Finally it's there: Your own portable cuckoo clock!!! - XPERIA X10 Themes and Apps

Well, I was looking for this to annoy my wife and everyone around me and couldn't find it. So I downloaded a 12 'o clock cuckoo clock alarm sound and with a ringtone editor I made 12 different sounds.
In my alarm application I made all different alarms from 8am till 10pm and let it repeat daily. Added the right sound to each alarm and now every hour I have my own cuckoo clock haha. I am loving it and other people will laugh about it............at first, a portable cuckoo clock....LOL!
Here in Holland it's a very old fashioned clock, I translate it litteraly to English eventhough I have no idea you know this old kind of clock.
Nevertheless, here are the 12 .mp3 sounds I created. It is just for fun and it works great. I set the alarms with "Palmary Alarms" but I am sure there are other applications where you can set these alarms and let them repeat daily
Enjoy!
Cheers,
Arnold

Sweet
I'm gonna use that as my alarm... I reckon by day two I'll wake up to see my wife hurling it out the window
And yeah, it's a cuckoo clock in english as well.

We have one in home, got it from germany. I would love it have it on my mobile.

Good stuff, thank you!
EDIT: you know some people like to criticize other people's work but for one I'll do that. This is good but the cuckoo is not in the same sequence, first cuckoo is faster that the rest of cuckoos as they get slower in 12 cuckoo you notice this more.
Am I the bad guy now?

No of course you're not.
I noticed a slight difference too, but as you use 1 cuckoo per hour, you really can't tell after six hours that one goes a tenth of a second faster than the one six hours earlier. It is just taken from one file cut in pieces with a ringtone editor. I focused only on getting the whole cuckoo on it each time....

[Live Wallpaper] Plasma

Hi all,
The past few weeks I've been working on a new live wallpaper for the Nexus One. Now that it's nearing completion, I figured I'd share it here and gather some feedback. It runs very smoothly for me, and has a ton of options. I put it in the Market a few days ago -- you can find it pretty easily by just searching for "clangen" or using the attached QR code.
Although I created my forum account some time ago, I apparently haven't been active enough and am permitted from adding URLs to my post -- maybe some friendly mod here can help me out?
At any rate, the screenshots don't really do it justice, so I uploaded a short demo video in ogg/theora format (should play out of the box in FF and Chrome):
http://plasma.clangen.org/images/plasma.ogg
You can also grab the latest build from the website:
http://plasma.clangen.org
If a mod can help me out I'll post some direct links to the latest builds in this thread.
Dudes not kidding, it is fast, very configurable, and most importantly looks pretty badass. Also comes with quite a few presets. Nice work man
This wallpaper kicks so much ass its insane! My favorite wallpaper. Other than the sperm one. XD
Absolutely sweet. Awesome work!
Awesome wallpaper. My screen transitions seem a lot smoother now with this running.
This wallpaper is simply ingenious! No other wallpaper has that much options. And the best thing: favorite settings can be saved!
This is great. It looks fabulous and the saving of effects is a great option to have. Good job man!
Downloaded
Installed
Played with settings
Saved a few
Set as wallpaper
LOVE IT!
Awesome job on this one!
I installed it, but it's really hard to see unless you have your screen brightness jacked up, which means it's going to kill your battery even more. Don't think I'll use it day to day.
Great job on it though.
this is finest live wallpaper i have used! YOU ARE THE MAN!
It just keeps FCing for me. I really wanted to try this too...

Well Done
Great work man , This is one of the best.
Thanks for all the feedback, it's much appreciated
I just posted a new version (0.9.0) to my website that allows for a much wider selection of colors.

It took this long before someone put out an honest 'first impression'
Personally, the live wallpaper has great potential - but it also is a battery hog. While most wallpapers eat about 2% of power this once takes at least 3%.
nice one !bravo

PowerAMP Music Player – The BEST Android Music Player?

I’ll be honest, I had kind of given up on finding a good replacement for the stock Android music player. There just wasn’t one that made that much of an improvement that I wanted to bother with an additional app, changing default settings, and mess with more widgets. That was until PowerAMP was released this past week. PowerAMP is the music player we’ve all been waiting for (at least the musicheads among us) and puts your Android phone into legitimate mp3 player status. With more settings than you could poke a stick at, PowerAmp gives you full control of your settings, lockscreen, equalizer, and music library without being too overwhelming.
Check out my video walkthrough of PowerAMP. What do yall think?
I just switched to it this week and don't plan on going back.
how is it for battery? if you close it with task manager it will open itself back up
I really like it but dont need it sucking battery life in background when not needed

Well first of all, I never use task managers, but thats a whole different discussion
I didn't see any change in battery life from using it. I don't think it really drains much in the background.
I think I still prefer Winamp, but will continue checking it out as they update it.
will give it a try
It does not suck battery and I agree that it is by far the most complete music app. Plays all my file types. Actually finds all my files properly and has an eq. It also has a nice ui! I couldn't be happier. It's the only app i've really been wanting to pay for.
Sent from the void...
Finally a music app with a great EQ
now i can really feeeeel the bass!
I've been happy with it. Definitely the most complete player out there. The only other thing I would like to see in it is a Sleep Timer function.
I've been pushing this app since it was in beta. I am an audiophile and the difference in this and all the others sound wise is night and day. Amazing what some of the devs. come up with. Those having problems with the sound need to tweak it with a good set of headphones or speakers. If you push pre-amp or eq settings too high, you will get distortion.
just bought the trial remover...this is the best player I have had the pleasure to try and plan on keeping it!!
I have that Sprint extended battery and was playing music with it for a few hours, battery life didnt take that much of a hit tbh
Just payed for it, happily.

Yeah i posted this puppy hear last month the weekend the original beta dropped with the youtube preview. A lot of people were trying to debate about mixzing and this app. IMO its got better UI and the lockscreen control, crazy, full album art, switch between folders and easy navigate. i think its gonna be a more feature rich player and considering its still coming out of beta, it should be good coming in more features that are needed and not excessive garbage.

Completely agree with you there man. I wasn't impressed with mixzing at all. I had kind of just accepted that I'd be using the stock music app and then this gem came along. Glad everyone else is having the same great experience I am
Loving this player...thanks for hipping us to it!
Cant download
I bought the full version I did have the 230 version like it the instructions I also enter and pressed back but it wont install it says authorizing purchase with the intstall bar just buzzing but no installation I sent a email to the developer but im not if I should refund before the 24 hour period anyone else have this problem or suggestions?
I used it for a while, but didn't like the way it stayed open in the background. It's a great music player, and I may go back to it one day, but I'm sticking with Winamp for now.

It is not hard at all on the battery. I use it for at least two hours everyday and have great battery life. Doesn't **** just stay up in the background without running in Froyo in general?
simply put yes its the best player imo. i love it & i dont see myself using anything else for quite some time. the EQ is great, has options for music art & media folders. great player, best looking widget i've seen yet.

MIUI lockscreen

Sup
just wanted to share this with everyone......came across it today
I just got my skyrocket 3 days ago and really miss the miui rom i was running on my previous phone (x10)......more importantly the lockscreen
im running the gorgeous ICSrom right now but i find the lockscreen a lil "bland"
came across this "free" in market and it works like a charm!!!
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.miui.home&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5taXVpLmhvbWUiXQ..
it comes with a theme viewer/downloader........but the best part is.......you can apply ANY .mtz file also.......since i still have all my miui files i was able to get my fav lockscreen back.......fully functional with charging animations, custom wallpaper option, notifications....etc
hope you enjoy if you didnt already know about this
peace
Thanks for sharing with us! But there is already a thread in this section about the MIUI lockscreen. Someone beat you to the punch, LOL! I liked the MIUI lockscreen, but here is what I posted about it in the other thread. Remember, this was MY experience with the app, yours may differ. Read below.....
"Thanks for the link, much appreciated. I used this lock screen app for about 3 days, there are some beautiful lock screen themes included (and downloadable) for this app. BUT...... It is a MAJOR battery hog. On average I was loosing about 2 to 3% battery drain per hour. At the end of my work day (9 to 10 hours), I'm usually around 75% on my battery with stock lock screen. When I started using the MIUI app, I was down to 50 - 55% battery at the end of my day. Switching back to stock lock got my percentages back to normal. If you can deal with the battery drain, it's cool app, even with all the Japanese lingo, lol...."
interesting.......ill keep an eye on that
my bad, didnt see the other post on the second page
thanks
This wakelocks a lot

Thanks! I got it from a friend, but I'm pretty sure it was on Imgur/ Reddit/ one of those! Just loved the design, especially since I usually use "No Wallpaper" so the solid color design is perfect.

Good design. I want more variation because I like this.

[App][4.0+] ClearFocus

Description: ClearFocus is a time-management app which helps you being more productive. Are you tired of wasting your time on distractions instead of focusing on what really matters? ClearFocus is for you!
Based on The Pomodoro Technique©, it alternates working sessions with small breaks. This will let you concentrate more easily and get things done.
You can find it on Google Play
What d'you think?
Lol thanks. I can never sit and do my homework and then take a short break, rather an extremely long break with no homework done.

Thanks a lot guys!
I've updated the app, it's now possible to automatically disable Internet connection or vibration & sounds during working sessions.
New update: 2.3+ support, new "Share App" button and many bugfixes!
Wow! I'm blown away
This is an absolute keeper. The design of the icon, interface, and overall UX is just spot on!
Question: How did you do the "send anonymous data"?
Just what I was looking for! Thanks a lot
Awesome Work! App is just surprisingly good!
I've been looking for something like this. Very simple and neat. Please keep it that way!
NEW Icon !!
Hello OP, Im really liking this app of yours. Great Job! :good:
I got bored and decided to make you a little something.. let me know if you like it.
i can always change it to match something else, like take off the shadows or change the color, ect.
Wow this would be very helpful..! I really need something like this Thanks Andrea
I really like this app! Great, clean graphics.
great!
This app is great, thanks! But i am wondering, could you make a hardcore mode for your app? Like you cant exit from app, you cant do anything, there is only the timer? Aah! I know, a lockscreen mod? Until the time ends, you cant unlock your phone, even if your work finished... that would be fun! Also like a desk clock mode, zero brightness etc? have nice day, good job :3
Lovin' It
..Thanks to you i can study better for my exams (which are due on 28th JAN ) ..Thanks a lot mate :victory:
Great work

I think having this option would be a great idea, for us with really poor self discipline.
I´ve been actually thinking about looking for an app that would do just this. I´ll try it right away!
Does anybody know if there is a similar freeware program for PC? Say, you can block certain urls so they can´t be accessed during a period of time etc...
This app is exactly what I need. In addition it is really simple and have nice UI. Thank you!

I think cizkek have a loot of good ideas.
My own propositions: lookscreen mod with timer on it (just one touch to check it) and option to hide notification bar while timer is going.
Did not think it would, but this alternating work-break really helps me concentrate on studies. Thanks a lot.
