Are you on a deodexed 2.2 - are you on a rom?

Theme doesn't work. Same result as the previous poster who mentioned constant force closing. It requires a reboot and restore from backup. This happened on v1 but was fixed by updating the 2.3.9 to 2.3.15 then installing the theme. On the same 2.3.15 system v1.2 will not install.

ota 2.2 deodexed with 928

how do you reboot and restore from backup? I have bacup saved just cant do anything because of the force close loop.

Pull battery. Wait 10 sec then stay it up. Should load recovery.
Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk

"stay it up" what is that....did you mean start it up??

didn't work... i have to go somewhere in an hour....how can i reset with this thing doing this. even when you force close it keeps repeating.

I am running 2.2 (2.3.15) Official OTA and another person I know is running rubiX rom (he had to clear cache via RECOVERY) and he got it to work - I am comfused as to why you guys are having issues

Yeah. Stupid swype....
Neither of you were running roms right?

if your FC'ing use bootstrap recovery and get back in to recovery and load an image you saved before you flashed...

If you used the update.zip method keep doing barry pulls. Don't let it fully load. Pull barry if it his the eye. It may take a few tries but it will load recovery.

Thats just it..i cant get to programs... force loop won't let me do anything. Is there another way??

Ok lets start over. How did you install this?
Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk

If you get stuck in the FC loop just grab the 2.2 OTA SBF file and flash it.

installed by install zip through boot. I forgot when you power on push vol down and it puts you into recovery....restoring now.

Try resetting your wifi connection on your phone.

Only using 3G and already restarted...will try again..odd
I had this issue over the weekend. I tried several things from the internet.
1. Resetting my connection, airplane mode, etc.
2. Unmounting/remounting the internal SD card.
3. Clearing the Market Cache
The final thing that made it work was rebooting the phone. I don't know if any of those other things helped, but that was the final step.
Rebooting the phone should fix it.
Did it and nothing...I guess Im going to remove the battery too.
Not good...this happened after I had to boot twice as the phone got stuck during boot fir the first time ever and when I opened Market I had to accept the agreement but everything else was normal.
Op, are you completely stock?
And I'm assuming that by "nothing" you mean you have tried multiple apps
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
Nope I am not stock per se :
SuperRooter + lagfix ext2.3 + OCed 1.2Ghz
This just happened this morning after that odd issue rebooting the phone where it got stuck on the galaxy S image then on next boot I had to accept some agreement for the Market place.
Still no solution for this..

Could be....I am thinking that forced reboot I did could be the issue here. I also noticed that all my ringtones have been reset to defaults. Good thing I did a recent back up with ClockworkMod thingy although I not clear yet on how to restore it lol

Do you have titanium backup?
Yes I do have Titanium...probably done 2 days before this happened.
Did a restore back up with the ROM Manager clockworkmod and it seems to be all good now.
Have you tried using that backup and restoring app+data?

Fission 1.1 - Rubix 1.0 - BBC Dark Bar & Clear Lockscreen

Ok, I ported BBCrackman's Dark Status Bar and Clear Lockscreen mod over to Fission 1.1.
I took out all the apps, lib file, boot animation and moto-res.apk from his original as well as change the install script. I also used the framework-res from Fission 1.1 as the base.
Obviously, the credit goes to BBCrackman, Droid928 (icons) and Eugene373 (battery icon)!
Boot into recovery, mount system install zip and reboot

There is nothing in here which would cause that. It only changes the framework-res and services.jar. The script doesn't make any other changes to your system.
You have to Mount System first. You only have one post here so I'm guessing you forgot to do that.
In Recovery, navigate to Mounts and Storage. Hit the camera button on MOUNT /System until it says MOUNT /System Unmount.
Then, navigate to the .zip file and install it. Hit the power button once to take you back to the main menu of Recovery. Then hit the camera button on Reboot your phone, the very top option.
There is no possible way this would cause those problems.
Are you installing this on a Droid X?

Loaded perfectly fine on my DX using the provided instructions. This theme is anything but a fail.
GMB
I mounted system as directed. I am very careful with these things. I didn't mean to come off as a jerk, I was just pissed that I had to do a restore, and lost 24 hours of tinkering with Fission 1.1, and I lost root again.
Does this theme only work with the DROID X?

[MOD] GRI40 Battery Percentage

Flash this in recovery mode
Gives you a honeycomb style battery percentage with white numbers.
This is for a stock ROM using the OTA update, Rooted
Attatched below are two files.
BatteryPercentageGRI40STOCKa.zip - Can be flashed in recovery on your N1
GB-HC-BatPercentageImages.zip - Is the pack of images used so they can be "morphed" to a different ROM / PHONE

Oooh! This sounds great. Small request, though... Would it be possible for you to release this as a morph as well, since the systemui.apk and framework-res.apk that this zip updates are device and ROM specific? I would love to give it a shot on my NS on CM7RC1.

Flashed on the [Update 3] ROM:GRI40 (2.3.3) Stock + De-odexed + Rooted + Busybox + Insecure boot and notification bar is disappeared.
I flashed this over the GRI40 Stock + De-odexed + rooted, and the notification bar disappeared as well.
Reflashed the above ROM and the bar is back.
I guess I will wait until a solution is found.
Thanks anyway. Looked nice on the lockscreen though...
For anyone having problems just use the UOT kitchen and build your own using your own framework-res.apk and system.apk this may be device dependent. Not too sure why others are having trouble.
installed w/o probs from recovery on a gri40 deodexed rooted, notification bar is still there
Damn, notification bar is gone...should have read the posts before flashing...
havent done a nandroid backup, is there any chance, to get the notification bar back without wiping?
i doubt it
i already solved it....i reflashed the rom...everything works fine

I just cooked on UOT kitchen and darn am loving the honeycomb battery widget! FTW! am on CM7 build #13 ahihihihi
Word of warning to those not able to read the fine print: this only works on deoxied roms
I found out when using this on my DHD (rooted, s-off, manually applied all the updates/OTA's etc, kept stock HTC Sense UI): I could update everything fine.
However, after the boot anim, I'd hit the 'enter PIN' screen, which wouldn't have my wallpaper but a black background. I'd get a lot of force-closes, too, but could see the new battery indicator! After entering my pin, I'd hit the pattern lock screen (also with a black background, still with the new batt. ind. present) .... and after I input my pattern, I guess Sense UI would crash and I would boot through and only be able to get to the exact same point again.
Luckily I'd backed up using ROM manager and a quick reflash of my system solved everything ....
Now I'll be searching for ways to get this with a minimum of deoxing. Could I use this battery indicator (using the online rom kitchen) by just deoxing framework-rez.apk? And could I re-ox it after applying the new battery indicator? As that's really the only thing I want to change right now...
Loop Reboot on Nexus One with GRI40 Root Deodexed ecc... with your attached file...
So I Tryed (in the UOT Kitchen) use my actually Framework+SystemUI and those from Rom .zip file...Same thing..
Some Suggestion?
Can someone let me know if I can use this on a rooted, stock sence rom EVO Shift? Also, what do I have to do? I'm sort of a noob to Android.

It's not go launcher mate i see you have ics theme installed you need to fix your boot media properties or it will do that.. I have always had Go launcher x it works fine... But as soon as i put the ice cream sandwich theme on it drains my battery like mad..
The Dark LeStat has made a fix for it in the thrill forums go find the fix for the ics theme and it will fix your problem...
Is this a LG Firmware Based ROM?
If yes, download this and run it.
CPU HOG FIX
Is this a Script or update zip ?
I know that this theme drains battery, but i restored oryginal boot sounds. This fix is for that?

OOPS sorry i forgot lol my bad...
You are going to connect your phone to the pc with debugging mode on.. Then your going to go to your pc and extract the cpu hog file you downloaded, Once you have done that go inside the folder you extracted and double click the fix rom and cmd will come up press the number one on your keyboard making sure your phone is connected in debug mode. so click 1 and enter and let it do it's job. Then when it's done a message will come up saying finished just exit the program and restart ypur phone and your done..
So
1. Download the file
2. Extract the file to your desktop best place to extract..
3.Connect your phone (Make sure under applications development the usb debugging is ticked)
3. Inside the folder you extracted double click Fix-ROM
4.Press 1 hit enter (then let it do its thing)
5. When it is done disconnect your phone and restart.
Sorted..
Thanks its very easy, i just never do that kind of things, thou i used adb shell sometimes
Thanks, I'll see if this helps, but I'm afraid my drain is a little one and not connected to this CRAZY AS HELL 'ics theme drain'
But may it be connected to some tweaks in a ROM? Like some ram tweaks, or oom groupings, or famous 'hard to kill launcher' tweak ? Just a thought.
go launcher
honestly go launcher is a battery hog by itself its huge it was my favorite launcher till i found that out so i went to a lite wieght launcher now im on ics using apex but yeah go launcher is power HUNGRY but very customizable
I think i found it. Battery drainer was go task manager widget. Arter i uninstalled it, the battery drain is gone.
