[Q] How to Disconnect a Samsung Cellphone into PC - General Questions and Answers

I just got my Samsung cellphone 4 days ago and I want to connect it to my computer but I don’t have cable and my phone also don’t have a Bluetooth. I just thought of my old Samsung cellphone charger and other USB cable. I asked my brother to connect the two so I can connect my phone to my computer. USB cable has 4 wires colored red, green, black and white. Samsung charger has 2 wires colored red and white. We did a trial and error of connecting colored wires. When I connect my cellphone to computer, my computer just restarted and my cellphone was turned off. I immediately unplug the USB cable from computer and cellphone. There’s no problem in my computer but my cellphone has. My cellphone keeps on charging even without the USB cable or charger plugged in it. And when I pressed any keys, it says, “Connected to PC”. I connect the charger to the cellphone and it says its recharging. But I cannot turn my cp on while its being plugged in wall charger. When I unplug my cp to wall charger and turn it on, it worked but after a few minutes. My cellphone is turned off again by itself. I don’t know what to do now. Please help me. Thank you so much in advance.

[Q] Infuse 4g wont charge or conect to the computer

Suddenly as it usually happens it stop charging or connecting to the computer. I tried 3 different cables and wall charger. The only thing it does if I turn it off and then plug in the charger or computer cable it will start but it won't charge nor it will not connect to the computer. I think it's the port.

Try uninstalling your drivers for the phone and reinstalling them. That should solve whatever problem you're having with the phone not charging or connecting to the computer because it sounds like all of the drivers needed are not present.
I had this same issue. Mine would charge ONLY if the micro USB was plugged in ever-so-perfectly. The slightest bump would knock it loose, and it would not charge. I ended up buying spare batteries on eBay that came with a battery charger for around $12. Not the ideal solution, but I always keep a battery charged just in case it decides to die. I can get an upgrade in January, so I'm waiting this out.
Also, if you need to connect to computer, I just unplug my micro SD card, and plug that into an adapter and transfer any data that way. I know there is a website that will fix / install a new micro USB port on the Infuse. Sorry I don't know the link off hand, but I have read a few others that have had similar problems.
Best of luck!

[Q] Problem with charger

Hello,
I didn't use my tablet since 2 month and last week, i installed team EOS 4.2.2 JB rom.
After, my cable did'nt worked, When i tried to conect it to my computer, there was an error message that the tablet wasn't detect correctly.
And when i put the cable into the charger and the table to charge on the wall, i saw the icon on the right corner of the tablet charging but in the information battery, i sax that "Disconect" and the tablet % didn't grow up.... So i thought the cable was dead and i bouth one new on ebay.
With the new cable, no problem the tablet was detect and the charging with the charger was good. But after 2 days, i had new problems.
when i conect the tablet on my laptop, all is OK, the tablet is detect normally. But whn i try to charging with the charger on the wall, the tablet doesn't charge. I see the icon in the right corner is charging but in the battery informations, i see "disconect" again and the battery doesn't charge.
Yesterday, i saw a topic that i can put the charger on the freezer, i put it alle the night and i tried this morning but nothing the tablet does'nt charge.
On the charger, there is 2 parts, I open the little part with removing a screw and i tried to little move the 2 metal parts but nothing alwas the same problem.
So i think now the problem is not the new cable but the charger.... I know it's a specific voltage and if i try with my HTC ONE X charger, this will not work...
But maybe it's a problem with the tablet connect port?
I changed the rom and i installed the Cyanogen 4.2.2 this morning, and now when i conect the cable, with the computer, it's OK i see my tablet but the icon on the table isn't charging and i see "disconect in the battery information". And with the charger wall, it's the same, i have charge icon and i have disconect in the battery information
Do you think i must buy a new charger?
Sorry for my poor English my French
Try a trickle charge from the USB PC > Tablet
Plug the tablet cable into PC USB port and turn off the screen, then leave to trickle charge overnight
If you have the screen on it will not charge, so best to leave it off for a few hours to test if it is a charger problem

When you use PC USB to charge, it will not show charging on the screen, you have to leave it overnight for best test results
The freezer trick should only be used for about 20 minutes just to cool the charger down and reset the cutout
Try trickle charge overnight, if it works, its the charger
I think this is because tablet use a lot of power when in use and that is why the tablet is discharging when you use it. PC has even less powerful USB charger so the tablet will probably be recharging VERY slowly or even discharging when you use it.
You should leave tablet overnight to recharge and it is better to charge it in one piece than constantly plugging and unplugging it from PC.
Have a nice day,

You should be able to charge and use it at the same time with the actual charger plugged in, but you are correct, with the PC you can not use and charge unless you mod your USB ports for extra power
Ok i will try to conect the tablet (power off) all the night to my computer but i think it will not charge...
And if it's not work, it's not a problem with the cable because i can use the cable to transfer media PC> Tablet, so it's a problem on the tablet connector?
Hello,
My tablet was charging all the night. She was at 22% and now 38.... It's very slow!!! But now, i know that my tablet and my cable are OK and my charger is the problem.
There is a solution to repair my charger or i must buy an other?

Try this, separate charger and its pins, then take it along with the cable and put it in a zip pouch, now freeze for say 2 hrs. Take it out let it return to normal temperature and then try charging. Remember freeze them in a zip pouch (air tight)

s7 behave strange during usb cable charge

Hi all,
i want to ask if someone has already encountered with following behavior:
Suddenly, without any apparent reason, my Samsung galaxy S7 stopped charging via USB cable.
note on the side: I mostly charge through wireless.
I tried factory reset, i tried different wall charger, cables, cleaning of usb port.
What is strange is that when i connect phone to usb cable the screen lights up, but charging does not start. Data transfer to pc through usb works fine too.
Now i have discovered that when i put my phone on charging pad (wireless charger) and i connected a usb cable while charging , phone switched without any problems from wireless charge to usb cable charge and then continues charging.
wtf?
any thoughts what to do next?
Thank you!
I've never charged wirelessly before but that sounds like a hardware problem to me. You'll have to return it to your mobile carrier and get a replacement.

Restart after plug USB charge

Hello,
I have some issue with Xperia XZ Premium with charging
I install new software : 47.2.A.4.41 CE
After connecting the top-up phone, the phone reboots (not depending on whether it is connected to a charger or a computer).
Without disconnecting the USB cable, the phone is charging correctly, but after a short time (eg about 1 hour) the phone reboots.
The phone is working properly, until I have to plug it in for landing.
I checked on many USB cables, and chargers, and PC
Additional;
I got bootloader unlocked - I'don't wont to send to service in warranty

I have this issue when I used the phone in water (or under water).
Maybe check if your port is dry.

Weird charging problem

Hey everyone,
I have quite a rare problem going on with my phone...
When on, it won't recognize anything plugged to Usb port (neither the charger nor headphones).
When turned off, it recognizes the charger, and starts charging correctly, and if I turn phone on while charging, it will continue to charge correctly (quick charge and everything)
Same with headphones, if I plug the headphones while off, when turning it on with headphones plugged, it recognizes them.
But once I unplug any of them and ready plug them, they aren't recognized any more.
Phone is 100% stock, never tampered with.
Any ideas are welcome.
