and use the search function.
Ridiculous rule. I mainly use other forums. When I do use XDA I can never reply because I have less than 10 posts. BUT because I can't post I get pissed and leave. Thanks to MDW, DF, and all the others for not having a stupid rule.

Yeh I am finding this issue too. Very annoying!

Yeah, so just dump 10 posts in this thread and be done with it. I understand why the rule is in place, but yeah, annoying

10 spam posts will be removed by the mods and your post counter reset.
Do something usefull with your posts.
How hard is it to answer some questions or chime in on a discussion? Visit your device's Q&A and General subforums and help some people out. If you can't do that, then you don't deserve to post in the other forums.
The rule is there for a reason. If you just want to say thanks or ask a question about a thread in Development, send the member a pm until you get your post count up. Or post your question in Q&A... after searching first.

You shouldnt say thanks in a post, thats what the THANKS button is for. To reduce spam of that kind.
Posting your Question in a device specific or general Q&A thread is generally the best idea.
Some devs don't like it if they get PMs with question "how do i", "why does not", "how come"...
But beforehand you should have worked the search button so hard, your girlfriend got jealous....
My a2 earpiece got deformed. I have probably bumped it. I have unlocked my atrix 2 from att and ryt now im using it in the philippines. Any one know whats the best remedy for this? Can Motorola change my earpiece to make it look brand new?

This is a duplicate post. Please don't make multiple posts about the same thing. You already asked this question in the other thread you made. Please help keep this forum clean and have this thread closed, and use the other thread you created.

As asked by our moderator, Please help keep the threads here organized and neat.
I am not trying to be a jerk here, just letting you know. Others might not be so nice about it in the future, and if a mod sees this your thread(s) will be closed, or deleted.

I reported it to our Mod a little earlier.
Yes we are strict, we have to be in order to keep XDA running.
I am closing this thread down, continue this discussion in this thread pls.
Do not flame or attack other users, consider this a warning, a friendly message should be enough in most cases. If you see anyone not doing so, please report his post and let me deal with it.
Thanks.
How frustrated I am!! How cruel and inhumane the rule is!!
:crying:
Awaiting a lock! :fingers-crossed:
Just go read the rules fella
There were and will be hundreds of such threads, but no gain. You have to go by the rules.
Prevents spamming dev section you know
Thread reported
Edit: already beat me to it thx lifehacker.
Karl these are the rules its the way it is.
Go to your device forum and start learning. If your super dev genius then earn your ten post by helping others.
Its not such a big deal the ten post thing.
Why not introducevyouself in the general forum ?
A word about OT spamming and using OT to get your 10 post up is frowned upon by everyone and is against the rules.
You may even get your post count knocked back down.
PLENTY of ways to get your 10 post count and doing it in a positive constructive way will earn you xda "street cred" .
Crying about the ten post rule...not so much.
Welcome and be sure to read rules.
Check stickies too because a lot of the device forums have similar but sometimes a tad different rules.
Enjoy your xda journey.
I expect tjis thread to be closed soon
Inhumane huh? You should be lucky that MTM or I haven't deleted your posts yet. Just like you were previously told, if you don't like our rules I would be happy to have your account deleted.

Hi,
I know this isn't directly related to the Galaxy S4, but very often I see many 'Best ROM/Kernel' threads in the Q&A section here. In the i9100 (Galaxy S2), a forum mod created a sticky which can be viewed in the Q&A section. It clearly states that 'Best ROM/Kernel' threads are not allowed, and that people have to test for themselves.
Now, I know this will not solve the problem entirely, but those of us that take the time to look at the stickies will know why these 'Best ROM/Kernel' threads are not allowed. Also, someone will no doubt post the XDA forum rules here, but for simplicity and to tackle confusion with new members, I believe it would be helpful if a sticky like: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1612881 was created and placed in the Q&A section.
Edit: If a mod wishes a sticky to be created, I will happily edit this thread to explain why 'Best ROM/Kernel' threads are not allowed, and this could be stickied and moved to the Q&A section.
Two examples in the last two days (many more but I think it gets the point across):
1) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2427267
2) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2428727
Thanks.

Yep, couldn't agree more. I've asked for it to be done.
Thing is, stickys are largely ignored (Check the average view count) - its the same in the s3 forum
Just report the thread when it appears

That is completely true, which is kind of annoying. As for your reporting the thread idea, every time a thread is reported and closed, it is highly likely the OP is very confused, 'why was my thread closed? This forum is for ROM's, what's wrong about asking for a good ROM?!' and the problem only becomes worse. At least if the thread is closed, it should only make sense if they are directed to a sticky or thread which explains why it has been closed, instead of a simple 'no best ROM/Kernel threads!'
Feedback appreciated.

No response from any mods? If mods do not wish for a sticky to be created, then let me know and you can close this thread. A response would be appreciated.

IMHO, "Best ROM/Kernel Thread" isn't allowed here. It may downgrade the level of Devs.
For Q/A thread we already have the same in Q/A Section.

Hi,
Moderators should never close a thread without leaving an short explanation behind to avoid the "confused noob" situation. I underlined "should never" because I am perfectly aware that guideline is (unfortunately) not followed by all moderators, however, it is followed by most of us.

It has only just been brought to my attention. If you want a thread noticed by moderators, it is best to report it and leave a report message asking us to read the thread.
As for sticking this thread, I'm not sure that its necessary - Q8 in the FAQ thread by malybru in the Q&A section deals with "Best ROM/Kernel" type questions and I have also added a short note in the Moderator Introduction thread stuck in general at the bottom with the other posting guidelines about best ROM/kernel threads.
Ultimately no matter what we do, as the userbase of XDA in general gets dumber with more people moving to smartphones and seeing XDA as a place to make their phone "kewl", these threads are going to become more commonplace and as noted by DSA, if the stickies aren't read, there isn't much anyone can do about it really apart from reporting the threads to moderators.

Thanks for your detailed response, and to be honest I have to agree. As the smartphone community grows, so does the amount of noobs on this forum, and it will be near impossible to combat this. Thanks for your reply, if you wish you can close this thread now.
