Lack of CDMA rom forum(do we neeed one) - Touch Pro2 CDMA

As we all know. We don't have a CDMA rom section. But only for gsm devices which are no use for us. So I have made a request to have one so that we can ask all developers to post there. That way we can attract more members also as most of them go to other forums.
So I created a post at this thread eeqursting for a CDMA section
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=616206&page=111
So pls give your reponses om that thread so that we could be successful

I agree with you of the lack of support for us CDMA users!!!!!!!. I have the Sprint Tab 7 and I regret having it. I may sell or destroy mine and get a GSM SOON!!!!!!!!. I hate not having support. I feel like a second class citizen!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know in the past there has been some animosity between this forum and ppcgeeks but hopefully its not sacrilege to post a link to..... ppcgeeks' cdma tp2 dev/rom forum

Not many people cook for CDMA TP2 lately. Best bet to find a ROM for our old phones is PPCG. Ofcourse the person above my post gave a link...so you will have to click that and find out.

I guess not a lot of people use a CDMA one? ppcgeeks has a sub-forum for the CDMA Rhodium phones.

Petition: For new HTC Juno/Phoebus - T-mobile Shadow - Dopod c750 section.

As this device is now available in multiple parts of the world, I believe that it deserves a section on the forums as many of the other HTC devices do. At first with the understanding that sections are only created for devices released throughout the world, the Juno has been announced for Dopod as the c750. I and many others believe it is time for the device to shine. Please give us a section.
If you believe in this movement for a new section, please acknowledge below. And hopefully in time we will all be able to rejoice in the new comming.
I've pm one of the forums admins and he told me that we will have a section soon....
Well thats good to hear. Lets hope its soon.
I agree that we need a section for the juno/shadow/c750. We need a place where more people can collaborate on shadow-specific topics
i''m with you guys on this one too
in as well
Me too! I cant wait!
I'm ALL for it. It would be great to get back to xda forums since not a not goes on at Modaco. No rip there.. but you guys know what I'm talking about. All the real action is here!!
Just got mine, and I'm all for this.
I'm in also.
Me too....
I'd like to see one as well.
Please. Pretty Please.
Excellent idea! I'd read it!
i would also like to see an iris/s640 thread/forum..
and a 6.1 rom for it. pretty please.
I would love a shadow section
same here!
pretty please!
We've even started to cook roms and there is not section yet!!!

Exactly... We need to move forward with this device. Having the Juno spread throughout the Smartphone general forum is time consuming and not very professional. Please mods, I beg of you. Take 5 minutes and please open us up a forum. As the device is rolled out more throughout the world, you will see more of a rush of readers looking to XDA-DEVELOPERS.com for information and modifications to make their Juno/Shadow/c750 their own.
Please, we beg of you... Oh Gods of the Smartphone Underworld...

HTC Max 4G Forum?

Hey guys,
Could one of the moderators add a forum for the new HTC Max 4G? I know it's a lot of forums to add, but I think this device looks really promising
thanks

i second that. i hope it will work on the att network!
I am assuming that because of this models limited release, it won't be getting a dedicated forum.
Could someone please confirm or deny that Blackstone mods and software are compatible with the Max? If so, then the lack of it's own forum won't be as missed considering the ample community surrounding the HD.
Thank you.
Guys
In About XDA-Devs there is a thread called petitions form users to mods
I think this asking should go there, so you´ll have more chances to get their atention
Just a suggestion.
Looks like a great device, but in order to have a forum, you have to actually have people contributing to it. In all the HTC forums that I read regularly , I have only read one post from someone in Russia, who actually has one.
Any others?
Cool device...I've only seen 2 prior threads on it in the HD section & Networking section.

The first two posts are rather old, the individuals probably weren't aware the device was only being released in Russia. I doubt there are any people actually expecting the Quartz to get a forum of its own at this point.
I simply didn't want to start a new thread for my question, so bumped this one instead. I see where I should have been more clear. Denco7 and Galaxys are correct in their observations that there will likely be little activity directed toward this handset directly. I was just hoping to get some clarification on whether Quartz owners can play with contributions for the HD or not.
In retrospect, starting a new thread in the Blackstone forums would have been more effective.

Here's the original max4g thread that may have some info or you can ask questions:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=461922&highlight=max4g
Two facts.
1. HardSPL available (by cmonex).
2. First cooked ROMs have been tested by 4pda users.
Hope these would be enough for hosting new forum for Quartz users as their activity will definitely boost.
first of all mods can't make new forums only admin can do that

this is the forum specific made for such requests
Oh if with gonna have a review this gonan be nice, its a great device.

CDMA Diamond sub forum?

What would it take to get a CDMA Diamond sub forum. I have a rom that I've posted in the diamond upgrading forum before, but I get a bunch of GSM users trying to brick their phones with it. I'm sure I can guarantee at least 4 different chefs and two kitchens if you start a CDMA Diamond upgrading sub forum. Please.
I second the request!
GG
Count me in
+1, EXPAND xda
i agree totally.
Amen! Great idea.

I will raise the request with the site admin. It may take a bit, but I will post any updates in this thread.
That would be great. Wherever you go Inda...we'll find you

Thank you very much!
intxROM would be posted here as well.
I would post the updated Ultralite ROM and Kitchen too. At this point there are too many clueless GSM users in the Diamond forum who would flash my CDMA rom for me to want to support it at XDA. I don't want to post it at PPCGeeks either based on recent events.

Thanks alot! Groove's request would be very well received by many members of this forum
I'd release here if there were a CDMA forum.
Count me in.
Go Chefs go....you all deserve the utmost respect which can not be censored!!!
A bit late to the request party, but I agree on the expansion too!
dja2k
I think this would be a great benefit to this forum.
Pretty please??
mod...thanks for the consideration.
Great idea Inda. not only would be it be beneficial to the CDMA users ( and GSM for that matter) but it also would be a great expansion for this site.

It would be great to have another place to share.
I'd post my WM6.5 ROM here under these circumstances.

Mytouch Carrier switching

Greetings all,
Wondering if anybody have ran into a way to change provisioning , im currently on T-Mobile and would love to switch it to AT&T. Just havent seen anyone bring this up in the forums.
Thanks in advance!!!!
Apologize, posting in proper forum location.
I'm sorry but i fail to notice any link between android development and switching carriers...
I'm sorry but i fail to notice any link between having attitude and helping other members in this forum ... regardless of whether they've posted a question in the wrong forum...

Call T-Mobile and request a sim unlock code, takes 1 to 2 weeks to get it emailed to you.. You will not be able to have 3g working on ATT wireless. They have different frequency bands, but it will do edge.
Hope this clears this thread up and it can now be moved or closed!
BTW try posting in general for these types of ? or just a quick "google"

ROM removed from XDA

You can find my ROM at PPC Geeks here.
..........

AWESOME
Welcome
Good to see another chef joining here. Will flash the 6.5.X rom later (battery is empty)
You've maked an awesome thread if you ask me (totaly clear what I can expect when flashing this one). the screenshots, the info about the rom, everything what's needed is in the first posts...
Can i Help you with mirrors? Guess not needed with the great direct download links.
Will comment when I've played with this rom.

Thanks for trying me out and thanks for the compliments on the thread! I always try to make the 1st post contain all necessary information and give users a pretty good feel for what they're getting into. It goes unnoticed most of the time. It's good to see someone appreciate it!
If someone is having trouble with a download you can certainly mirror it. Hold off for now though. I'd like to try and keep track of how many times it's being downloaded.
For a bit more reading and history on the ROM you can also check out the veteran thread at PPCGeeks. The link is in my sig.
Thanks again! I look forward to your feedback!
CDMA !
WOW, Just saw it in time, this ROM is for CDMA devices only... DON'T FLASH THIS ROM ON YOUR GSM DEVICE.
To sharkie405:
I'll not flash this one with my GSM device.
There's another thread especially for CDMA devices HERE
There are no CDMA ROMS posted in this thread (Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile ROM Development).
To bad, would love to try this ROM, but I don't want to brick my Touch Pro 2 GSM.
Dammit!! Why are there no ROMs in that forum?? I thought that's where I should have posted it... Are there just no CDMA ROMs here? I'll have to get with a mod to move the thread then. Sorry about that. Glad you caught it in time.

Yeah, strange there are no ROMS, even NRGZ28 has his CDMA ROMs only posted on PPCGEEKS...
Now you are where you belong.
Thank you Sharkie.
Will be trying this one out very soon.
Nice to see more CDMA options around.(or any, on XDA)
Thanks NRG and Santod. I guess we'll find out why everyone has pulled their CDMA ROMs from XDA.
In any event, it's good to be here tucked away in the ever shrinking world of the CDMA TP2. A diamond in the rough...

Yes, thanks NRGz very much.
For moving this thread and for being the most dedicated rom chef I have seen.
I have always been grateful for your consistency of rom releases for both GSM and more so, for CDMA.
It is very unfortunate that there are not more options for us.
As not all GSM rom chefs care to do both.
Would be great of they did, so that there were not only more options, but also more bugs and issues that are CDMA related could be worked out amongst multiple experienced chefs.
Anyway, glad to see another option Sharkie.
Bump!
I see that this thread has 422 views. At least 200 or so of those views have been since the thread was moved to the proper location. I assume that at least some of the 200+ people that have viewed this thread since it was moved are in possession of a CDMA TP2 and furthermore I also assume that at least a few of you have flashed the ROM.
So, what do you think? Don't be shy
I Added this to the 2nd post for anyone that missed some of the wallpapers I used to include...
"HERE is a 7zip file of most of the wallpapers that I used to include in the ROMs but removed to save space. There are 1 or 2 originals by me in there, but most of them are from places like Zedge.net, Santod, Titleloo over at XDA and many more... I can't remember everywhere I nabbed a pic from, sorry "
Added new SharkieROM Cutting Edge Series ROMs to 1st post. Check back often for the latest and greatest!
nice rom man, its good to see ppl here
Great to finally see someone posting CDMA ROMs on XDA. I wish you had this as a GSM ROM. It looks great. Please keep it up here. XDA needs more quality CDMA ROMs like this.
Thanks guys! Yeah, I'm sticking around for the long haul. I told myself before I started the thread that no matter if there is absolutely no audience for CDMA TP2s here, I was going to stick around, just for the hell of it. Like you said, it's XDA, WTF do you mean there's no TP2 CDMA ROMs?!?! C'mon now! So, here I am
23699 and 28244 CE ROMs are up!
Added 23699 and 28244 SharkieROM CE v2.0 R2s to the 1st post!
MMTaskManager Skin is up in 2nd post.
I've made an MMTaskManager skin and posted it along with a couple of screenies in the 2nd post. If you try it, let me know what you think!
